Question Time tonight comes from Newcastle upon Tyne.
On the panel we have Nadine Dorries, the Sec of State for Scotland and LibDem Michael Moore, the Shadow Chief Sec to the Treasury Rachel Reeves, neurobiologist Professor Colin Blakemore and Stephen Pollard, editor of the Jewish Chronicle.
Could be an interesting one this week.
TheEye is able to join the Two Davids…Vance and (hopefully) Mosque…in the Moderators balcony tonight, so we all look forward to seeing you at 10:30pm!
It’s a shame they couldn’t have had the American film maker Michael Moore rather than the Lib Dem Michael Moore – I bet he’d have been a lot more entertaining!

Does the lack of comments indicate that , like me , most people have given up watching the farce that is Question Time ?
Grant its beyond me how anyone can watch it. I always enjoy reading the live comments about it on this website but the day after it was on.

Usual stuff. Don’t both with trying to catch video of it anywhere. Below is a synopsis:
Plenty of oh woe is me from the audience which seems to have developed a nose rings dress policy if last two weeks are anything to go by.
Dimbleby doing his usual response to a meaty economic question by closing off by asking an audience member for a final comment in which he seems to pick some with no experience of economic realities to make some stupid comment.
Clapping at anything related to anti tories, anti cuts and promoting big spending
I d however have a recommendation. I think all Tory panel members should call an impromptu straw poll each week at some random point asking the audience, “who votes Labour?”
Wouldn’t work. Most of them probably lied to get in and will feel they should maintain the deception. Even though they know the BBC knows they were lying, but doesn’t care.
You may be right but I wonder once they get into the swing of each episode and the rabid stupidity kicks in I can’t help but think they might like to flash their teeth so to speak.

So nothing has changed since I last watched it over a year ago !
As soon as I saw that it was coming from the capital of the Geordie Nation, I knew that the audience would be stuffed with union pilgrims, quango queens and public sector puff adders looking for Jacob Rees Mogg.
As it was they got the decent Stephen Pollard and (relatively feisty) Nadine Dorries…but it`s Question Time…from the BBC…in Newcastle…so it`s a pointless show trial and a painted up shop window for the Second Coming of Mandelson.
That St James Park is to be renamed the Sports Direct Arena(announced yesterday) tells you all you need to know about how the Beebs influence has permeated most of the cultural thinking up there.
Ask Sting, Mark Knopfler and all the others who don`t dream of the ID card scheme being sent their way and so create loads of queues at Greggs once again!

I misread your phrase at first as “quango queers” !
Luckily I fell asleep after the first 10 minutes and didn’t wake up till the end. But in that short time I did notice that the people speaking from the audience didn’t have Geordie accents and wondered where they had been bussed in from. (Of course this could have changed once I was in the land of Nod).
Same audience as last week from London, same accents, same drone mind set; and just as bloody ugly!…… Ears still ringing from Any Questions audience seig hieling ten minutes ago……
