Wake up Call

For those without the patience to plough through long posts on B-BBC, I urge you to make one special effort to read this terrific sermon brought to us by Phyllis Chesler.
Everyone, especially the appeasing BBC should read Rabbi Lewis’s words. Every single one.

Barry Rubin summed it up succinctly here:

“We ought to have called on you before, and I beg your pardon for intruding now in this informal way, but your house is on fire.”

Yes, freedom of speech stops at a boundary of shouting “fire!” in a crowded theatre. But when there actually is a fire, that’s where it must start.

The other thing I wanted to add, apart from Wafa Sultan’s warning above, is this article by Robin Shepherd.  From The PLO’s representative in Lebanon, Ambassador Abdullah Abdullah:
“the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations, which have started in Washington, are not a goal, but rather another stage in the Palestinian struggle… He believes that Israel will not be dealt a knock-out defeat, but rather an accumulation of Palestinian achievements and struggles, as happened in South Africa, to isolate Israel, to tighten the noose on it, to threaten its legitimacy, and to present it as a rebellious, racist state. He noted that Israel faces international isolation with doubt cast on its legitimacy, because of its actions and the war crimes which it has carried out. He added, ‘Many Israelis in senior positions are afraid to travel to European countries lest they be put on trial for their crimes.’”
That’s what the peace talks are all about. These things are completely off the BBC’s radar, and I’m asking why.

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE INTERNATIONAL FREE PRESS SOCIETY

    Lars Hedegaard
    President
    International Free Press Society
    Copenhagen

    Dear Lars,
I would like to ask you a question about freedom of speech and freedom of the press.
Mark Steyn said at your September 11 conference in Denmark that we in the West must be free to criticize Islam–meaning that our own governments must allow us the freedom to criticize Islam.
I of course agree. As you may remember, when your organization was inaugurated in early 2009, I argued that it must put at the top of its agenda the call for the repeal of all hate speech laws in Europe.

A powerful sermon that  I will pass on to as many people as I can and will put up on  my blog. It is my belief that Israel will cease to exist as a Jewish state within 20 years, would anyone disagree?

Here is Mark Steyn talking about freedom of speech.

The BBC used to employ Steyn, who presented Broadway stuff freelance.  A good broadcaster, amusing programmes – as well as a great writer.

Steyn’s warnings about Islam in Europe are widely known – but the BBC would never dream of letting them get through to their dhimmi audience.

When I first started messing around with computers and websites years ago,  I wrote something about Pakistan  warning about the proliferation of Madrases  churning out thousands of hate filled Islamic fanatics and that Pakistan was a tinder box awaiting to explode. Bill Clinton was in power at the time and I suggested that he was totally ignorant of foreign affairs. I must have hit a nerve because I was threatened with some nasty posts from foreign sounding names on my site. I closed it down. But look whats happened to Pakistan today.  I agree with every word Wafa Sultan said.
