BBC APOLOGIES TO MARCUS HOWE

Wonder what you make of this?

The BBC today apologised for a live interview on its news channel in which the veteran campaigner Darcus Howe was accused of taking part in riots.

The writer and presenter was a guest during a discussion about the unrest on the streets of London when he was challenged by presenter Fiona Armstrong. The corporation apologised for any offence caused following complaints from viewers. During the interview yesterday, studio-based Armstrong said: ”You are not a stranger to riots yourself I understand, are you? You have taken part in them yourself.” But Howe, speaking from the aftermath of the disturbances in Croydon, responded: ”I have never taken part in a single riot. I’ve been part of demonstrations that ended up in a conflict. ”Stop accusing me of being a rioter and have some respect for an old West Indian Negro, because you wanted for me to get abusive. You just sound idiotic – have some respect.”

Great to see Marcus using the N word, bet that got BBC hearts a beating. I enjoyed this.

Sorry_Darcus is just the kind of black puppet so beloved of lazy BBC types!
I first saw him on a Granada Youth show called Devils Advocate in the early 80s…a real useful idiot ,parrotting much of the identity victim twaddle that saddles us today!
Last time I saw him, he was leaving Newcastle negotiating with the lowlife that had taken his car about how he might “reason with the lad” to get it back…he didn`t!
At least he was able to rant his anti-white nonsense with cause that evening at least!
    Still-it`s a living isn`t it?…and we`re paying for his rolling guilt tour…never ending!

That Fiona Armstrong is horrible.  How can she possibly condescend to Joan Rivers (no fan, me) for objecting to being called a racist?  How can she say she understands “both sides”?  Awful.

So how much was Howe involved with those responsible for turning those demonstrations into conflicts?

The BBC really doesn’t help Social Cohesion at all.

Sounds like an apology for black rioters described justly as protesters- maybe the BBC will invite him onto QT so that their own pc vocabulary will get some mileage afterall? I remember Devils advocate…. he’s an absolute cricket enthusiast, worships the game. I’m still not sure if hes a so called uncle tom figure. My guess is that they will be desperate to get such “elders” on.

I saw the interview and I’m sorry but Darcus was being deliberate and making little sense whatever trying to make the whole thuggery emotive and rational. He then deftly played the race card and we get this nonesense response. Utter bilge!

That Darcus Howe has been involved in riots during the 70s  and 80s isn’t in doubt. Was also quite laughable to hear him trying to blame the police – using the fact that his grandson, apparently “an angel”, had been searched by them at some point or other. Darcus, of course, has 7 children by multiple mothers and part of his career has been made writing articles/documentaries on what a pathetic example he’s been as a father having repeatedly abandoned his children – some of whom went on to become criminals.

It is worthless, feckless, grievance hunting, responsibility shirking ‘men’ like Darcus who are in large part responsibility for the feral youths at the heart of these riots.

      Good point.

The only reason the BBC apologised was because he is a Negro. Plain and simple.

Howe was an agitator, though apparently not a rioter. The interviewer may have used the wrong word and he was adept at seizing upon it to make out that he’d been wronged by someone who didn’t respect an elderly Negro – a racist, he implied, if did not say outright.

I met a bloke like Howe in hospital once, anything anyone said or did and even didn’t say or didn’t do was because they were a “racialist”. He reveled in playing the victim.
Howe is a parody of himself, he’s thoroughly unpleasant and nothing more than a buffoon. I expect he’d fit in well at todays BBC.

I expect he was pissed off about Fi getting his name wrong twice

It would seem he and his grandson – (who is probably ‘down with the brothers in the hood’ by the sounds of it) knew this was going to happen. Maybe they should have said something!!!

Apparently youngs blacks and whites have been cryptically telling the politicians and police they were going to nick a load of flat screen TV’s and trainers, murder and destroy innocent people’s homes and livelihoods for sometime now. Perhaps once the police finish cracking the encryption on the blackberry messaging service they should work on cracking that particular code.

It’s happening in Syria…pffff, as I say, buffoon!!!

As long as the establishment gives racist hypocritical bigots like Howe elbow room to claim they represent anyone but the scum fringe of the black population there is no way out of this current tragedy. In a normal society people like Howe wouldnt be given airtime, any airtime whatsoever and his ugly views would be frowned upon/are frowned upon by the decent God fearing hard working black population of the UK.

Just one racist bigot with a giant chip on his shoulder given an air of authority to speak for ‘black people’ has done more damage to race relations and the image of black people than anything I can think of.
Black people need to be showed role models of what has been and can be achieved in our England but instead they were given this ugly hate filled racist bigot and he became the much admired BBC/leftist icon.

Now imagine this in context, the BBC/left chose as their much quoted and admired talking head a feckless, selfish, ignorant, hate filled racist with a chip on his shoulder and a ready list of people to blame.
The BBC could have chosen a minister of God/ a top policeman/ a scientist/ a doctor/ a politician/ a serviceman or any of the tens of thousands of good decent law abiding black people out there in our England yet the BBc/left chose Howe instead.

And still the BBC crawl on their knees to this scum.SORRY? There is nothing to be sorry about, there is no need to say sorry for telling the truth to a bitter twisted nasty little man. But this is the BBC isn t? They cannot admit the truth, they cannot admit that the BBC has for the last few decades done the wrong thing for the wrong reasons at the wrong time, they picked as the representatives of black people the wrong people, they chose the race hustlers, the racist bigots, the crackpots, the mentally unstable, the feckless, the crooked to speak on behalf of the black community which in reality they have never represented anything other than a tiny warped minority.

To the BBC/left Howe represents the poor oppressed black people driven to the margins by massa whitey and his whip, just one generation removed from the slave chains and the cotton fields, the imperialist nazi white slaveholding whitey eh? Every black a victim and every ordinary white person to blame. During the shameful attacks on the history of Englands fight against slavery, scum like Howe dared to cast blame on all white English people. Remember that this this the nation that has done more to advance the cause and progression of black people than any nation on earth.

Am I to blame for Arab traders finding an alternative market for black African slaves when the demand collapsed in the middle East, a trade that has lasted a thousand years and still goes on today despite English efforts to crush the trade 200 yrs ago. Am I to blame for black slavers and Arab traders starting a thousand year trade?

In truth the only thing that the UK has witheld from the black population is the very things they need the most and were denied by the forces of the BBC/left was discipline and accountability for their actions and a sense of pride in doing well for themselves and England. I know many poor black people who go to church, work hard, discipline their kids and wouldnt dream of stealing or engaging in criminality, its time the BBC represented these people.

    Blisteringly good as ever Cassandra!
The man is just a fraud who ended up giving us Terry Christian…”thank `e kindly sir”,
Still as long as there`s a chip to claim, a claim to blame…you`ll find old Darcus!
When a man rings his own car to negotiate its return-then puts it on the telly as `what whitey done to `im”, then it makes more for farce than for documentary.
Couldn`t someone help the old fool out of the coming care home…race blind of course?
I may write a rerun of Love Thy Neighbour or Mind Your Language…in an ironical way though-and see if he can play Lenny Henrys father…obviously there`ll be plenty scope for rioters to apply for his other kids-he had enough of them!
Can only dream it might be as successful as Kingdom Road or whatever that all-black comedy was! Had the Brigstocke humour bypass, so I`m thinking 6.30 Radio 4 for me!

This article in the Independent  22 October 2005, puts Darcus into perspective.

    Worth a read.Says it all.

The BBC has only itself to blame if they choose to turn to him for constructive comment.

Open goal and Armstrong misses. Someone really ought to have challenged Darcus on how many children he had fathered, and how many he supported – how much he spent on child maintenance a month. Any bets?

Funny how such questions never come to the lips of interviewers. Its not the right script somehow for a career in the media. At least not until now.

For anyone interested, you can actually read the BBC’s response here:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/content/response/res_bbcnewsriotscoverage

They apolgise for any offence caused. The BBC is always sorry if someone is offended by something they’ve seen or heard on the BBC. That’s not the same as apologising for the interview itself or any of its content, which they don’t.

And to avoid some of the obvious confusion here, the interview in this post is not the interview being referred to in the BBC complaints.

Darkus Howe is a bully who never tires of playing the victim.  A disgusting man.
At least he’ll think twice before mixing it with Joan Rivers again.
