MONDAY MORNING STARVATION

Another Monday morning and the BBC kicks with the usual narratives. Global hunger caused by massive population growth  (aided and abetted by global warming, natch) was in the spotlight and occupied prime-time on Today. Professor Sir John Beddington – advisor to the Coalition – was on to tell us just how awful it all is. If one was cynical, it could be argued that this was a timely and well placed piece of propaganda for the Coalition’s bizarre decision to ring fence the Foreign Aid budget. In all the discussion about hunger in Africa, not ONCE was the absence of democracy and property rights mentioned, suggesting that the Professor and his associates believe that tyrants, theocrats and thugs can provide food the people regardless.

Aha, it’s “Global Hunger” now, is it?  Where “Global Warming” failed so spectacularly, and nobody believes it any more, and stuff about sea levels, and plankton, and the shifting gulf stream no longer turns heads, and even Biodiversity is falling on deaf ears, NOW they think they can get us with Global Hunger, ‘cos it’ll affect us all – allegedly.

Even then, they still have to get the prescribed “climate change” dig in at every available opportunity, as they’ve done with the rubbish about the Great Barrier reef being inundated with silt from floodwater, and which will ultimately fall apart and die, where in their narrow, constricted minds, it’s never, ever happened before.  And we all know, of course, that climate change only started within the last couple of years, and that the climate has been entirely stable for the previous 4.5 billion – all down to us, apparently, for having the temerity to live and breathe.  How very dare we?.

What is it with them that they have to try and frighten everyone with unwarranted alarmism?  Can’t they see that they no longer have credibilty?  We are no longer on board (if, indeed, we ever were).  I do wish someone of substance would stand up for the bulk of us, and grab this stupidity by the throat, and throttle the life out of it…

was gobsmacked listening to this. No mention of what happened in Zimbabwe the bread basket of Africa under Mugabe. Also not mentioned the coming demographic collapse in Europe, Russia, China and Japan. So much for listening to experts. He was still talking about global warming.

This topic formed the bulk of the “Country File” programme on Sunday evening.  Not one mention of CAP (don’t do Europe), the stupid rules on leaving a wide gasp around all fields and all the stupid greenie thing, bio fuels etc.  It is all an attempt to drive us down to or below subsistance level.  An increase in CO2 levels will aid growth, that is what plants need, a bit of extra warmth would not go amiss either.

Yes, the way things appear to be going (and rather rapidly, too) extra warmth is going to be a necessity for all of us over the next few years, not just the plants.  Silly buggers.  The Former UK (and the rest of Europe, for that matter) appears to pay farmers not to grow anything, anyway.  We are governed by lunatics whose heads are in the sand, and whose hands are firmly in their pockets (except for when they’re paying Europe billions for being, well, Europe – the nascent Fourth Reich).

There’s plenty of food about, it’s just that the distribution is mismanaged (probably deliberately).  A bit like Beddington, really, there’s too much of him about…

Luckily there is an immediate, permanent solution which will met ALL possible criteria that can be relevant. And it will save us money.

Just stop growing food to convert into ethanol.

    Simples.

Totally fascinating discussion this morning. The main point being that population growth is outstripping food production.
Guess what; that growth is in countries that are unable to feed themselves already.
The BBC solution is that it is our responsibility to feed them because we greedy Westerners are eating all the food and driving the prices up. The pictures of the starving African and Asian children.
In many African countries the population doubles every 10 years. There are no farmers because they were white racists who stole their land during the days of Colonial Imperialism. Now the West must compansate the people they previously exploited and whose lands they stole.
Therein lies the solution; these countries cannot sustain their populations because the White farmer with his technology and ability is no longer there to grow food. Dear 3rd World; time to promote family planning and encourage commercial farmers to return to produce the food you need with proper land security and equality in Law.
Its time we stopped supporting all these self-serving charity/NGO scams (watch day time TV) that save the lives of all these children now, so they can either starve when the next drought hits or go on to produce another 4+ children to replace themselves.
    A fantastic example of this is compare how local poputions coped during a disaster;
In Haiti we see virtually nothing has been done since the quake despite $1bn US being pumped into the country. TV shows us the locals lying around on beds and in the sun waiting for Westener man to come and clean up the mess and sort everything out for them.
Now have a look at Queensland, Australia; the moment the floods subside the local people are out there clearing the streets and fixing things as a community. Where was DEC appealing for funds to help homeless Ausies and fix their homes. Where was the aid being rushed to them with medical teams and food support? They don’t need it because they are quite capable of sorting it out themselves.
Stop the paternalism and let these 3rd World countries sort themselves out. If they don’t manage tough, they must learn to stand on their own 2 feet.

Noted that the usual 8.00 flap from the Beeb flagged up the population bit.You know-more contraception and education and less dark skinned kids to feed please! I mean-our supermarkets have hardly any food in them do they? More GM then!

The old Professor disabuses Humph of that notion that over population is a problem.
Yet  half an hour later we get some misanthrope from the eugenicist Optimum Population Trust nonetheless talking the usual-presumably his taxi had already been paid for! No doubt he had a few kids but no one would ask would they?

An Indian bloke spoke great sense about it all in contrast-he pointed out that India was exporting food and so population was not the problem-but that didn`t stop Humphrys and Miss Anthrope from carrying on regardless  in citing  population growth as  the problem.

Our Indian professor only lived there-so what would he know?
    Good old BBC eh?

As soon as Humprhys brought up biofuels, it was dismissed with a simple, “Yes, but the real problem is….”  And that was it.  So the BBC can claim to have addressed the issue, only to find that it’s not the problem we need to worry about.  Biofuels don’t hit the poorest hardest, yeah.

So the BBC is the voice of the world are they. There is a word for that “Imperialism”

Britain is a small country that is skint. It is no longer a world leader and therefore cannot solve “world poverty” or “global warming”.

The BBC should stick to British “news”, not peddle their lefty guilt trips to the populace.
