Hey folks – this is RED ED day on the BBC and anyone who has had the misfortune top listen in to the dreadfully biased Today programme will already know it. All morning we have had breathless commentary from the BBC with each presenter trying to outdo the other on how fawning they can be towards Ed “I’m my own man” Miliband (sponsored by Derek Simpson). EVEN Thought for the Day suggested a Biblical blessing on the brothers Miliband. I also love the way the BBC seek to sanitise Red Ed’s attitude towards the free market, with all reference to his rabidly marxist father’s influence carefully air-brushed out it. Kim Jung il would be proud of the BBC just as I’m ashamed by it.

BBC-NUJ turns UK into North Korea in its continual adulation of ‘Red Ed’

Bear with me here: when I was a teenager my maternal grandfather a very wealthy industrialist (nothing came down our side of the family – unfortunately), announced that he was stepping down from the business and family discussions would be held to discuss who should step into his shoes. Why do I mention this? Because the discussions – especially on Today – about the accession of Ed remind me, too closely, of those in my family. In other words the BBC and the Labour Party are so intertwined that the broadcast “interviews” are nothing more or less than the “progressive” “family” discussing who is going to inherit and what he’s going to do with the family business: the absence of any non-“family” comment is no accident.
BTW, if it’s any consolation, in my family the wrong’un inherited and Grandpa’s millions “disappeared”: let’s hope that Ed’s accession will mean the same for both Labour and the BBC.
BBC-Labour is a family of wrong’uns.
While RedED is writing his speech, the bBC seems to know exactly what is going to be in it. So interesting to see if the declarations are correct. Distance himself from Bliar/Brown. No more ‘boom and bust’ statements. We got it wrong with the economy. We got it wrong with immigration. Nom have to wait and see.
They’ve probably got the BBC propaganda department helping him write it.

12:10 bBC news, laura ku….berg interviewing Jim Knight and Bradshaw. They give the common line, RedED is a blank canvas, not an MP until recently. She does not correct them that ED was close advisor to Brown for 10 years. Influencing all manner of policies but with a major influence in the economic policy. Laura knows all this, but will make sure the viewer is not told.
Spot on Fred. The BBC are quick to link Cameron (when he was an advisor) to Normon Lamont etc but are quick to distance Red Ed from the one eyed idiot.

Daily Politics just interviewed Labour activist complaining that the media have picked on every small difference between Ed and David and exaggerated it . Well, at least you can’t say that about the BBC and the coalition.
Then discussion about the lovely Diane’s decision to stand for the shadow cabinet. Brillo asks if she will have to choose between that and the “This week sofa” . Guest Phil Woolas ( I thought he was disgraced) comments that “This week probably pays better”. No shame , whatsoever. I supported Diane for Labour leader and support her for the shadow cabinet. Non-appearance on “This Week” an added bonus.

I have not heard a Tory on radio 5 for goodness knows how long.

Going by the breathless (almost orgasmic) excitement of Laura K. and Emily M. when reporting on (R)Ed. I can only assume they have spare knickers in their handbags for when they wet themselves.

Out of all the Ed quotes the BBC News Channel is rotating through in the text highlights, one is glaringly absent: Labour would have had to make serious budget cuts if they had remained in power.
Funny how Iraq and unions were the focus Laura’s and Emily’s segments, but nobody dared mention that fact.
It figures. Emily Maitlis is now talking to Oona King and some other woman and trying to get them to say that Ed really didn’t mean it when he said that Labour was going to make severe cuts and that he really meant that he was going to soften them. Fortunately, the other woman didn’t buy that at all. Emily kept trying to push that lie, but nobody was having it.
Oops, off message, time to move on to Danny Finklestein and other issues of the speech.
I don’t suppose anyone on BBC-NUJ has said this about Red Ed:
‘There’s something of the night about him’.
Is he even Jewish? I only read in the BBC’s profile of him that he was borne to Jewish parents. I wonder if he’s the first Jewish Labour leader ever? Who knows? The BBC hasn’t told me.
Born to Jewish parents is usually code for his parents were Marxists who may have been Jewish under the Nuremberg Laws but rejected religion as the ‘opiate of the people’. It is extremely unlikely he has any Jew experience or education whatsoever.
Such parents, on occasion, rediscover their Jewish background when they can use it as a stick to beat Israel. They allow antisemites to deny their antisemitism by pointing to the ‘Jew’ who supports them.
While there is no general rule, Jews like the Millibands sometimes feel they have to protect their neutrality by bending over backwards to criticise Israel.
Is there any comparable condition in other religions where members feel obliged to reference their religion (speaking as a Jew) only when attacking it?

Sky – When Red Ed stated that he wouldn’t support reckless strikes, Sky pointed out the union barons who baked Red Ed didn’t clap and even said “Rubbish”.
BBC- showed the clip but highlighted nothing
Sky- Red Ed on Iraq being wrong, pointed out that none of the old guard (indluding his brother) clapped.
BBC- showed the clip but said nothing

Kinnock is going to be around all day long, I can tell. So far three Beeboids have gotten him to give the same soundbites and ringing endorsement. How many times are they going to wheel him out to repeat the praise today and tomorrow?
Never understood why the BBC think Kinnock is a serious politician. He and his awful wife never won a real election and ended up living off the EU, the most corrupt organisation outside of North Korea.

1.) there must be replacement of 5 months old Coalition govt back to unpopular Labour;
2.) Vote Labour because, as Red Ed
says, Labour got (and still get) it badly wrong on mass immigration, and on mass public spending, etc;
3.) Vote Labour, as Red Ed and co have learnt nothing.
Wow! Tom Bradby drops an A bomb on Red Ed on ITV News. Bradby shows David Milliband having a go at Hattie Hatemenperson when she applauds Red Ed (talking about the war in Iraq being wrong) for that comment. “Why are you clapping, you voted for it” said the loser Milliband looking totally pissed off big time.
funny that Tom Bradby noticed it but Toenails, Kuntsberg and Pinhead at the BBC didn’t or perhaps they did but were hoping no one would notice. Well ITV did BBC.
Bradby also said that he couldn’t see Red Ed walking into Downing Street either.

What makes it even funnier is that Nick Robinson’s Six O’Clock News report played a clip of Ed Miliband denouncing the Iraq War then panned to the inscrutable-looking faces of David Miliband and Jack Straw and asked “What were these two former foreign secretaries thinking?” Well, thanks, as you say, to ITV, we now know exactly what one of them was thinking!
They’re now reporting that Miliband Major asked Harriet Harmen why she was clapping at Miliband Minor’s anti-this war declaration as she voted for the war. The BBC just spent at least ten minutes making a big deal about it.
The Beeboids have been against removing Sadaam from power from the very beginning, simply because it was George Bush’s idea. They turned on Blair only because he went along with it. Now that the new Labour leader has come out against this particular war, they are ecstatic. Labour is at last redeemed in their minds, and it shows in their coverage.
Miliband Minor wishes Sadaam was still in power, and so does the BBC.
Yep funnily though after Sky reported on the Unions not being happy the BBC seemed to change their tune.
Note to the BBC YOU, Sky and ITV get the same coverage, it looks so obvious when the BBC hide something that makes Liebour look bad.
For example we know that the bulk of the party wanted the other Milliband, yet when the BBC did vox pops in the centre funnily enough all they could find were people who voted for Red Ed. How does that work BBC?

Jack straw was on Radio 5: He took responsibility for taking in workers of the new accesssion states of the EU before other countries.
He claimed that they had not got their figures right in how many would arrive.
Remmember Blair saying it would be a bout 12,000 a year?
We had that many in the first month.
some of us were trying to tell them but were simply shouted down with the usual derision.

What Blairites? I didn’t hear much from them today on the News Channel. Tessa Jowell, maybe? She was trying to defend Miliband Minor as much as possible. There is no split, according to him anyway, it’s all in the past.
So more and more Sky and ITV are reporting that there are huge splits in Red Liebour over Red Ed v Dead Dave.
