It’s interesting to compare how the BBC and Sky cover the same story. Take the visit by Prince Harry to Salford today, for example. As I was driving home from work this evening, I had the great misfortune to hear how BBC Radio 4’s PM programme covered it. The angle chosen was whether local people were happy to see him there- or not. Two people interviewed, one for the visit, one against it. So, the impression given was that a substantial number of people from Salford resented the presence of Prince Harry. I then happened to catch Sky News covering the same subject only they chose to stick to the facts of the visit without the need to Royal bash. It was a radical difference in approach.

At this rate, BBC-NUJ will be giving out jobs to Salford rioters:
“It’s swish up North: Welcome to the ‘billion-pound’ state-of-the-art BBC HQ… just a pity no-one wants to work there”

Having walked around the new area that the bbc now occupy, if the rioters want to do us a favour then next time, congregate in the media city area. they can ‘kill’ two birds with on stone, as they say.

John in Cheshire, the above remark (and your remark encouraging Mossad to target BBC personnel) comes close to inciting people to commit a crime.

Be fair wild.
Have you been watching what the licenced and state approved BBC have been inciting these last few years?
Cheshire is near enough to Salford for him to know that his words-and mine-will be doing far less damage that the Beebs equivocations and nit-picking…and not for “my kind” either!
If any BBC hack gets a whiff of the rage and contempt out here for the likes of them at their worst -then John may be able to stay in Cheshire…and not be forced to EUrozone 3 under Sharia or Health and Safety rules.
(Salt?…asbestos?..all white and not cocaine is it?…got to be a potential risk innit? Oh those poor miners!)

Ah the PM programme. State Eddie Mairs agenda within the opening 10 seconds, and then spend the next 59 minutes pushing that agenda. About the only unbiased part is the weather forecast!
Some of his ponderous attempts to trip up his interviewees raise a smile though.
