SUNDAY AFTERNOON….

Operation Save Gordon is in full throttle today and nowhere is this more evident than on the BBC. I refer you to the main news portal which leads with Postie Johnson declaring of Gordo that “… he is ” better than me or anyone else” as prime minister.” Well, certainly better for the Tories! However if you scan down the stories under Postie’s declaration of undying loyalty to Brown, look at the other BBC headlines. “Blears denies criticism of Brown”,Clarke in smears row action call” and “Prescott rounds on Brown’s critics”. Notice the slant? Not just biased – outrageously biased.

“Gordon Brown is better then me.” said Alan Johnson.

What an admittance. If I had to say that I’d go home and immediately slash my wrists.

Just to add to Gigits’ comment

Health Secretary Alan Johnson has defended Gordon Brown’s leadership, saying he is “better than me or anyone else” as prime minister.

BBC views web site faithfully published the state propaganda ministry statement (aka the “there are no tanks in Baghdad” gambit)

or anyone else? Or anyone else!

    a) What are the odds that he will be ‘forced to throw his hat into the ring’ in the near future
    b) If that is true, then the Labour party is truly ***ked and they must know it
    c) What stones had to be up-turned to find some one willing to lie so blatantly?

There have been Conservatives on today’s BBC – Ken Clarke, Liam Fox and Dan Hannan have all been interrogated, held to account, and generally treated to hardball quizzing as if they were in power. Labour, meanwhile, have been given all the softball interviews and opportunities to make excuses for Gordon ad nauseam. They of course are never held responsible for anything. When in doubt at the BBC, the rule is to blame a Tory.

BBC News 24, 11.05 Jerky Jonathan Charles reads out a selection of the large number of e-mails he says the channel has received on the Hazel Blears story.
Surprise, surprise, of the five he reads out, two say what most of the country thinks – ie. that Brown and his gang are useless – whilst three support the Supreme Leader. One says that Brown is great & what are you complaining about, another says that Cameron is, to say the least, no better than Brown & a third says that if people think they can run the country better than Brown, why don't they give it a go? (What a moron!!)
So of the chosen selection of e-mails that's 2 against Brown and 3 for Brown. How likely is that? Do the BBC think we're stupid?
I'd bet the true figure was nearer 200 against, 5 for.
    Liars, liars, liars!!

Anyone care to speculate why it is that the prima facie evidence that Barroness Uddin has committed fraud – as exposed on the front page of today's Sunday Times – has been completely ignored by Aunty?

A bit late, but could the reason be:
    (a) because the BBC are being chivalrous, & not wishing to be ungentlemanly towards a lady?
    (If only!!!)
    (b) because she's a Liebour peer?
    (That's more like it)
    (c) because she's a Muslim peer?
    (That's even more like it)

From that Sky report the Baroness's son/spokesman tells us of her support & charitable work, both for her own community & the wider community.

Would a white politician get away with differentiating between groups of citizens, treating some a not belonging to him/her?

Talking of tumbleweed, Sky also put Charles Clarke’s calls for the sacking of all ministers associated with the smear e-mails (e.g. Ed Ballocks) near the top of their bulletins earlier in the day. They also ran it across the bottom of our TV screens too (whatever the technical term for that is!). Not so the BBC.

There's another interesting story in the papers today that I haven't seen mentioned on any of today's BBC news programmes – for obvious reasons.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1176735/Revealed-How-Gordon-Brown-threw-tantrum-TV-interview–soothed-Lord-Mandelson.html

Gord'elpus Brown had a major hissy-fit in front of the media (needing Mandy to soothe his furrowed brow). Whose challenging questions so annoyed our great leader? Lucy Manning of ITN & Gary Gibbon of Channel 4 News. Not,you will not be surprised to hear, the Beeb's own Nick Robinson. He WAS there though. I've checked and note that Nick hasn't got round to putting this story on his Newslog yet. It's the weekend I suppose. So hopefully we can look forward to all the juicy details later this week – as if!!!
    Mr Robinson, get some balls!

The BBC haven’t taken up this story either..”MP CLAIMED Ā£10,000 MORE ON EXPENSES THAN HE PAID IN RENT”

    http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/98623/MP-claimed-10-000-more-on-expenses-than-he-paid

Now given the BBC’s zero coverage, can you guess why party the MP belongs to..?

Well it’s James Purnell, the minister responsible for benefit fraud. Clearly, no story here šŸ™‚

It amazes me that ZanuLab get so much free air time. Harman gets TEN MINUTES or more on this morning’s 8 a.m. news to defend ZanuLab’s situation. She tries to defend an indefensible position with a delightful whine in her voice (mortally offended that anyone should question he integrity – type of whine).

The questioning is “hostile” but does really go to the heart of things e.g. “why does Gordon use unprincipled attack dogs and not take responsibility?”, “Given that the basis of the budget has been so fundamentally undermined by official figures released since 24 April – how can you call it ‘honest’?” etc etc.

Why was the Tory view not sought? Aren’t we in the period prior to an election when each party gets a balanced exposure?

Yes the questioning was indeed very hostile. Quite how the BBC’s blanket coverage of the Government’s travails is aimed at helping “save Brown” is beyond me. Bias in news coverage is primarily about agenda setting. If the BBC was desperate to “save Brown” it would bury the coverage, not lead pretty much every news item with it over the last couple of days. The impression is of a Government in freefall. The Conservatives will be very happy with it indeed, and happy to take a back seat.

The BBC follows very slowly what other media outlets say.

Where is the BBC reporting of MORE Liebour expense sleaze?

The BBC have been bigging up McSnot and playing down Gordon’s bad week.

Did you miss Prick Robinson claiming that the votes on MP expenses in the Commons was a victory for Brown? Are you seriously telling me the BBC are not being one sided when the rest of the media were saying it was a humiliation for the Scottish snot eater?

Why was it that McSnot lost his temper with ITV and Channel 4 news but NOT Prick Robinson? Why might that be?
