Peter Sissons’ attack on the BBC continues in the Daily Mail today. Though there are no startling revelations – the disrespect he chronicles that is shown to the Royal Family, as evidenced by the handling of the death of the Queen Mother, has been evident for decades – what strikes me is the strength of his writing, and his dignity. This is emphatically not a man expressing bitterness (as the BBC are already claiming), but simple, professional, concerned regret that standards were not met. I look forward to the next installment tomorrow…on climate change.

The BBC attitude to whistle-blowers is totally psychotic they push and cajole people into breaking confidence with their employers down to even trumpeting Julian Assailant sorry Assange and his pet traitor purely for the public good of course !! well except when nurse Margaret Heywood go into trouble then the BBC got so scared they moved to Manchester to hide !
Then along comes a time served BBC worker who has decide to tell of his experiences and the problems he faced in his day to day job and all of a sudden he’s a bitter ex employee who should be ignored
as we don’t ever do anything bad and whistle blowing is now wrong !
Well till the next instalment of wankyleaks when it will be OK again !

Wow! How marvellous. I didn’t know this was going to be a serialisation of the Marxist potage at the BBC! Let’s hope Mr Sissons’ revelations are acted on by those in authority.

They won’t be acted on, because they’re not revelations. We’ve known all this for years.
You can be sure those in authority have known it too, so as long as they can ignore it and thus confine it to the “Daily Fail”, there’s no reason to change.

How depressing it is to be a pessimist!
We ‘know’ it from what we adduce from its output.
Mr Sissons’ contribution is to confirm from the horse’s mouth that what we adduce is right.
That is called compelling evidence. That increases the chances of something being done, as with Robin Aitken’s contribution last year, to restore BBC integrity.
Of course, there’s nothing more positive than realism in my book, and while Mr Sissons’ contribution to the cause of truth is a spark of hope, it is no more than that. But it is a significant spark of hope that didn’t exist before and we should be looking to build on it, not tear it down. That is just doing the job of the Gramscian BBC for it, wouldn’t you say?

Depressing to be a pessimist? Not at all, we’re never disappointed!

Viz Sissons’ next instalment on BBC climate change tomorrow, yesterday when listening to Saturday’s TODAY, I caught the tailend of a trailer of an Horizon programme to be broadcast tonight about how polls show that the majority of the public think the risks of global warming are exaggerated. The programme is called ‘Science under Attack’, which seems to suggest the public has been persuaded to reject science rather than that it perceives the scientists promoting global warming as compromised by a political agenda and accept the views of sceptical scientists.
It’s on BBC2 tonight at 21:00. I wont be able to watch it here in Barcelona, but will be very interested to here people’s take here on it if you’re able to catch it, and how its contents compare with what Sissons’ has to tell us tomorrow about BBC bias over global warming.

If you were so inclined, you could watch it if you use a UK proxy e.g.: http://www.my-expat-network.co.uk/?gclid=CP7ioaDt0qYCFUQTfAodaDq2zQ
However, I’d view being in Spain as an excellent opportunity to put the rancid BBC behind you.

I won’t be able to watch Horizon either, but with the title ‘Science Under Attack’ they nail their colours to the mast as usual. Shocker.
Algore, as the wonderful Rush Limbaugh calls him, and the BBC are high priests of this new climate change church and if you disagree with them you’re a flat earth, “science is settled” denier. Makes me a flat earther then I guess, and a proud one at that.
Can’t wait for more Peter Sissons tomorrow. Well played sir!

As a prelude to Peter Sissons’ ‘Daily Mail’ extract from his book, featuring BBC on climate change, tomorrow:
Oh no, not another unbiased BBC documentary about ‘Climate Change’…

I trust Sissons held his nose while depositing his huge BBC cheques. What a crusader.

Yes it would be nice if Scissons had resigned because of the bias – and not “put up” with it until he retired.

Yes Mr Sissons confirmation of what we all already know would carry much more weight had he not taken their shilling for so many years. That and the fact that he has a cheesy book to flog somewhat devalues this damascene conversion.

Bit of a digression.
Wonder if we could set up a “Back to Thatch” award to be given to the longest time between a current problem and it being sourced back to poor old Mrs Thatch or her contemporaries.
1. Any Questions last Friday blamed the collapse of current state schooling standards on poor old Keith Joseph no less from 1975.
2. Some ludicrous “Glasgow Effect” programme today that was wadding between Woman Sour and P.M managed to blame Glasgows love of fried pizzas on Thatchers economic policies of 1979. Did she privatise the salad tongs then? Luckily the posh Jock that had obviously made good in Islington was able to get a day return to Scotland to wring a lacy hankie over the fat fryer on behalf of the BBC.
Why do we pay them to trouser our taxes only for them to provide only this pap in return?
