    The BBC and half a story;

    Anybody read the BBC editors spot on Friday defending so many muslim related stories on the news ,well as the news.

    Too many Muslim stories?
    Matt Morris
    6 Oct 06, 04:21 PM

    I happened to overhear a BBC editor saying “these Muslim stories are like buses – they all come along at once”. I suppose it might have been expressed more sensitively but you get the point – there were a lot of stories about Islam in the news yesterday.
    ——————————————–xxx—————————————————————————-
    So – overall – the fact that the policeman is a Muslim is a factor in the story and deserves prominence. But we might never know the full details behind his request to be excused duty at the Israeli Embassy – in spite of everything that’s been said since the news emerged http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/theeditors/2006/10/too_many_muslim_stories.html

    So according to Mr Morris (The head of News 5 live) the fact that he was a Muslim deserves prominence.
    Here is another story from the 5th of Oct from the BBC which somehow leaves out the religious affiliations of the main characters http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgow_and_west/5413510.stm
    Now if I was even a half decent reporter I would be asking the question why a bunch of people who have no problems banging their drum about how pious they are in following their faith would be out and about in a nightclub (where it all started)
    And with the following revelation here is a little something from last year about how a certain Glaswegian minority faith feels towards alcohol near them. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/hi/news/5039699.html
    So why were those cold blooded murderers out on the lash didn’t they fear repercussions from the local minority faith community for doing something which goes against the tenets of their faith. I mean on the 6th of Oct the BBC reported this little snippet;
    A man convicted of the murder of Glasgow teen Kriss Donald has refused to give evidence at the trial of three other men accused of the killing. Former shopkeeper Daanish Zahid, 22, said his life would be in danger if he talked about the events of March 2004. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgow_and_west/5413510.stm

    So a the followers of a faith which who no problem berating non followers for not respecting their faith;
    Cartoons,
    Alcohol,
    Veils,
    Female rights,
    Apostates,
    The war on terror,
    Glasgow airport,

    Don’t have a problem with their young cubs hanging out in a nightclub with scantly dressed women, Alcohol and Music.
    But do with one of them grassing up the murderers of a young child who was brutally murdered .Oh look there’s that ‘H’ word again. So quoting the statement from Mr Matt Morris and the story he wrote for the BBC Blog;
    “So – overall – the fact that all the guilty are Muslims is a factor in the story and deserves prominence

    It appears prominence for the BBC is only when the person in the spotlight is a victim.

    The BBC and really half a story.

    Alan Man’s link to a supposedly ‘new’ cartoon row in Denmark:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/6033075.stm

    contains no mention of faked cartoons being peddled in order to encourage protests. It doesn mention, however:

    Danish Muslim leaders, who last year travelled abroad to rally support for their protests, said they would not be provoked by the latest incident, the BBC’s religious affairs correspondent Robert Pigott reports.

    Yep, they travelled abroad, to rally support for the protests, with a case full of faked cartoons.

    “Leave out inconvenient facts – this is what we do.”

    Syrian leader courts Israel talks
    Syria is prepared to hold talks with Israel and wants a peaceful solution to the Middle East conflict, President Bashar al-Assad has said.

    In an interview with the BBC’s John Simpson, President Assad said Syria and Israel could live side-by-side in peace accepting each other’s existence.

  4. Biodegradable says:

    DEBKAfile’s sources: Tehran and Damascus are gearing up for a pre-emptive Syrian attack on Israel to ward off a US strike on Iran’s nuclear sites
    Our military and Washington sources read as preparatory justification the Syrian ruler Bashar Asad’s statement Saturday, Oct. 7, that he expects an Israeli attack.
    He was speaking in an interview to Kuwaiti paper al-Anba.
    Asad’s Iranian-backed war plan would serve the purpose of forcing the Americans to divide their military assets between a strike against Iran and the defense of their allies in the Persia Gulf, Israel and US forces in Iraq. Both are seriously looking at a Syrian attack on the Golan which would escalate into a full-blown Syrian-Israeli war and a second Hizballah assault from Lebanon.
    Asad’s remark that during the Lebanon hostilities, he was under pressure from the Syrian population to go to war against Israel and liberate the Golan is the most direct threat of belligerency of all his four Golan statements in the last month.

    The fact that the BBC is making understatements about the cruelty and opression of the socialist/communist government in the Soviet Union comes as no surprise.
    In fact, I predict that they will be saying wonderful things about Russia (and possibly the Soviet Union) in the future.
    Why?? Take a look at this:
    Russia has been selling guns to Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, it was trying to help Egypt develop its nuclear powerplants, and it was also helping other countries to develop nuclear powerplants.
    And just recently it extended 350 million dollars in credit to cuban dictator Castro.
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060928/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/cuba_russia_2
    hmmm sure Russia has changed, but it is still siding with its old Cold War allies (Cuba and now wanabe socialist Hugo Chavez in Venezuela)

    The BBC, smoke and mirrors;

    Pakistan condemns Korea nuke test

    Pakistan has criticised North Korea’s nuclear test, saying it was a “destabilising” development for the entire region.
    Pakistan’s disgraced nuclear scientist AQ Khan admitted in 2004 that he had passed on nuclear secrets to North Korea, Libya and Iran.
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/6032843.stm

    and how does the BBC allow Pakistan to explain their own nuclear tests in 1998;
    “Ms Aslam has also defended Pakistan’s own nuclear record. “Pakistan did not initiate nuclear tests in the region. We were acting purely in self-defence,” she said.
    Yup Pakistan lit the blue touch paper a couple of weeks after India did in 1998. (Granted I’ll accept that India first set off the bomb in 1974) But to give the people who would rather build weapons than build roads, house people and feed those people. The right to condemn North Korea. (Err BBC you admit Pakistan helped NK) would be akin to asking a Terrorist to speak out against a terrorist outrage;
    Silly me the BBC already has

    This is the kind of article that makes me throw up in the direction of media “reporters”
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/from_our_own_correspondent/5361526.stm
    The article begins commenting on cuban dictator Castro’s “humoristic side.” It adds a little pinch of praise to Raul Castro, another murderer and thief. Although it mentions the words “regime” and “fear,” it does not mention the political prisioners in Cuba, the firing squads, or the acts of repudiation led by the government towards dissidents, nor the violation of human rights in Cuba. Yet still, it dares say that Raul Castro, an assasin just like his brother, can “handle the transition.”
    What transition??? Raul has COMPLETE CONTROL of the armed forces, he is NOT going to allow any transition in Cuba. Has the BBC seen any change in how the regime treats cubans? Have there been free elections or has the regime released the political prisioners??? NO NO and NO, so where is the transition BBC???
    And to top it all, criticism to Washington about the embargo, without mentioning the fact that it was the US who sponsored the Freedom Flights in the 60s where many cubans were able to escape the dictatorship, and it is the US who gives asylum to refugees from Cuba.
    In the last comment the BBC says “But no that would be to much to expect” referring to the US, yet they don’t say that to the Cuban dictator who has imposed himself in the island for almost 50 years.
    NO NO, that would be TOO much to expect from the BBC.

    After reading an article on ‘Comment is Free’ over at the Guardian that lays all blame for poor community relations at the door of ‘evil whitey’, I finally got around to totalling up the results of Channel 4’s Muslim survey. Here are some key results:

    49% to not believe that there are any Immans that preach hate in the UK (Abu Hamza anybody?)
    44% would prefer to send their children to a Muslim school, than a local state school that gets better exam results (perhaps a reason for the poverty and unemployment?)

    18% would withdraw their daughters from school, if they weren’t allowed to wear the Hijab.

    9% believe it is acceptable to use violence for political ends
    12% understand why some British Muslims want to carry out suicide operations in the UK
    21% do not think that Immans that speak in support of terrorism should be removed from the country.
    80% think that the people that published the cartoons of Mohammed should be punished.
    36% do not think that the UK protests against the cartoons went too far.
    63% do not think the British people should be free to say whatever they want, if it offends religious groups.
    2.5% do not believe the Holocaust happened (16% think it was exaggerated)
    45% believe that 911 was an Israeli/US conspiracy!
    24% think that the 7/7 bombings were justifiable.
    37% think Diana was killed to stop her marrying a Muslim.
    27% respect Abu Hamza
    22% respect Saddam
    29% think that British society does not respect women

    Another method used to transfer wealth from Europeans to Eurabian Muslims is theft. Some radical Mullahs have told their European congregations that Islamic Shari’a law justifies shoplifting and other forms of stealing from European merchants and companies as a way to make non-Muslims pay the discriminatory jizya tax that is extracted from non-Muslim citizens in Muslim countries.

    My emphasis added.

    So that’s why they wear a burkah (to conceal the goods) and the veil (because of CCTV cameras).

    The government hasn’t allowed certain parts of Britain to be governed by sharia law. I think it was earlier this year that an uppity imam in the northern town of Bradford made the demand. I suspect he was just trying to make a name for himself amongst the exploding community.

    In any case not even Parliament, let alone any government could do that. In our constitutional monarchy, all belongs to Her Maj the Queen and even Parliament is subservient to her. Bloody right too.

    The Bindi dot worn on the forehead of Hindu women is compulsory after she has begun menstruating.

    Except for a widow, whose husband and lord has died. But she is then also regarded as a non-person to be shunned.

    So any woman who does not wear a Bindi dot puts a curse, the evil eye, on whoever she sees at that time, for she is as a widow, a walking ghost, the living dead.

    Hinduism promotes healthy self-esteem for women.
