    This has to be the most misleading headlin I’ve seen for a while:

    SAS ‘for hire’ after Iranian embassy siege in 1980

    Read the article to find that the memos actually briefed ministers to expect incoming requests for assistance and that we should be prepared with an answer. We weren’t proactively hawking the SAS around for a fee. Ridiculous, and just another example of the BBC looking to write negative healdines about the Thatcher government because they know some people will link Thatcher with the current Tory-led coalition.
