You have to hand it to the BBC, they really are doing their best for Gordon Brown. Today they are providing much publicity to the claims by an economist called David Miles, soon to be a member of the totally independent MPC! More green shoots of recovery – recession bottoming out – nothing to see, move along, Vote Labour. You get the drift.
I CAN SEE FOR MILES!

What they will not want to tell us.
In the US General Growth Properties has just filed for Bankruptcy protection.
They owe 18 billion.
The second largest mall owners in the US.
This is the biggest real estate bankruptcy in US history.
When the commercial meltdown happens here they will need to take all the money we have left to prop up the banks etc.
Or I suppose either confiscate our money or print it.

Don’t forget that Vince Cable is the Sage of the Credit Crunch.
The BBC has him up against Ayn Rand. No fair guessing which one comes out looking better.

The drug taking twats at the BBC might fall for this crap, but the 3 million+ unemployed won’t nor those that have lost their homes.

We used to have a saying when I was at university:
“Grow your own dope. Plant an economist.” 🙂

To be fair, depends what he’s talking about. The banking crisis is pulling through thanks to the endless bucket loads of cash/taxpayer debt chucked at it.
The ‘real’ economy (as if all the multiple hundred thousand employed by the banks are somehow fiction), that’s not looking so great right now.
