UNWRA goes on the offensive against Israel, and describes what it terms “an attack” on a Gazan school as a “war crime”. The it phones Jeremy Bowen, and the idea is now being propagated that Israel must be tried for war crimes. What sickens me is that the BBC must know that Hamas are committing war crimes on a daily basis and not ONE of their intrepid reporters has thought of asking their pals in UNWRA if using women, children, hospitals and schools as shields is a war crime? In the BBC campaign against Israel, Hamas are never guilty and Israel is never innocent.

Your Dad may have met my Uncle (by marriage)…
He was also one of Moseley’s black shirts…

In that case, if they met in Ridley Road he may well be the one my father stood trial at Hackney Magistrates Court for assaulting (fined and suspended sentence), or the one my uncle, dad’s brother and army welterweight boxing champion, knocked out cold.
Loved the dipstick story 😉

I’m going to repeat my post at Sheik Y in response to this, ‘cos I’m not convinced:
I wished you hadn’t repeated it here, it’s called spam.
Hmmm… I’m not known for being what you’d call down with al-Beeb OR Islam, but I don’t think this story necessarily proves Jihad Johnston is actually a carpet muncher.
Have the possibilities that:
a) They decided to make an ‘exceptional’ award to a non-Muslim? His name would raise their profile and it would also make them look more ‘inclusive’ to the stupid kuffar (see also: Taqiyya & Samosas at your local mosque)
So why didn’t they say so?
If their reasoning was as you suggest why didn’t they actually say something along the lines of, “we have made an exception to our Muslims only rule and made this award to Alan Johnston because he lies as well as we do and supports all our causes, even though he’s a prize prat and a kuffar to boot”
Eh?
b) Al-Johnston got a bout of Stockholm ‘flu and converted when he got home, a la Yvonne al-Ridley
..been excluded?

In which case he is a Muslim. Once you’ve converted you can’t go back on it. Not that Yvonne Ridley shows any signs of wanting to.
No, sorry, bo cigar. The BBC have a history of ambiguity and obfuscation concerning their correspondents’ religious affiliations.
Frank Gardner admitted to carrying a pocket sized Koran with him in Syria and Saudi Arabia. He said it was in order to give it as a gift to people he was in contact with. Surely a kuffar handling a Koran is considered to be sacrilegious?
Gardner also said himself that when he was lying on the ground after being shot he pleaded with his attackers not to kill him, yelling out in Arabic that he was a Muslim.
So, was he lying to them when he said he was a Muslim, or is he lying to us when he says he isn’t?
Tough call.
Just for fun try googling to see if there are convincing facts to support the claim that Prince Charles has converted.
