Yes I heard this item. Apparently as many as a million people so far have been displaced by Taleban terror… yet has anyone heard a proper BBC report on this? I haven’t. Now why is it that the vile, lying, cheating, extorting BBC cannot send one or two of its 383645726 Islamabad-based hacks and stringers to actually do some reporting there, and tell us about the judicial murders of woman, musicians, sportsmen and others?
Because it just doesn’t matter in Beeboidland. They just don’t care.

Is he guilty of the crimes of Waging war on India; Murder; Destabilising the government; Kidnap; Robbery and Smuggling illegal arms and explosives? Now that he is the defendant he will have to defend himself against the charges. He ‘may’ not be guilty. As always, that is up to the courts.
BTW as is standard with the BBC the words Muslim and Islamic are missing. One could believe from reading this article that his motive was: thrill or financial gain. Religion?

He ‘may’ not be guilty of the crimes but there is no doubt he committed the actions. He has long passed the ‘suspect’ stage.

Yes, every sane person in the entire world knows that this individual is guilty of terrorism and murder. We’ve all seen the pictures and he was caught in the act. His trial should have lasted thirty seconds. But legal teams, journalists and BBC pontificators etc. are unable to earn much from short trials. They have to stretch on for a lucrative enough period if the mortgages are to be paid.
I laughed out loud when i heard the Beeb autocue-reader speak of those “Conservative Clerics” in Iran. From the context you would believe Dinnerjacket was a normal freely elected democratic leader of Iran. Bit like Gordon or Obama but with a beard. Except of course the leader of Iran is that bloke in the sky who needs seven hundred clerics to interpret the manifesto he left behind seven hundred years ago.

Given the government’s penchant for Islamism, hatred of Christianity, suppression of freedom of speech and expression, and deprivation of ancient liberties and freedoms, wouldn’t it be more accurate to call these people “Labour Clerics”.
Al-JaBeeba tried the same ‘con’ trick in a piece about Saudi Arabia recently. It was described as an “ultra-conservative” country, rather than the more accurate (but more off message) “fundamentalist islamic hell hole”.
Another patently transparent attempt to associate the word ‘conservative’ with something negative, whilst at the same time underplaying the role of the [sarc on]religion of peace[sarc off]. The annoying thing is this tactic *does* work – mostly on those whose critical faculties have been ossified by Heat magazine and Big Brother, and on our poorly educated (but properly indoctinated) ‘yoof’.
I don’t know – maybe the Tories should change their name to ‘The Islamic Congress for the Liberation of Palestine From Those Nasty Jooooos” *then* they might get some favourable (or at least balanced) coverage from Pravda.
Plet should have been sacked for her Arafat tears. She’s not of the quality we should expect for out TV tax. If the BBC won’t do the decent thing they should post her to their new Salford HQ rather than a news hotspot like Pakistan.
It’s time somebody started a campaign to get the BBC to stop using the term “conservative” in situations like this and bring back “fundamentalist” instead. The BBC had to create a whole policy on using the T-word because of pressure from emotional groups, so why not do the same for “conservative”?
Searching through BBC archives, the use of “fundamentalist” when talking about Muslims seems to have stopped cold in like 2005. Other than some guy with that in a book title, it looks like there was already a policy change for some reason. Maybe that’s related to Mark Thompson’s admission that the BBC does make a greater effort to appease Mohammedan sympathies. Yet, they have no problem saying fundamentalist Christian, and one of those is far less likely to behead you for not being one of them. So they should talk about “fundamentalist” mullahs, and “fundamentalist Islam”, etc.
The BBC used to use the term quite a bit. At some point, though, it all switched to “conservative”. They should be petitioned to switch back to “fundamentalist”.
