An addendum for recent BBC TV series, ‘Science and Islam’:
‘The First Post’
“Islam and the Art of Aircraft Maintenence” (by Claire Berlinski)-
3-page article on Turkish Airlines –
[Extract]:
“In the wake of the crash, a source at Turkish Airlines – someone who has nothing to gain by noting this publicly and, in fact, everything to lose – claimed that airplanes requiring pre-flight inspection go shortchanged if they are on the ground in the mornings at prayer time.
“And in December, 2006, it was widely reported that Turkish Airlines workers had sacrificed a camel on an Istanbul airport ramp as a gesture of thanks for having at last got rid of a batch of troublesome planes.”

It seems that the BBC will not expose Choudary (12:15 am above), and has reported little on him in the last few years, but here’s ‘Jihadwatch’s piece on him today:

Cheap drink – whatever the pros and cons, I think you’ll find that our local(ie Westminster)government has forgotten that our laws are now made by the EU, and I suspect that they’ll say forget it. Which is what our so-called MPs and even al-beeb will do when they realise it.

I too watched the DDR documentary, and detected a somewhat hazy approach to it. After displaying footage of tortured dissidents, separated families, hermaphrodite atheletes and frankly third-world living standards, the final ten minutes consisted of a bunch of nostalgic hippies showing dubious home porn and lamenting the lost days of socialisto paradiso. Hardly the typical view of ex- DDR citizens, I’d imagine.
What really frightened me was the genuine sense of eerie familiarity with certain aspects of DDR life- the constant surveillance, control of media, indoctrination of children, hostility to native Christian beliefs. Makes one realise that the left really are control-freaks…

Red Nose day / Comic relief are really beyond belief or parody…as has been said before: “The poor of the UK giving to the rich of Africa”.
Gordon thanks Red Nose for their efforts in raising £50m – why isn’t the government paying for those poor bastards who have to care for an ill / disabled parent?
And the sheer brassneck / hypocrisy of the Gavin & Stacey actors insisting that they should be flown to Las Vegas with a full BBC crew and entourage to record their wonderful rednose record which appears to have
sold very few copies…but hey it’s all for charity so that’s OK.
Just think: the £50m red nose day raised is about 1.5% of the BBC’s annual budget….just think how much the BBC could give if they pruned some of their myriad multilingual websites and other wasteful programmes…..

Captain Cook was a Royal Navy hero – and a childhood hero of mine. One of the greatest navigators in history. I am glad I missed the BBC programme.

This is why the BBC don’t like him. He was male, English and a hero.

Jon – the impression I got from timewatch was that the good Capt Cook was an imperialist nutcase who had lost the plot and who commited a crime by claiming a whole continent for the British Empire !shock horror probe!. I then went on to the Bonny and Clyde edition of timewatch and discovered that poor Clyde was a victim of the evil and brutal U.S prison system. ffs

The BBC’s obscene crowing over Red Nose day continues…and meanwhile one of the best facts to emerge (via the Daily Mail) is that 120 porters, yes 120, accompanied the nine “celebrities” who climbed Kilimanjaro. I too, have ventured there. The standard guided party has three porters to one climber – and even that ratio takes all the real effort out of the climb because they carry everything you need.
I’m surprised that Horrorbin wasn’t there to enforce BBC CO2 emissions policies – all that effort must surely have exceeded EU regulations and put the planet further in danger.

I’m as cynical of the BBC as the next man but I have to say the Lost Communism programme was quite good. There was a lot of the really nasty stuff, there was a lot of those rally images that were rightly compared to the Hitler Youth and were reminiscent of the Nuremberg rallies. Kids entering school under the banner ‘learning makes you free’ like the perverted phrase over the concentration camps. To me that helps show to people the shared left wing ancestry of National Socialism (Nazis) and Soviet Communism. I mean it’s patently obvious to me without reading political philosophy books. And I wasn’t too upset about the people who said they like parts of the GDR because some were fully signed up members of the regime and as such received favours while their fellow citizens were trampled under the boot of communism. All those people simply remind of the phrase ‘Hitler was kind to dogs’ or the fact that many senior Nazis were vegetarians as if that made up for everything else. It could have been a lot worse knowing the BBC.

1 red nose day
If red nose day is so wonderful why do they still need to raise money 29 years after the first one.
Is it because there will always be left wing ‘comedians’ that need the publicity.
£50000000 If we make the generous assumption that 80% of money sent to Africa gets past the corrupt politicians that leaves £10000000. I make that about one tenth of one penny for each African.
2 the big question.
If I had four wives I would get punished by going to jail.
I Muslim with 4 wives would get rewarded by getting extra benefits at the taxpayers expense.
No society that does not have the same laws for everybody can be a fair society.

Ron Todd,
The only fair way, without discriminating ,is to give us all allowances for four wives, whether we are married or not.Since the word wife is discriminatory, the allowance should be for partners. Thus the Trade Secretary could claim for four Brazilians.
I’m sure the BBC would approve.

But I’m confused, the BBC manage to write the whole article without referring to the fact that gay sex already carries the death penalty in the 12 sharia muslim regions of Nigeria.
Utterly outrageous.

LUTON (and that town’s events which the BBC reported with dhimmitude and little prominence last week).
Peter Hitchens provides some clues to explain the Luton events here:
‘Mail on Sunday’ –
“What do we expect if we treat our own nation with such contempt?”
[Extract]:
“Those who were rightly angered at the ill-mannered and contemptuous display in Luton • the scowling menfolk and their sullen, shrouded women • should aim their anger not at these misguided individuals but at the liberal Left which has brought us to this point.” (Peter Hitchens).

This could be the most devastating blow to our freedom yet. Have the BBC mentioned it? It certainly wasn’t mentioned on Andrew Marr today which was another saving brown exercise. This is a move into communist-like control. Why for all citizens leaving? Surely it should be for visitors entering UK, and citizens suspected of crimes. Is it for security or is it for tax purposes? Will it lead to us all having to pay a carbon tax based on our travel? These are few questions the BBC could ask.

Archduke and others, on the subject of China and the Chinese.
Please read carefully, and try your best to fully understand the mind blowing implications.
We live in a globalist economy. This is not a future concept, it is very much here and now.
Therefore China and The Chinese are as much if not more, working in the same economic environment/slave ship at we all are.
It is estimated that 70% of all manufactured goods are now completely constructed in China. Of the rest only a proportion can still be made without vital Chinese parts.
The people who control the supply of manufactured products and the price of same, control you, your government and your economy.
It matter not much whether a so called Chinese conglomerate is running Africa or an Anglo-American-European one. Especially as it WILL be a Anglo-American-European conglomerate that ultimately controls the apparently Chinese one anyway. This through the international banking system, or even more directly, by large share holdings.
We are not in competition with China, ‘we’ are simply led/brainwashed by the BBC/MSM to believe ‘we’ are. In reality China and The USSR (modern day Russia )are now and always have been allies to exactly the same SYSTEM that we all are. ( You may remember that China and The USSR where our ALLIES during WW2, not our enemies? AD rightly described this as THE Zionist/Communist conspiracy.)
The system loves SLAVES. It cares not one bit whether its slaves have yellow, black or white faces, as long as they do and/or die, as they are told to.
The free market only exists for us at the bottom. It has never existed for long at anywhere near the top.
Monopoly is the game the elites play. A murderous game of MONOPOLY where the same people always own and control the bank and constantly make up all of the rules as they go along.
Therefore it gos without saying, that EXACTLY the same people always WIN, and exactly the same types of people always loose.

deegee: climate change denial and mental illness.
This is entirely mirrored by the leftist political psychologists of the 60’s and 70’s who decided that people who describe themselves as conservative possess the ‘factors’ that lead to fascism. These psychologists believed that they could build the perfect society through their knowledge but needed the big state lefty socialists to impose it. I can make up nonsense hypothesis as well but you only have good theory when it is tested against reality. Mussolini, Franco (and Hitler) did not rise to power through the support of conservatives but through the support of the communist and socialist left. It’s an old tactic by the leftists to have their psychologist mates declare any opinions contrary to theirs as mentally unstable and insane.

How exactly is the ‘Islamization of Britain’ taking place? I agree that the protests in Luton are an outrage, but to claim Britain is become ‘islamized’, and therefore linking Islam to terrorism, is a wild claim and one made without validity in my view.

“And I wasn’t too upset about the people who said they like parts of the GDR because some were fully signed up members of the regime and as such received favours while their fellow citizens were trampled under the boot of communism”.
Doug – a good point – the corollary of which was that control was easy to carry out because these immense privileges could be removed instantly by petty party apparacheks.
What I loved about the programme was the brief summation – the narrator without a hint of irony saying that ‘some people miss the GDR and enjoyed their life with it’s generous benefits and pensions’ I’m sure that for many this is true – but a) in a globalised world economy this was never going to be permanently economically viable & b) the hilarious bit was apart from the hippie couple and what would now be called a ‘sex worker’ (reserved for senior party members of course), the other witnesses featured who missed the old days were those who used their creative talents to promote the party line to their fellow citizens in TV, radio, music, etc.
Mmm… surveillance society, broadcasters promoting the party line, generous pensions…lucky we live in a democracy! (oops! forgot what ‘GDR’ stood for)

The pathological link in all this nonsense is the meme “my enemies enemy is my friend”. He isn’t, you are. Richard Reid shoe-bomber – convert. Liquid bombers on trial – idiot English twat with double-barrelled English surname : convert. Clive Stafford Smith lawyer/ventriloquist of Binyam – wants the Koran on his desert island, spent 25 years representing murderer blacks on death row: a lot of muslim converts, no doubt. It goes on endlessly – the “convert” zealot is the most dangerous, because he’s basically unhinged, jumps from belief to belief. Trotskyite, animal rights, climate change, green-bollox, Islam – all the same – mental illness thriving on the change to the next bunch of nonsense.

If you think global warming gave the media a lot of room for planetary fear stories, just wait till you see all the really catastrophic climate change stories to come.
Who needs warming?
How about … the oceans are turning acid and killing all the little carbonaceous critters?
Yesterday, Nature magazine proclaimed that the oceans are turning acid and reducing the calcium in Pacific Ocean marine carbonate organisms. But skeptics will note that this study suffers from a huge sampling error.
There is no way to cover an enormous ocean region with vast underwater mountain ranges and make generalizations about the acidity and the actual population of all carbonate organisms in that enormous volume of sea water. So it’s just another scare study that is grossly overgeneralized. Sounds like the good old “global warming,” right? But it did get published in the oldest and one of the most highly respected scientific journals in the world.

There was a very good and balanced look on breakfast news this morning at the improving situation in Iraq and Iraqi’s optimism. Unfortunately this seems to be less important for the Beeb than the fact that Brits still want an enquiry.

There was also a piece in the Sun this morning over the last Question Time from sunny Toxteth. Apparently in the warm up the mention of Mrs T was met with “30 seconds of sustained pantomime booing and jeering”. Which is probably a good reflection of the views of Toxteth but I can’t remember the last time a QT audience in Surrey was allowed to roundly abuse (say) the miners or an Islamic fundamentalist in such a way. Do they make more effort to acghieve “balance” in a solid middle class affluence area?
