CLIMATE "GAMES"

A survey conducted among 24,000 schoolkids by the BBC (clearly the frenzied cuts message has not yet got through the thick skulls of those at the corporation who so liberally spend out money) has found that 49% of them rate climate change as the second biggest threat facing humanity. Confirmation for the boys and girls at the BBC, if it were needed, that their daily alarmism is working a treat – Hitler was not alone in targetting youth.

If that’s not enough, there’s another nice scarefest wheeze afoot – the BBC’s very own climate change game. I kid you not. They’ve spent God knows how much of our money devising it, and this is how it is introduced:

Why make a game about climate change?

Currently there is a growing consensus amongst climate researchers that Earth’s climate is changing in response to manmade greenhouse gas emissions. The main debate amongst scientists is focussed on the amount of climate change we can expect, not whether it will happen. With the current level of debate in mind, the BBC decided a game might be a good introductory route into climate change and some of the issues this creates for governments around the world.

The producers’ primary goal was to make a fun, challenging game. At times it was necessary to strike a compromise between strict scientific accuracy and playability. For this reason, Climate Challenge should not be taken as a serious climate change prediction.

It goes on – seriously folks! – using such liberal dollops of cod science, vapid generalisation and crass misinformation. And it also betrays the BBC mindset in all this. They are actually playing a huge propaganda game with us in which they treat us all like morons. The most vulnerable and impressionable in our society – our kids – are the victims of this horrendous, vicious scam. How many of them lie awake in their beds worrying at night because of BBC climate lies?

Shame on every man jack of them.

Wherever possible, real research has been incorporated into the game. ‘

And where not possible, or on narrative, which does seem prevalent, there is obviously a large body of ‘analysis’ and opinion from within the BBC’s ‘expert’ correspondent base to substitute.

    Unique.

Since when did the “president of the European Nations” feel the need to worry about little matters like voter popularity?

‘a fun, challenging game.’ ?? but the number one fear was terrorism? so how about  a fun challenging game of terror like pass the I.E.D or rendition flight sim maybe some maths games like
‘A Muslim gets on a bus in Manchester there are 27 stops and 26 people  get off and 42 get on so when s the best time to self explode ‘
The best bit of the survey is the at the same time few of the kids feel the threat  of climate whatever??  as a problem for them personally as graph 6.6 shows only 13% feel cc is a threat to them   and graph 7.2 is a pearl as they still want a house loads of money and a car as their top things to get by 30 !!! lol green is only skin deep !.

      “green is only skin deep”

Isn’t it just? Amongst the people I know (including family, unfortunately), the “greenest” ones (ie: the big talkers) also have the greatest number of electronic gadgets and change them more often. In fact the correlation is almost perfect.
      Rank hypocrisy.

I am not sure if it’s the same game (I don’t think it is), but there was a similar game on Steam a few weeks back (For those who don’t know, Steam is a game client with over three million users, one of which is me…)

The game was about trying to juggle limited Earth resources to avert dangerous runaway climate change – and made by the same team who developed BBC’s Climate Challenge.

Needless to say, the game seems to have disappeared from the radar very quickly, with such fast pulse inducing titles as Agricultural Simulator 2011 being more popular with the 3 million + users.

Why is it that anything to do with MMGW/CC has the BBC’s grubby fingerprints all over it – could it be that people, in the real world of rising fuel bills and stagnant wages do not give a toss about this this, and private investors know this too – so the only way to promote the ’cause’ is via public money?

I’m a little dubious about the validty of the question.
Question 24: “What do you think poses the biggest threats to the world right now?
Choose up to 3 of the following answers:
Responses: Climate change / Nuclear weapons / Infectious diseases such as Swine flu, AIDS etc / Gap between rich and poor / Terrorism / Cyber Crime / Extreme weather / I don’t know / Other / I’d rather not say

*Surely Climate Change and Extreme Weather are essentially the same thing?
*Shouldn’t Gap between Rich and Poor be better expressed as Poverty?
*If we look at the order of the questions, would it be cynical to suggest the pollsters wanted the answers to fall in the relative order they were given. The fly in the soup was terrorism which if I was cynical I would suspect was placed low in the order to hide it. The answers otherwise follow almost the same order as were given.

My statistics lecturers would say the way to avoid this ‘Survey Error’ would be to randomise the order on the surveys. There is no evidence this was done.

    * Just as an exercise I wonder if those choices are the choices I would pick. Wouldn’t War, Drugs, Religious Extremism, Islam(!), Jews(!) be equally valid options for the list?

Its nothing more than child abuse, they are abusing children by dressing up their political indoctrination just like Ronald McDonald, the clown sells junk food to kids and the BBC filth are using the same deceptions to sell children their own product. The BBC are no better than the peddlers of junk food and in fact they are far worse because junk food isnt a fraction as bad as junk theology. They are really are the scum of the earth.

BBC polls? A veritable study in dishonest manipulation with each poll having a predetermined result. First the BBC decide what particular narrative they wish to pimp and then they design specific questions to guide and deceive those polled into giving the ‘correct’ answer.

If its a BBC poll you just know they are lying.

And what on erath do children actually know of the facts anyway? Almost all of them have been saturated with CAGW propaganda for years now. The BBC scum have no morals, they  are happy to use children to pimp their rancid greenshirt ideology but judging them by their eager and enthusiastic support of the snuff video showing the casual murder of children by their friends at 10-10, the BBC have no real genuine love for children other than how they can be exploited to serve their grotesque and ghastly political beliefs.

THE BBC: KIDS? FILL THEM WITH LIES AND HATE AND FEAR AND GUILT AND THE FUTURE BELONGS TO US.

What seems to have escaped everyone is that the climate is always changing – mediaeval warming, little Ice Age, Roman Warm period anyone?  Those halcyon days when the Romans grew grapes near Hadrian’s Wall or the fantastic Ice Fairs on the Thames?  And that was well before the invention of the internal combustion engine.

Real trouble with the BBC is that they don’t seem to be able to think.  All the IPCC prognosications come from computer models – the evidence does not support them.  Interestingly the kids are getting a lot more savvy – it’s the middle aged greenies who are the big supporters of the New Religion and are the ones who want to dictae my lifestyle.

    • Natsman says:

A lot of IPCC prognostications came from Greenpeace, and the like, and magazine articles, and non-“peer” reviewed papers, as well as a considerable amount of falsified information, which has been coming steadily (and regularly) to light ever since, coupled with a strange chairman who writes soft porn, and who has financial fingers in a number of convenient pies.

A totally discreditable organisation.  We all know that, and they know that we know, but they still keep chuntering on with their rubbish.

As do the BBC, in exactly the same way…

I think i have found the  psychological profile that fits the BBC/greenish mindset it’s a phenomena called by pilots  ‘press-on-itis’ which is defined as =
Press-on-itis is really the result of a decision-making error that involves continuing toward the destination (objective) despite a lack of readiness of the air plane or crew and the availability of reasonable lower-risk alternatives. Press-on-itis often occurs when there is an unsuitable environment such as bad weather [or climate disrup?? well what ever it is now !] at the destination. The pilot may continue on despite warnings from ATC or other crew members.
Know I know many of us also suffer from this thought process problem usually when driving but to be locked in it for 10yrs+ like many BBC/greenish is very troubling !!

I put this on Steve Goddard’s site, in response to an article about some mayor somewhere who thinks he can reverse global warming, I think it’s apt here, too…

    ______________

All these weird people clearly have a “bonkers” gene which remains dormant in their skulls until triggered by key words (or phrases) like “climate change”, “global warming”, “power station”, “Mann” or “Gore”.

Once fired, this gene rapidly infects the thought processes, and switches the unfortunate victim into hopeless lunacy mode.
There is no antidote, other than a series of electric shocks to the head, which will be insufficient if merely powered by wind-turbines or solar panels.

Thus there is an innate necessity for those affected to reduce the efficacy of traditional power generation, in order to facilitate self-preservation, hence their driven encouragement of the proliferation of wind farms.

Mr. Huhne has been so affected, probably initiated by association with a lesbian

This seems pretty silly, considering the students are indoctrinated day and night about how we’re all doomed by Climate Change.  The fact that the respondees listed it as the second biggest threat just shows the results of the teachers’ agenda, nothing more.  It’s what they’re taught.  This is an exam result, not a valid survey of independent opinion.

    • Cassandra King says:

You are right David, the BBC knew what results they required of the children before any questions were asked.
The BBC have no shame and nobody with the moral values to question the morality of what they are doing and the reasons for doing it, the so called BBC trust couldnt care less and so the behaviour of the BBC degenerates.

It’s like asking students whether or not they think 2+2 = 4, and claiming that’s indicative of how important the number four is to them. It’s what they are taught in school, and not personal opinion.

I don’t know about where anyone else is, but it’s nearly April and in my NYC neighborhood right now it’s 30° F, about ten degrees below the average low and barely above the record low.  Been that way for a week now, and has happened nearly every year for the last 15.  Damn Global Warming.  That’s why they changed the term to Climate Change.  Much easier to indoctrinate the masses when they’re not looking.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
    Joseph Goebbels
The only way the BBC ( and the political class) can keep this lie alive is by indoctrinating children. They are getting desperate and sicker as the years pass by.
You will not hear any disention from Cameron.  He objects to children being targetted by companies to sell an ideal.
“He put forward a range of plans intended to give children back their childhood and said that he would prevent advertising and marketing companies from bidding for government contracts for three years if they flouted rules against targeting children.”

    http://women.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/women/families/article7031785.ece

Yet he is quite happy for the BBC to scare them witless with lies and exagerations.

You make a really good point John, the hypocrisy is truly sickening where they will attack companies for selling to children and attack advertising companies using marketing strategies to sell these products while using more or less the very same tactics to sell their own ugly product to children.

When I say these people are guilty of nothing less than child abuse I really mean it.

Since I started walking 10 years ago I have made an in depth study of climate and the complex physics behind it. I have read the Hockey Stick thesis by Mann et al as well as papers by Briffin, Jones, Lindzen, Christie etc to get a good grounding in both sides of the debate. I now have come to the conclusion that Climate change is the biggest issue today and I have written to Santa to make it go away.

This is actually their third go at climate change propaganda via computer games. The first incarnation was also on the BBC website. The BBC  paid for it with our TV Tax.

Gobion Rowlands: The BBC sponsored us to make a game called Climate Challenge, and we had a million people play that, and we asked, “Well, what else can we do with this?

The second version was also funded  by us.

The Operation: Climate Control game is developed by Red Redemption and the Stone Ashdown Trust and is funded by the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) Climate Challenge Fund – “Tomorrow’s Climate – Today’s Challenge”.

Now I’m left wondering if the BBC handed over some of our money for shares to fund the latest version.

Gobion Richards :We are partnered with Oxford University, the World Wildlife Fund, Greenpeace, Amnesty International, a whole bunch of them. We’ve had a lot of support. We raised our own money to make the game through sale of shares, so we are self financed with no publisher money.
