None So Blind

No matter what evidence is released about the “peace mission” on the Mavi Marmara, the BBC still calls the incident “Israel’s attack”, “Israel’s raid,” or whatever aggressive title they see fit to tag it. They see the incident as Israel’s, as if it belongs exclusively to Israel, though it was clearly instigated by Turkey or Islam.

No matter how many Jihadi videos remain uncensored on YouTube while a humourous Israeli parody gets banned, albeit briefly; no matter how many “go backs to Auschwitz” we’re shown; no matter how many “Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the Gas” we hear chanted, we still condemn Israel for doing what it feels it has to do in retaliation and self defence. Be it misguided and unpalatable or effective and rational, we reflexively condemn Israel with a nonchalant disregard for the imperative necessity to fight for its survival.

People are given air time to assert indignantly that Israel must make more and more concessions, lift the blockade, return to pre 1967 borders, stop building homes for Jews and grant the right of return to Palestinians and all their descendants.

The blockade is described as a collective punishment, which we abhor because of our confused and ambivalent perception of Gazans as innocent victims, while at the same time, oxymoronically, we insist they voted, responsibly, for ‘democratically elected’ Hamas. Some of us then advocate, as a protest against the blockade, the implementation of BDS (boycott, divest and sanction) against Israel, which looks uncannily like collective punishment itself. The victims would be equally ‘innocent voters,’ but applied to Israelis and their democratically elected government, it’s the right thing to do, and the anomaly can languish unchallenged.

Now the Israelis have agreed to let more stuff in, we complain that it’s not enough, the BBC gives air time to various critics of Israel to assert that nothing less than free unfettered access will do. We still think that ‘for peace’ Israel must give the Palestinians what they want, whenever they want, forever and ever till the religion of peace is sated, and goes quiet.

The BBC encourages unparalleled hostility to Israel. It defies reason.

The BBC suffers from what is known as the ‘Israel Derangement syndrome’.

This is a disease, almost a physical one, for which there is no known cure.  Drugs, clips around the earhole with a 2by4, are of no avail.

The real danger for people suffering from IDS, is that if the focus of their derangement wins out, it can develop to full scale insanity. This is already evident among Arab Muslims, a group who have been the first victims of IDS. Their condition is now leading them to self-destruct in public places – even in places where there are no Israelis.

The BBC suffers from several Derangement Syndromes.

BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) was the most marked for a while – but was then followed by Palin DS.

Of course the longest pathology at the BBC, even now still apparent,  is Thatcher DS.

I don’t think there was an utter Cameron DS.  More of a Brown Asslicking Syndrome.    Which is still being matched by the BBC’s Obama AS.

But Israel DS really is dangerous.   I feel in my bones that we are closer to war in the Middle East than for many years.  And what permits that war to be contemplated is media twisting the truth,  with parties like the BBC, Reuters and AP almost indistinguishable from Al Jazeera in their bias against Israel.

All the ingredients for war are there.  Iran developing nuclear weapons and giving endless funding to proxy aggressions against Israel,  Hamas and Hizbollah itching for a fight on all fronts, Islamic capture of the UN,  a spineless US President surrounded by anti-semitic advisors, distraction by the continuing conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, a newly-aggressive Turkey,  witless Governments all around Europe – including Cameron and Hague, Russia and China licking their chops at the prospect of disruption, and media like the BBC failing to report the facts.

All of which leads to Israel needing to be on trigger-hair defensive. Which itself could lead to pre-emptive strikes.

The Jew hating would be jihadist axis have a plan, as we know the aim is to delegitamize the state of Israel and the plan includes the pimping of the idea of sanctions against Israel.
Being a lickspittle lackey of the axis the BBC is only too eager and willing to play its part and the EU is a prime target because of its well known appeaser/useful idiot jew hating leanings.
The BBC is fully on board this highly motivated, planned and co ordinated opperation, we see the BBC pimping the possibility of sanctions because that is how these things are sold to the political class and the public.
The art of media spin and the black art of political propganda have become the BBC forte, they are using it to try to destroy a nation and cause what could be a pogrom, a second holocaust in the space of a hundred years! That dear friends is evil and criminal, to set out to provoke a war in which the stated aim of one side is the destruction of a race and a nation.
Some perhaps thought I was over egging the pudding when I called the BBC a criminal organisation, its now clear to see that is exactly what they are.

I don’t think people at the BBC care a damn if there is war – and if Israel is obliterated.   It is as bad as that.   They don’t even care if the Palestinians are caught up in the thick of it all.

I forget where I originally read this, but it struck such a chord that I had to copy it into a folder in “My Documents” that I label ‘Quotes-thoughts-etc’ At the time I thought , well, a bit OTT but who knows what the future will bring? I look on it now ands feel it’s time has come:

“Two decades ago Israel was told that it was Israeli troops in the Judea, Samaria and Gaza that was enraging Muslims.

A decade ago Israel was told that it was Jews just living in those places in their Jewish houses that was enraging Muslims.

Today, Israel is being told that it is Jews living in Jerusalem that is enraging Muslims.

Tomorrow, if Israel withdraws from Jerusalem, as Israel did from Gaza, and Israelis huddle in the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station, it will soon be discovered that the only thing that will appease Muslim wrath is the handover of the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station.

    Go figure.”

      Out to Henry Wood,
You just don’t know how apt your above post is. The bBC is running with an article on how this lifting of quasi-blockade isn’t enough and that the only way the Jews can repent is to open all their borders with Gaza and allow free movement (with jobs) for anybody who prays towards mecca.

One would think conducting a war against your major supplier of raw materials would have major and predictable economic consequences but that is apparently too complicated for the BBC.

No Gaza optimism over easing blockade
Mr Helo used to run a business making steel doors in the Gaza Strip. Before the blockade he was able to import metal from Israel and would produce more than 300 doors a month.

One would think that conducting a war against the country that is your major conduit to the outside world (and a major or possibly the major employer) would have clear and predictable social consequences but that is apparently too complicated for the BBC.

“What about the blockade on people for starters?” he asks.
“One-and-a-half million people are trapped in a prison unable to leave.

One would think conducting a war against your major buyer of products you produce would have major and predictable economic consequences but that is apparently too complicated for the BBC.

Gaza also used to export many goods to Israel and beyond. Strawberries and flowers are still two of Gaza’s most famous products, but most of them never get beyond the barrier into Israel.

As you read much further in the article much of Israel’s justification for its acts becomes clear which is why the BBC positions it far down the article.

It all reminds me of the graffiti supposedly sprayed on a Mexico wall. Yankee go home but leave your money here!

it is now necessary when discussing Israel with so many of our deluded compatriots to ask them only” Do you accept the legitimacy of the state of Israel and it’s right to exist without qualification ?”
If there is any equivocation or qualification then refuse any further discussion. Walk away.
It might end friendships but no matter. The time for discussion is ending and to entertain the views of those who deny the right of Israel to exist is to be complicit in any future tragedy .

Great idea, I will try it out. Worryingly I think I may end up with very few non-Jewish or Hindu friends.

I’ve been doing just that for several years now, and yes it has meant that I’ve “lost” several “friends”, but that’s fine by me.

BBC Bowen’s hatred of Israel can be compared with his sycophancy towards Bashar Asad of Syria:

The activists also had time for this little ruse, allegedly 😉 .

The smuggled video shows the activists participating in a sniper laser-sight scam. Nothing much but when the likes of Russia Today gets hold of the footage it becomes
“Smuggled video shows Israeli snipers aiming, firing at Gaza Flotilla activists”. Oh no it doesn’t! In a similar but not so blatant way the BBC engages in Israel bashing at the expense of unbiased reporting (which we pay for).

    Sue,

I was delighted to hear from you that ‘We Con The World’ had been restored to YouTube and watched it again a few times. Unfortunately it’s now been banned again, again citing ‘copyright’ infringements.

However, the same website, http://www.latma.co.il now has this brilliant piece up on YouTube called ‘The Three Terrors’:

    http://www.latma.co.il/Latma/Templates/showpage.asp?DBID=1&LNGID=2&TMID=84&FID=338&PID=3367

Hopefully the anti-Israel crew wont find an excuse to remove it.
