Been busy hence lack of posts! Anyway, catch up time. First this…with regard to Cleveland Police Authority.
“I wonder why the BBC neglects to mention the party affiliation of the Chairmanin its report here: Google the Councillor’s name and bingo!, the answer is clear.”
Gotta love their guile.
Very typical. Other oft-missed words include:
“Black” or other race related descrition in stabbing cases (with good news the descrition is always there)
“Pakistani” (Asian suffices, unless, as above it’s good news)
“Far left”…words never seen together in any BBC content.
“Palestinian terrorist”…ditto (in this case ‘terrorist’ could be replaced with murderer, over-reaction, disproportionate response, etc)
etc.

Can I add “Labour press” to the list?
Auntie often bangs on about the “Tory press”, but never seems to mention the “Labour press”.

Is the answer LABOUR? I haven’t googled, I’m just taking a stab in the dark.

‘Gotta love their guile’
If not the agenda-driven selectivity whilst in control of a powerful edit suite.
Does anyone get tasked to explain why, in such cases, the inclusion or not of such context seems… skewed?
