Don’t know if anyone else watched Newsnight but it’s almost as if the BBC are annoyed that the UK trade unions have not taken to the same level of street violence as we see in France. Quite remarkable, and running close to incitement to riot. Did you see it?

I thought Paxman was just deliberately being provocative. He seems terminally bored by his job as if he knows the whole Newsnight show has become a ridiculous charade. Not to be taken seriously and the two trade unionists looked embarrassed.
On the other hand Crick looked more woebegone than usual and still believes in the whole sad travesty that has become the default mode for BBC reporting over the “cuts”.
The “cuts” show on the BBC is are even more boring than Strictly come dancing and that is saying something.

The reliance of this ‘journalist’ on a raft of ‘sources’ is beyond a joke now.
Plus I see any BBC Blog is now being targeted by those with no arguments of substance at all, trying to make this an ‘us’ vs. ‘them’ issue, without being clear on who they feel the protagonists are, and simply seek to threaten any who do not share the BBC world view.
Unique.

One of the funniest things about Michael Prick’s blog, apart from the sheer triviality of some of his posts is the very small number of people who bother to comment. He really is a simple-minded buffoon.

Mate, the reason the frogs are getting out in the streets is because they view protesting as their democratic right. Whereas in this country you only demonstrate if the Jews are defending themselves.

Yes, but lest we forget, the French really do know how to put on a good riot.
They have been practising for centuries with only a short break between 1939 and 1945.

Look on the bright side. If there is another war in mainland Europe, we won’t have the armed services to intervene and something tells me that conscription won’t work next time round !

politicians hate the public giving their opinions via protest or any other means full stop.”elected” politicians-left or right will continue to screw you, even Mr D vance will given half the chance, just for a bit of power, even tho the electorate has rejected him. be like me..fkcu em all.., as the libs have shown, they all sell out for POWER.

Even weirder was hearing the distinct strains of the Clash and ‘White Riot’ playing before the Swansea vs QPR match last night as I listened to 5Live or Radio London.

It just shows what a malign influence the BBC is. They are now undisguised about it. Who will do anything about them.?

I have a certain admiration for the French, irritating though they can be. At least they don’t take sh*t from their Government, unlike the supine UK population.

Noted this too.
The Beeb seem awful keen to juxtapose the cuts here with the riots over there…every news bulletin has done in on telly and radio.
The weekend rebels at the Beeb hope to show their partners pictures of their blagging a skinny latte from the frontline sometime soon. These are the failed runts who never made it to Orgreave, but hope now to hide behind a tubby trade unionist as they spout “Down with cuts”.
Something tells me these poltroons won`t be happy unless they get a poll tax moment before too long. Might keep Paxo awake and let little Montague do a Greenham on behalf of we the downtrodden…until nanny gets her visa anyway!
BBC-trying to do what 68 couldn`t do…and treason is still an offence last time I looked!
