THE COALITION ISN’T WORKING!

Had to laugh at the BBC’s promotion of the idea that the “economic recovery” (?) of the last six months is being put in peril by the wicked plans of the Coalition that the State sector should live within it’s means. Yes, the good work of Labour is being undone by nasty Mr Cameron. Economic realities are never mentioned – the crunch issue for the BBC is that the Conservatives are going to preside over rising unemployment and therefore all guns will be trained on them. Is it too late to bring back Ben Elton? The BBC appears unaware or disinterested in the simple fact that Labour allowed the State sector to grow to unaffordable and elephantine proportions and corrective action is both timely and necessary. The narrative is going to be simple one – Voting Conservative costs jobs and the BBC will be the fore in assiduously promoting this in the time ahead.

We were first in and last out of the recession. The one eyed mong pumped billions into the economy for almost no effect.

The money markets are far happier with the UK now that someone looks like they are going to sort the bloated public state out.

Funny that the BBC NEVER gave the Tories the credit for the state of the economy when the one eyed mong first came to power, that was all ‘his’ work according to the BBC.

..and they choose to ignore the fact that Labour committed itself to  spending cuts on a similar scale, the only difference being that they chose not to specify what they were going to cut and when they were going to do it. In the event, the Government has barely started implementating their own cuts, so there is absolutely no difference between the two parties’ policies, except that in the BBC’s narrative, the Tories have reverted to type and are planning “savage cuts to essential public services”, the true inheritors of the spirit of Thatcher etc etc.
One point that I haven’t managed to grasp is how total government (local and national) spending rose from £576b to £622b between 2008 and 2009, but is forecast to continue growing to £661b and £681b in 2010 and 2011 respectively. Just how many post-dated cheques did the Treasury allow brown to sign off before he was finally evicted from No 10? (The figures come from http://www.ukpublicspending.co.uk.)

Nothing changes, socialist like the Mong ruin the economy and a conservative government has to sort it out.  That assumes of course that we have such a government, which is doubtful to say the least.  Certainly the public sector has to be reduced drastically but with Cameron and the Cleggorons who knows, I wouldn’t bet on it.

According to reports, David Laws is being prepared for rapid rehabilitation and restoration to the cabinet. As he was the one originally tasked with bringing spending under control, this would leave both Cameron and Osbourne to play the Good Cop role.

I guess one of Gordon Brown’s campaign scripts got left lying around BBC offices.

I wonder when the Conservatives, and Cameron in particular, is going to have to do something about the BBC.
