    interesting lengthy article on Debka

    Netanyahu heads for collision with Obama administrationOne quote immediately stands out:

    “DEBKAfile’s Washington sources report that their host is fired up to be the first US president in decades of close friendship and cooperation to clash openly with Israel

    Barry really doesnt have a clue , does he?

    and there's more in that debka article..

    "Netanyahu and Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak have arranged to put their heads together and are meeting before their separate trips to Washington."

    and

    "The Israeli prime minister will also take advantage of the interests Jerusalem shares with Cairo and Riyadh in frustrating the new Washington orientation"

    and

    "Peres, whose rich diplomatic experience and international reputation make him a prime asset, has been pressed into service to become the first Israeli president to step out of his ceremonial role into active-policy-making."

    AND

    "the Netanyahu government may not accept being crushed between two hostile regional powers, Iran and Turkey, whose aggressive pretensions Washington is promoting."

    AND EVEN MORE

    "Cairo and Riyadh will resist with all their might the US bid to anoint Iran the crowning Middle East-Gulf power. Both perceive Iran's nuclearization as the inevitable outcome of this policy."

    sweet jesus.. there's more analysis in that one debka article than 5 years of Jeremy Bowen.

    heady stuff.

    if Barry sidelines the Israelis, my guess is the following will happen pretty sharpish:

    1. regional military alliance between saudi, egypt, jordan and israel. the former enemies united in a bloc against Iran.

    2. What about Russia and China? They are already in the region, dealing with Iran. However , the Saudis have struck deals with the Chinese over the past few years – if Saudi sees the Americans abandon Israel, then it is in the royal families interests to seek other protectors – and thats probably going to be China.

    End result of Barry's middle east strategy: Far less American influence, if not minimal, save for Iraq. Entire region will shift into the Chinese & Russian orbits – including Israel.

    Barry was given the gift of Iraq in terms of making a big push for American influence in the region.. looks like he's going to blow it , big time.

    biggest story of the day, imho

    Barry wants to tax-tax-tax those evil American multinationals

    More hereHe really is on a one-way route to destroying American capitalism – does he really think that they’ll keep their HQ’s in America?

    It’s quite simple to avoid what Barry is proposing – set up a shell company in Switzerland , and get that to “buy out” the American corporate.

    Nothing much will change, but legally all taxes will now be paid in Switzerland.

    Oddly enough a similar thing happened in Russia until they introduced the flat tax system. In fact, Putin’s flat tax was introduced precisely to get them back from their Swiss exile..

    Methinks Barry is going to learn the same lesson – only this time taking down the entire American economy in order to learn something that is utter common sense to any conservative.

    OK so three problems with these comments which need to be addressed:

    1) For some reason if you use HTML tags to enclose text, the paragraph immediately after it will follow on from the tagged text without a break. It ignores any white space, new paragraphs etc. This doesn’t show in the preview but screws up when you post.

    2) Still not allowed to post tag-free links? Come on somebody! This has got to be easy to fix! It seems like someone should be doing some serious fiddling with the Blogger comments control panel…

    3) Having to log into a Google account is indeed very inconvenient, especially since you have to be careful that you’re not already logged into your personal Gmail account already. I appreciate the whole spambot issue but surely we should be able to post with a simple “name” while still having to enter the word verification (which as far as I’m aware still foils the most intrepid spambots)

    The bBC, Its anti-Semitic stance towards Israel and how to lie for Hamas.

    Gaza patients questionings ‘rise’The number of Palestinians forced to provide information before being let out of Gaza for medical treatment is rising, an Israeli group has reported.
    In the first three months of 2009 more than 400 patients were interrogated, Physicians for Human Rights says.
    They say Israeli security services are involved in a systematic attempt to recruit Palestinians as collaborators.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/8032508.stm

    So according to the bBC those nasty jews are asking questions of people who are crossing from one country into another. (well according to the info they have gleaned from the prestigious Physicians for Human Rights. But that’s just it, it isn’t the American based human rights org which is providing the bBC with the stick in which to hit Israel. No rather the org they refer to is the much lesser known Physicians for Human Rights (Israel)

    You’d think the bBC would have made sure that they would have made that distinction quite clear. (Maybe that explains why there is no website link) Not to worry Al-Beeb Pounce will provide the facts you so kindly omit;

    http://www.phr.org.il/phr/

    Anyway back to the Al Beeb article which claims in the first paragraph that in the first three months of 2009 the nasty jews have interrogated 400 foreign (Gaza) people who require medical treatment in Israel. Which is strange as if you read a little further down you see that the figure of 438 is given a time span of 15 months (less than 1 a day) and not the 3 months as broadcasted by Al Beeb as the truth. Something the Physicians for Human Rights (Israel) website substanistes. Even stranger is how the bBC kind of left this little snippet out of that news report;

    Patients have reported to PHR-Israel that since February 2009, Hamas police – stationed at a checkpoint a kilometer and a half south of Erez Crossing – have been preventing individuals from reaching Erez Crossing for GSS interrogations. According to the testimonies, patients claim that Hamas policy is to permit patients to reach the crossing only if they are going there in order to exit for medical treatment. In some cases patients report threats leveled at them that if they attend the interrogations they will be harmed.So lets see Israel questioning less than 1 person a day before allowing them to enter for medical treatment and the bBC shouts foul play. Yet the more insidious Hamas actions of actually threatening people who want to be treated by Israel is left out of the report.

    Anyway back to the Al Beeb article which claims in the first paragraph that in the first three months of 2009 the nasty jews have interrogated 400 foreign (Gaza) people who require medical treatment in Israel. Which is strange as if you read a little further down you see that the figure of 438 is given a time span of 15 months (less than 1 a day) and not the 3 months as broadcasted by Al Beeb as the truth. Something the Physicians for Human Rights (Israel) website substanistes. Even stranger is how the bBC kind of left this little snippet out of that news report;

    The bBC, Its anti-Semitic stance towards Israel and how to lie for Hamas.

    Those “Tea Party” protests the BBC didn’t want you to know about until reality forced their hand are still going on. The next big round will be on July 4th, but there will be a few popping up around the country until then.

    Hundreds of thousands of people have participated (including myself – twice) so far, but it’s only a blip on the BBC radar. Come to think of it, has the BBC’s North America editor mentioned these at all? Ever? He has the time and inclination to take three swipes in a row at the Governor of Alaska, who hasn’t been in the news in months, but nothing about this growing nationwide movement. It looks like the BBC’s North America editor and future Today presenter has left this to his colleague and possible successor. Unfortunately, that guy, Kevin Connolly, dramatically misrepresented what’s going on, and used a sexual innuendo to insult the people on whom he’s supposed to be reporting professionally.

    The bBC, Its anti-Semitic stance towards Israel and how to lie for Hamas.The BBC has more or less allowed itself to be a courier for a NGO press release. The basic assumption is that Israel is obliged to provide medical treatment, at the same price and standard as it provides its own citizens, to essentially anyone who needs it: citizen or non-citizen; resident or non-resident; or as appears in this case resident of a country at war with Israel. Is this the position in Britain or the default BBC position?
    See: Petition to the High Court of Justice – Health Insurance for Non-Resident Children http://www.phr.org.il/phr/article.asp?articleid=701&catid=73&pcat=73&lang=ENG

    The secondary position is that Israel, notorious for the 'interrogations' of visitors through its borders must forgo them if the visitor comes from a country at war with Israel with a medical excuse. I can think of at least two cases in the past where Palestinians crossing for medical purposes carried out or attempted suicide bombings. I would have been better journalism to mention it.

    The third position is that it is somehow against the rules for Israel to recruit collaborators. If they are doing it, so what?

    This biased report is obviously written by someone who hasn’t read the other report on the subject filed by Raffi Berg on 30th April, or if they have they’re doing their best to counteract his detailed explanation of the procedure and more sympathetic-to-Israel exploration of Israel’s dilemma. Contrast and compare the two articles on this subject, and see what a difference the attitude of the reporter must make to the readers’ understanding of the complex moral issues.
