LEAVING ON A JET PLANE
And so, as the sleet falls outside, I pack my sun tan lotion and head off for a short break to warmer climes. I’ll be back in a week’s time but hope that my fellow B-BBC writers will continue to provide you with plenty of meaty material to chew over between now and then. What with the final countdown to the US election and the hysterical Justin Webb now indistinguishable from the Obama-crew, and Gordon Brown being held up as the only man who can save our economic necks, and Wossy and Brand indulging in pranks that distress 78 year olds, has the BBC’s stock ever been higher? I have been enjoying the posts here and hope you have also. Trust this finds you all well and I will speak to you again next week.
Ian Collins on TalkSport radio now (10am Tues) giving a very interesting insider’s view of the BBC self-maintaining, self-protecting elite (he isn’t an employee but has worked for it and knows many who do). Basically saying the way the BBC works will not allow it to act effectively when soemthing like the Brand/Ross issue blows up.

Ian Collins is talking about the Ross/Brand issue on TalkSport now (10 am Tues) Very interesting insights into how the BBC works and will never change (he has worked for them from time to time and knows many who do). Good analysis of the self-referential- self contained, emperor’s new clothes promoting media elite who run the BBC, and how they are almost incapable of change.

When it God’s name is that manmade (sic) global warming going to kick in.
The one the BBC keeps shrieking about!

speedy — well TALKSPORT can talk.
They imported a new Programme Director from the BBC.
The first thing the Institutionally Leftist trained beeboid did was sack James Whale on some bogus excuse.

“The first thing the Institutionally Leftist trained beeboid did was sack James Whale on some bogus excuse.”
It was hardly a “bogus excuse”, the pillock broke Ofcom rules on political impartiality. If he had kept his gob shut long enough to learn from his new Programme Director he’d have learned how to be hugely politically biased without overtly declaring an allegience…

Media’s Presidential Bias and Decline
The media have covered this presidential campaign with a bias and that ultimately could lead to its downfall.

What public service does Russell Brand’s show perform?
Brand and Ross were providing precisely the kind of lowest common-denominator humour that advocates of the licence fee tell us would dominate the airwaves without public subsidy

Lurka,
You reckon that article has something to do with “The One” ™ not “rewarding” ABC with his half our special?

Christ Vance, how many holidays a year do you take? This is like, what, your fourth one or something?
God, what I’d give to be middle class. It’s like one giant departure lounge.

No he didn’t.
Though if you would like to convince me, perhaps you will show me the ruling which OFCOM adjudicated to the alleged rule Whale allegedly broke.
A hyperlink link to the website with the ruling from OFCOM would be useful.

A breach of 6.8 here looks pretty cut and dried.

As you know, Talksport, clearly not having the arrogance or lack of PR skills of the Beeb, didn’t hang around for an adjudication, they just sacked the daft twat.

I didn’t ask you for your OPINION on what OFCOM may adjudicate. I don’t give a flying eff at how your brain doesn’t work
I asked you to show me where OFCOM found James Whale had breached it’s so-called rules on fairness.
You can’t, because they didn’t. Because the leftist ex-BBC shill who runs Talksport FIRED Whale the day after.
Even OFCOM said it was surprised Talksport took this action.
So back to my original point. Whale was fired on a bogus excuse.

I do’t really care what you asked, was repudiating your moronic view that the decision was “bogus” by pointed out that the bloke was unquestionably in contravention of the rules unless expressedly backing a candidate isn’t showing “bias”.
In those circumstances he didn’t give his bosses much choice – no doubt this was deliberate to bolster his self pity cred amongst the “sod the thought process, let’s be as right wing as possible at all times” fan club, but THAT is just by opinion.

Kill the Beeb,
It´s the first week I have taken this year. Oh to be parasite class. Oh, and I have not reached god status yetso the Christ is premature.
Meanwhile Brand down, Ross dodgy, Thompson next. How about a mass boycott of the License fee until Wossy goes…

I hope you are not off ski-ing David. That has to be the scourge of the media class you know.
By the way, I’ve already boycott the licence fee, and it seems that any encouragement of others to to do so on this site is met with a wall of contempt.
