Don’t know if you are a rugby fan but if you do share my enthusiasm for the game you may well be tuning in later today when the final chapter of the 6 Nations is played out. The climax is the game between Wales and Ireland at the excellent Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. So, how does the BBC cover this? Simple; they drag on some feminazi who finds the singing by the crowd of the well known song “Delilah” ….”sinister.” It seems the lyrics could encourage male violence. Oh my goodness, WHY do we have to pay for this? In what world is this a major story – it was on at prime-time 8.20am. Is there NOTHING else the BBC could have covered? It’s uber leftie politically correct feminazi drivel and I hope the crowd will belt out the words of the song and that the game is a great spectacle for all who watch it. I’m sure some Beeboid will be wondering why there are no women playing in either team!

The BBC is pretty much held in contempt by the educated Africans I spoke to and, in any case, there are much superior African channels available by satellite, my favourite being MBC 3.
I was delighted to see that the decline of the BBC is recognised by, at least some, foreigners.

DV needs an ‘angle’. The site has become like 24 hour news. There MUST be some story updates every day or so, even if that story is meaningless or spurious, in the same way that 24 hour news covers ‘news’ just to pass the time. It justifys their existence. If people really think the story is ‘news’ then it makes the concept of rolling news seem, well, newsworthy. Same for this site. There must be a bias update daily, or twice daily, regardless of whether it really presents any bias or not. It’s necessary to justify the continuation of the site. Necessary for DV, Sue, other contributors to continue to feel that their work here is worthwhile.

The REASON why there are daily updates is because there are daily, hourly instances of bias. Quite how they impact is a different matter but I call it like I see it and it is up to B-BBC readers to respond. On this occasion, I found the idea that the Wwelsh singing “Delilah” as being “sinister” – bizarre and it was given an absolutely prime time slot. So go figure.

I`m sure if we listened to BBC radio and watched BBC television and monitored BBC webs for 24 hours 7 days a week we would need an update every hour about their bias. As it is, time is precious and life so short so only the highlights get mentioned.
Yeah,I watched the rugby, all three matches. I heard ‘Jerusalem’, ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ and some Anglican hymn which I’ve forgotten being sung by the crowds. Add this to the tens of thousands of people displaying their patriotism and you’ve got some unhapy Beeboids.
Still, they did a good job of televising it. This was the first time I’ve watched anything on the BBC for more than 5 minutes before turning off in disgust for a very long time.
Congratulations to the Irish, and too England and France for winning their respective matches.
The idea of mwl feeling a need to contact a website while in a beer garden on a gloriously sunny spring day strikes me as weird.
People who do that sort of thing really ought to get a life. Find some friends, try to get help from the family. Or the doctor.

Why would ‘Delilah’ encourage violence? Especially at rugby matches. Off-pitch violence is almost unheard of in rugby, in spite of the Biblical quantities of beer that get consumed.

Today’s win shows the power and potential of a united Ireland.
One of the loudest ovations of the day at Twickenham was given to the 7th Armoured Brigade (The Desert Rats) as they did a half-time lap of honour.
Prior to the game, 30 of them had been awarded medals by the Princess Royal. Regardless of one’s views of the war in Afghanistan, it was a moving occasion and greatly appreciated by the 80,000-strong crowd.
I hope this featured in the BBC’s coverage and wasn’t air-brushed out lest it ’caused offence’.
