Here’s a retweet from the BBC’s Nicky Campbell. I wonder WHY the BBC stalwart would seek to retweet this particular essay on the Texas politician who may well become Obama’s opponent? A pre-emptive strike so early? Hat-tip to Biased BBC reader Keith!
Does Rick Perry believe his idiotic religious rhetoric, or is he just pandering for votes? By Christopher Hitchens.slate.me/pWwUTG
Apologies for “borrowing” this thread but i hope y’all give attention to more lies and manipulation by the BBC, otherwise another monstrosity of deception and agenda pushing will get away:
Vavuniya GA blasts BBC for twisting war-related news
August 30, 2011, 9:42 pm
By Shamindra Ferdinando
Vavuniya Government Agent P. S. M. Charles yesterday blasted the BBC for twisting war-related news to compromise the national reconciliation process.
An irate Ms Charles said that a calculated attempt was being made to deceive people living here and abroad regarding the number of missing in Sri Lanka during eelam war IV.
Responding to a query, Ms Charles said that BBC Tamil Service posted an unsubstantiated report captioned “1,000 children ‘still missing’ since war” on its website on Aug. 29 in spite of her briefing the BBC’s local correspondent regarding progress made by a Family Tracing and Reunification (FTR) Unit with the support of the UNICEF. She said that information provided by her had been used to propagate a lie that nearly 1,000 children reported missing during the final phase of the war were still unaccounted for.
….Ms Charles said that since the conclusion of the conflict they had been able to locate many of those missing children. Among them was a child missing for the past 15 years, she said.

Just to add Vavuniya Government Agent P. S. M. Charles is a “hardcore” minority ethnic Tamil who in the BBC;s warped world has no chance in hell of a job in the Sri Lanka.

To be fair, Christopher Hitchens is an equal opportunity critic of all religions. Plenty on Islamists – and their apologists.
This one is pretty good – tackling a lefty apologist :
and this one too – on the likes of Anjem Choudary :
on Islamofascism (don’t look at the image) :
on the Danish cartoons :

Does Barrack Obama believe his idiotic religious rhetoric? Comment, Mr. Campbell?

What a shock. At least he keeps his personal opinions to himself…er…
Still, I like that the url has “slate.me” in it.

Your second point is valid though. Had the ‘tweet’ referred to a muslim politician’s religious views, I’m 100% certain that Nicky Campbell wouldn’t have gone near it.

He might have gone near it, but only to condemn it. No question.

What fascinates me is the keen interest that Beeboids such as our Nicky take in American politics.
My reasoning is that although they work in an atmosphere of supposed political neutrality the occasional semi-public jibe at US conservatives gives these seathing lefties a bit of an outlet, a guilty thrill. It is noticable that it is often done on Twitter where they hope to connect with the like-minded or as an aside to an audience that they imagine are mainly tuned in to their trendy-left mindset (I’m thinking of Bacon here with his recent anti-Palin antics).
Its similar to the way that at an Islington dinner party you can still have a laugh at Americans or Israelis so as to let out some of that carefully suppressed rascism.

And the attitude towards the US and our politics is exactly the same amongst all of them. We’re all still waiting for an intrepid defender of the indefensible to show us a single Tweet from a Beeboid from the other side of the political spectrum.

Twitter is completely irrelevant to most people.
