Well, I didn’t make it onto Sunday Morning Live. I was the “stand by” for Angela Epstein. Angela was able to make it so that was fine. However I was present in the Green Room with the former Bishop of Hulme, Stephen Lowe. Had an interesting exchange with him. He is the guy who is “not sure” if this is an afterlife, he is the guy who defended Druid William’s “Sharia” comments. He is a proud socialist, Labour Party member, and he wears the Red Poppy because, as he put it to me. he lacks the courage to wear the White Poppy. I suggested he should wear a white feather. The atmosphere rather cooled! 😉 but my coffee was hot.

White feather – love it !!!
The CofE strikes me as being very likie the BBC these days – a fairly cushy life, and an awful lot of leftie groupthink bordering on appeasement of factions they should be strongly opposing if they were representative of the people.

And acquiesing in the slaughter of Christian Brothers and Sisters in Muslim lands with their deafening silence.
If the left ever staged a coup in this country the Church of England would be a ready made puppet church of the dictatorship.

Stephen Lowe was indeed the Bishop of Hulme.
If anyone here knows the place, if ever there was a case of Socialism turned rancid and evil , then Hulme would be as good a place to see the consequences.
It`s next to Moss Side and Whalley Range…no wonder Manchester City moved out! All those millionaires cars outside with urchins “offering to mind yer car mister”…with Visa an option these days!
Lowe must have “ministered” there for years, but has clearly learned nothing about what the State gets up to, and the consequences of its virtuous interventions in each and every event.
Lowe is therfore EXACTLY the useful idiotic kind of prattler that the CofE insist upon these days…and now the BBC have moved up to Salford, I`m sure we will all get to know him and his views!
There may be no church for him to speak from, but there will be plenty mosques…and real evangelical alternative Christian demoniations to counter them.
Still…Salford will be importing lots of lavender scented rainbow logos in pastel shades ordered to fit any passing bandwagon or soapbox that the BBC requires of its gobshites( I quote Father Jack….closer to God than Lowe etc!).
The Beeb loves these spineless wonders that only wear a dogcollar because a neckbrace isn`t available from BUPA…and they can claim spiritual disability from the BBC alms bowl…Brands spitoon until recently!

Demoniations eh?…a new word…I meant denominations of course…or did I?

`Tis indeed a living language this English thing!
Maybe we could apply ourselves to thinking up plurals for NuLabor Revisionists who get first dibs on Blairs old sofa…or Mother Beckett as she used to be called.
Campbell, Prescott, Bryant, Leslie and other NuLab slime?….when in the BBC minibus or queuing up for Jim Naughtie…what should we callthem so we don`t need to use their names?
And what of Jowells, Harmans, Hewitts, Eagles, Coopers and the like…coven would be too spiritual, so need a word that Jenni Murray would recognise herself by!
Old copies of Roger Mellie and Viz may help me…

Oy!!! I object to that!

i don’t object to the white poppy, per se. Pacifism is a noble concept – my wife’s father is a self-proclaimed pacifist who served in the British Army for 30 years.
The problem is that, more often than not, white-poppy-bearers are rather like those who wear burqas: they use it to make a political statement and to draw attention to themselves – and then claim victimhood when people criticise them.

And Lowe, I beheld a social worker in religious garb, teaching that the Apostles of Barrabas and Judas were the conscience of the nation.

you know D…….
i don t know whats wrong with S.M.Live, apart from its lefty biased crap…..oops thinking aloud.. 🙂 i meant to say with the transmission
every other week it seems to break up during the program??.
and whats with the muslim women with no hijab…..shock horror, haven t el beeb strongly reprimanded her, thought they might have shown her with a black bar over her face, so they re seen to be culturally sensitive, or get aquil ahmed involved.
yet again a landslide on the public vote AGAINST el beeb bias, good job they got someone to state, bet all the callers are xenophobes??
shame you were not on D, in dire need of a big shake up.
white poppy.. 🙂 with mr choudary involved might as be a white flag

How can you possibly be a Christian and not believe in an afterlife?

JHT,
But many of the Bishops don’t even believe in God, let alone the Bible !

What a horrible way to spend a Sunday morning, trapped in a BBC studio with a socialist Bishop. Don’t think the coffee quite compensates !

Is Britain full? What an idiotic question , of course it is not anything like full. Have we more immigration than we want or need , is the real question.
The BBC had better be careful in framing questions like that else some more folks may just get to looking at who really owns Britain and calls ALL the shots here.

Too much of the Church establishment today act like Peter when he denied Jesus. They’re Christians when it’s convenient, and they’ll hide behind whatever excuse they can when it’s not. There is no spiritual element when the leaders lack spirit. What is really conveyed is their cowardice masquerading as something else.
Isn’t it time one of these ‘heroes’ verbally attacked Israel again?

Can’t wait for the caliphate. Imagine all those BBC/CoE atheists lined up in a public square…
