Have you noticed how eerily silent the BBC has become on the topic of ‘climate change’ since the Copenhagen fiasco? Newspapers and the blogsphere are chronicling that we are in the midst of one of the coldest winters in decades, but on the BBC, there’s nothing – not even their usual counter-assertions that in our torrid era, temperature graphs only go upwards, so this is only a temporary respite before we all fry.
Be afraid, be very afraid. Harrabin, Black, Peter Thomson and whole cohorts of senior editors are probably meeting in darkened White City rooms to plan their new alarmist onslaught.
Why bother?
I can write the story for them: “It’s even worse than we thought yesterday”

It gets even more murky.
Netweathers page for today show the temperature is 4.18 deg lower than normal for Jan and yet the corporate weather drone this morning said the temperatures were average for this time of year.
Which is it?
Why tell a blatant untruth?

They know they going to have to be a lot more clever next time, what with Climategate exposing them as a shower of unreliable shite and Britons up and down our recessionary land trudging through snow muttering ‘global warming my arse’.
Watch this space.

It’s not just the BBC. The Telegraph and Times are comfortably ensconced on the AGW bandwagon. Although publishing the occasional item from a sceptical viewpoint, the Telegraph’s environment coverage is headed by Geoffrey Lean (no known impartial reporting on environment affairs since the year dot) and Ben Webster, the Times Environment Editor doing his duty by the Murdochs by venting this drivel

and getting a hearty f*** off in the comments for his pains.

Seems like the commentators are more educated than the columnist

On today’s day farming forecast (Country Tracks 1150) Tomasz Schafernaker was forced to tell us that for the next week (and probably as long as 2 weeks) temperatures will be around 5C lower than the January average ie around zero instead of the expected 7C.
No mention of their endless repetition of the Met Office’s “mild winter” forecast from November…or the “clarification” (ie fudge) last week that despite December being the coldest for 19 years their forecast was actually for the three months Dec-Feb…..so today’s forecast of another 1-2 weeks of cold has blown their figure fudging as well.
When will they stop building fictional MMGW into every environmental number they broadcast?
Surely it must be professionally embarrassing for their weather folk to have to announce this rubbish and then see it immediately go so badly wrong?

I wonder what damage the Met Office has done to the farming industry on all their false predictions. Imagine if the shipping forecast was as unreliable as this?

Oh they will be trying to come up with some scare story for sure, aided and abetted by the ‘bbq summer; mild winter’ Met Office.
I notice the BBC has failed to pick up on the fact that the head of IPCC, multi-millionaire businessman Dr R. Pachauri makes buckets of cash, including from the British taxpayer, because of ‘global warming/climate change’.

The drug addled beeboids are simply waiting for the first Tulip bulb to sprout at Kew gardens when we get some slightly warm day.

The choreographed media campaign prior to the Copenhagen conference was so intense that they are suffering total exhaustion. There simply aren’t any photos of Polar Bears that they haven’t already used!
The media manipulators know that they’ve now got to go back to square one and put together another 6 months of environmental scare stories prior to the next summit. All this at a time when they had expected to be out on the ski slopes, basking in the warm(ist) afterglow of a job well done

All new science papers must have stopped being published as Harribin and Black have not put out any new “research” on the web for a while.
Either that or they don’t read the American Geophysical Union Journal
“Swiss ETH: Glaciers melted in the 1940’s faster than today”

I imagine if this was reveresed, it would take pride of place on their “environmental” pages.
