The BBC clearly wasted 550,000 pounds if even its most trenchant supporters failed to notice its rebranding last year as BBC News Channel.
Given it has had millions spent on rebrands as well as millions spent on it full stop, but still has pitiful viewing figures compared to BBC1 or even BBC2 (even when they are grossly cheatingly inflated by simulbroadcasting) then it represents the worst value of all, even worse than BBC3 or BBC4.
The licence fee must go.
