‘Cranmer’:
‘ What the BBC did not want you to see’
[Extract]
“This is footage [video clip] of London’s recent ‘March for Gaza’ or ‘Freedom for Palestine’. Cranmer had been left with the distinct impression that this was a contained and relaxed affair, with nothing more untoward than a little sedate shoe-throwing at Downing Street.
“It is when one views this angry mob – with their distinct cries of ‘Allahu Akhbar’ as they attack members of Her Majesty’s police force – that one is left with the distinct impression that there is a media conspiracy to convey that all is well; that the peace and security of the United Kingdom is not imperiled; that Islam does indeed mean ‘peace’.
“And it is also not until one views such footage that one understands the full implications of Lord Ahmed’s threat to call upon 10,000 Muslims to protest around Parliament in order to intimidate and harass the guardian of our liberties into compliance with his demands.
“Why do we tolerate this intolerance?
…”But Cranmer cannot help wondering how the BBC would have handled this story had the violent mob consisted of protesting Jews or white Christian-looking types.”

The BBC is disinclined to link the strikes by British workers to the long and continuing Labour commitment to stealth Mass Immigration to Britain, despite Brown’s empty words: ‘British jobs for British workers’.
Of course, free movement of labour is integral to E.U. supra-national system, so BBC is uncritical of this.

STRIKES.
‘EU Referendum’:
-points out, (but the BBC is reluctant to do), the harsh reality of the E.U. rules which indicate what British workers are up against:

-Better keep this one quiet, BBC, for sake of Labour government and its presumed Muslim vote, regardless of moral, and historical issues:
‘Spectator’:
James Forsyth

The best solution to the UK financial crisis would be to nationalise the banks then sale them all off to foreign banks, then give any profits from that back to the taxpayer.
We certainly need to go back to being a manufacturing economy. The financial sector is dead we should look at ways to sell it off.
As for Obama, many of the Republicans are hypocrites; why didn’t they call for Bernanke and Paulson’s heads to roll? Why did they allow the “Welfare for Goldman Sachs” TARP?

Just to say this was a good blog to read. Many hilarious and well put comments. Usually I read the Sunday papers but I ended up reading this blog instead.
Now, whenever I see Paxman, I will recall the phrase:
Paxman – eyes wide open in that ludicrous “indignation” trademark pose – Dr Michael Jones 10:18
– and just laugh at his expression.
Maybe he borrows the make-up lady’s mirror and has a quick practice before he goes on live.
