… attacking the Muslim community.
Dickie tells Harry Pearce and Ros Myers that he has been running an asset who has infiltrated a group of Hindu nationalists, led by Harish Dhillon.
Dhillon’s group is planning an attack targeting Muslims and, with tensions between the Hindu and Muslim communities riding high, a furious Harry demands that Dickie hand over his asset …
Once again Spooks reflects the real issues facing contemporary Britain.
I saw this on bbc 4 on Friday and thought exactly the same thing.

Fiction isn’t realistic? Oh my!

I gave up on Spooks after the last series. Dreams of the world as the BBC believes it to be. Reality inversion or propaganda. Take your pick.

Charlie Brooker once described 24 as a ‘crypto-fascist masturbation fest’, then admitted that he was still hooked by it.
It’s the same thing for me and Spooks.
(and 24 as it happens).

Me too, shamefully – hands up to enjoying this as a guilty pleasure.
The central characters are strong and production is excellent – and that’s what keeps me hooked.
They’ve also had Christian extremist plots in the past, too – and let’s face it, we have so many atroctites committed by those nasty X-tians here, don’t we?
Must be their ‘villain diversity’ policy.

Spooks is called MI5 on BBC North America. The term Spooks is a bit too un PC for the US it seems! I can’t watch it anymore. I don’t mind fiction but the story should at least bear some resemblance to reality not some touchy feely hug a muslim BBC agenda.

How do the Hindus respond to being the BBC’s latest Fu Manchus?

Well, I don’t see – or have heard of – any Hindus amassing in the streets carrying placards advocating the genocide of most non-Hindus and the violent submission to the rest to Hinduism. So, I guess they’re reacting like normal, educated, sane human beings.

Look it’s quite simple; there are no Muslim terrorists and even if there were there are just as many Hindu, Christian, Sikh, Jewish terrorists so it is not significant. Anyway portrayal of Muslims as terrorists would be Islamaphobic and the protestors with banners calling for the beheading ob Beeboids would be outside BBC TV Centre in minutes, with Christians and Hindus there will be the odd letter of complaint and posts on blogs such as these.

In some ways it is heartening that the BBC are getting so desperate in protecting their muslim brothers that they have to stoop to this trash.

Wecome to the 1984 BBC ga ga land. Where black is white and vice versa and it was Hindus’s who attacked Muslims in Bombay. I do not see why the BBC should not be officially listed as a dept of the Communities Ministry as they comply faithfully with all their instructions.

Ah yes. Those nasty Hindus who managed, in a city of 8 million to also find the 0.0001% of the population who were Jews.
Before torturing and raping a pregnant Jewish woman in front of her husband, before butchering them both.
Crazed Islamo-nazi Muslims would never do that!

Is this post a joke? Anyone who’s ever watched Spooks (and I’ve been forced to sit through every blasted episode) will know that in general it alternates weekly between Russian and Al Qaeda terrorists. More research would be helpful next time!

Paulo, these people don’t value research, or facts. Look at their CRU updates. It’s a wankfest based on very little. Same goes for this, the latest in a long line of pointless threads. This site is compelling viewing, as much as spooks is.

Yet but unlike the shite churned out by the drug addled nancy boys at the BBC YOU’RE not forced to pay for this blog. So if you don’t like it here, F off.

Sounds like another Indian Bummer.
The first ever episode of Spooks…
(what a highly racist title, by the way, guess they just don’t get that)
…featured that bane of British life.
Was it a bunch of fascist animal liberal loons. Nah.. how about the mental enviros. Nah.
No… it was those eeevilll fundamantalist Christians who go round blowing up British “abortion” clinics. Hundred very week. It’s a bleedin’ outrage I tells ya.
Such is the BBC’s commitment to veracity. It really does have it’s finger up the pulse of Britain.
