FIRST CLASS TO DC…

Did you read that expenses claims lodged by Peter Horrocks, the director of the World Service and BBC Global News, show he travelled business class for a British General Election reception on May 6th held at the British Embassy in Washington DC. He flew back to London the following day.

The flights cost £1,780 with an additional £181.49 spent on his hotel room. Mr Horrocks, who earns £242,800 a year, also charged the corporation £79.60 for taxis to and from the airport in Washington and a further £19.44 for ‘access to secure BBC internet’.

Ain’t life grand when you can tap into £3bn per annum? Vital business, obviously.

It was a party – why did he have to go? What benefit was there to the license-payer? What would have been different had he not gone? Who signs his expenses? How much a yerar does Horrcks junketing cost the licensepayer? Why does he fly first/business class? Couldn’t he find a room costing less than one license fee for a year? Why do we need the World Service anyway? What I have heard from the overseas service is more biased tosh than even the BBC proper

Disgraceful, but typical of many Socialists.  Why do they behave as such?  Becasue they are not held accountable much like EU Commissioners.

Look, the British public (also known as the “money tree”) is there purely to stump up for these jollies.  After all, what is licence money for?  So a good shake of the money tree at regular intervals ensures that these jaunts continue, whilst continuing to feed that same money tree bullshit as fertiliser.  What a shame that the money tree isn’t as aggressive as Japanese Knotweed – THAT would give the greedy bastards a run for their money…

Can you produce a valid TV licence, Sir?

    Disgraceful.

The  ‘let ’em eat cake’ of these chancers is thoroughly, deeply offensive.

A good deal of what the BBC does is because of the amount of money it is handed and not because of the needs of the job. The whole thing is completely back to front.

The BBC’s profligacy is as bad as the MPs’ expenses scam and shows the same mindset and sense of entitlement to live high on the hog regardless of anything else.
