THE OXLEY MORON?

Here is an item looking at Australian immigration in the 1990’s and how it dealt with “far right” parties. How can this be applied in the UK with the rise of the BNP, asks our wonderful BBC? It is a demolition job on Pauline Hanson and her “One Nation” Party and I have little interest in her but the thing that struck me was the sneering of Nick Bryant at the end and the consequential snickering of Sarah Montague. Listen to the last twenty seconds.

No doubt the mass immigration policies of Sweden, under the guise of 'multiculturalism', appeal to the BBC:

YOUTUBE: "The city of Malmo is more Islamic than Swedish" (5 mins:55).

Pauline Hanson did a demolition job on herself several years ago – she is a figure of ridicule within Australia

She tried to relaunch her career this year and ended up naked on the front of the newspapers – it was fake of course, but it was bloody funny for a few weeks

Maybe the BBC should emigrate lock stock and barrel to Spain where they are proposing to pay immigrants, even those from other EU countries, to go away. The Spanish are obviously in more need of BBC style propaganda on the benefits of immigration than we are here.

The BBC hasn't given much prominence to Spain's policy. I wonder why.

Irony of ironies – Spain has a SOCIALIST government !

    Beeb take note.

I was listening to this story whilst on a long car journey this morning. This was the Beeb at their judgemental, sneering middle-class liberal worst.

Now back home, it seems they're maintaining form with Muslim Victimology (Compo Lottery?) claims – never mind whether they're proven or not – given the top story slot on the news website.

    Who said this:

"This country shall remain forever the home of the descendants of those people who came here in peace in order to establish in the South Seas an outpost of the British race."

Not Pauline Hanson, not John Howard, not Shane Warne, not Skippy the Bush Kangaroo.

But John Curtin, LABOR Prime Minister during the War. And a hero of the Labor party to this day.

When you actually look at the BNP policies (something the BBC doesn’t bother doing), it is almost indistinguishable from the Australian Labor Party of up to, say, the mid 1960s, with policies like:

    – The White Australia policy.

    – Nationalisation of industry.

    – Protectionism.

An irony lost on the history-illiterate BBC.

How can we stop them saying 'far-right' every time they mention the BNP or their ilk when most of the BNP's policies are socialist? They can never wait to get it in.

    JS,

On election night, every time a Beeboid was talking to one of the newly elected BNP MEPs, they would try to get one of them to say the words "National" and "Socialist" together. That's the only time beloved Socialism gets associated with the BNP in the minds of Beeboids. Like with most things, they see only the most superficial connections, so don't ever think past it.

Vomit inducing crap from the BBC over Obama. Only Fox News appears to hold this twat to account, the rest are either sucking his dick or sniffing his arse

Clearly an evil extremist, Australia's immigration policy today, like the rest of the West, is a paragon of clear forward thinking, decency, and integrity.

Grant. It's the way I tell em. Anyone else notice that the BBC 6PM news made NO mention of two more sleazy Labour MPs being caught out? Oh and no mention of the MPs voting to give themselves a big pay rise. ITV news were scathing. Tom Bradby pissed off that pint sized tool Bercow yesterday. Toenails just performed oral on him.

More power to you elbow !
I have to confess that I just dip into the BBC these days and cringe.
Also have to watch my blood pressure.
I cannot believe that this, once respected, institution has sunk so low.
Agree with you about "toenails", what a creep !
Keep up the good work, Martin, you would be much missed on this website !

For those that don't get ITV news here is Tom Bradby beating up on a politician in a way Toenails never would.

Oh and you can see why Tories hate Bercow.

    Martin,

"I'm sorry, but you'll have to pay for another five minutes."

"That was never five minutes just now."

    "I'm afraid it was."

    "Oh, no it wasn't."

And I usually like people who work Monty Python bits into everyday conversation….

What the BBC reported but didnt, take on board, was that the other parties, as well as ganging up on this mwoman and using discriminatory attacks, was that they had to maddress the issues that made people vote for her.

In that most importatnt regard she was a success.
