“no its not ok for the BBC to ignore the story, but have you considered that these papers are biased?
are there some elements of bias in the beeb? yeah. are there elements of bias in these papers too? yeah. or more accurately, its called ‘agenda’.

Excellent point Gus.
So I won’t buy the Telegraph and Mail, then I’m not paying for the bias.
So now I won’t pay my licence fee, then I’m not paying for the bias.
Oh hang on there’s a demand for payment for the licence fee saying I will be draconially fined and get a criminal record and jailed if I don’t pay the fine.
Looks like your argument didn’t stand the test Gus
Or are you of the opinion the licence fee should be a voluntary subscription instead?

Yes, good point.
Though like I said Roman emperors came from all over, Spain, Croatia, Syria, Arabia, Libya, England, Turkey, etc. Not just Rome. Not just Roman ‘blood’.
And they were quite prepared to enslave or abuse any colour or nation.
That’s the true ‘multicultural’ story of Rome.
And I will say it again, Cleopatra was thought in the past to be solely from Macedonian/Greek stock, there was no racism in painting her as European.
In fact she was of some degree of mixed race, that too has been known for some time now, its not new.
She was not black, well, not in the usual understanding of the term, only the BBC seem to be suggesting she was.

BBC – last with the news – or NEVER with the news.
The BBC almost never reports negative stories about their President Obamessiah. But they do have an Obama Diary, staffed by no fewer than eight Beeboids, chronicling everything except the errors in the First 100 Days of the Obamessianic Age. Any missteps they dare mention across the BBC spectrum are either success disguised, or someone else’s fault.
I’m sure defenders of the indefensible will say that there’s no bias in creating an entire section dedicated to highlighting how the new Presidential Administration is different from the last one. I’m also sure they’ll say there’s no racism in creating an entire section dedicated to highlighting how the new President is governing differently ‘cos he is black.
