Just a curious little item.Lead story on BBC Northern Ireland is that…gasp..Dublin Airport is now open, having been closed by snow yesterday. Dublin Airport is not in Northern Ireland and yet those wonderful folks at BBC NI determine this to be the single most important news story affecting our lives this morning. Gotta love it.

BBC NI and UTV are stuffed to the gills with republicans and are determined to publicise stories from the Republic as if they were domestic.
Many times I’ve clicked links on the BBC NI website thinking there was a big story in the province only to find it has nothing to do with Ulster (which for those who don’t know straddles the border), let alone NI.

Look, the only geographical positions mosts Beeboids are anywhere near certain of, are the various orifices of rent boys. You can’t expect them to know about country geographies as well.

Few BBC types are this pretty but the knowledge is often the same.

I think I’ve got this right :
Dublin is in the Republic.
Belfast is not.
Now the tricky bit :
Where is BBC NI ?
Well come to think of it as my friend in Colraine with whom I stayed last week said “Don’t listen to them (BBC) just contact Belfast International and if no joy, try City.”
I got home.
So, why is there a BBC NI ? Or does it just have a facination with news from South of the border ?
