doesn’t mention the devastating article in yesterday’s Mail on Sunday quoting Dame Pauline Neville-Jones, a former BBC Governor, speaking about the BBC. I am sure this is just a simple oversight, so, ever helpful, I’ve sent them an ‘e-mail’ (as they put it) using the form on the BBC Editors Blog page:
Hello, I see from your BBC In The News section today that you’ve omitted the Mail on Sunday article quoting Dame Pauline Neville-Jones. Why is that? Surely the comments of a former BBC Governor speaking about the BBC count as BBC In The News?
Thank you, Andrew.
P.S. Let me know if you need the URL, or you can get it from the Biased BBC blog.
See this Biased BBC post from Saturday night for more details.
maybe cos it was a weekend story. They’ve got nothing from the weekend, or maybe they’re hoping no-one will notice

I sent a very similar mail on the same story via exactly the same route on Saturday. No repsonse and no link to the story. Why am I surprised? I should have learned by now.

It’s a frustrating exercise trying to get an e-mail acknowledged or a comment posted on The Editors blog – especially since it appears to shut down between Friday and Tuesday. I sent them an e-mail yesterday complaining about their apparent (very) long weekends but, par for the course, got no response. And I see that my comment on Jane Garvey, sent yesterday morning, has either been rejected or has got lost in the system.
One wonders why they bother to invite people to e-mail them if they can’t even grant them the basic courtesy of an automated response, since they are evidently unwilling to respond in person. Maybe 3,5 billion pounds a year is not enough to organise it.
