FROM PIG TO MAN…

Wonder if you share my..ahem..surprise…that Allegra Stratton, the former political correspondent at the Guardian, has been appointed political editor of the BBC’s Newsnight programme.
BBC..Guardian..BBC. Let me quote Orwell..

“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.”

Another hack from the achingly left-liberal outlook Labour supporting Manchester Guardian segues easily into the supposedly politically ‘unbiased’ BBC.

They don’t even make an attempt at pretending to be unbiased these days. I hope this blatent socialism is a sign that the end of the bbc is in sight.

it is so wearisome and predictable. The pool to be fished in has to have the same species. The BBC can not conceive of another way.

    Today Ms Stratton tweeted:

‘High executive pay ‘corrosive’ to the UK economy, report warns’

I wonder if that’s a theme that will get touched upon on Newsnight in the coming months…

Is this ‘Guardian’ archeology/anthropology person politically left-wing enough for Comrade Mason, Marxist Father of the NUJ chapel at ‘Newsnight’?

‘Newsnight’ comment?: ‘Well who did you expect would get the job, Peter Hitchens’?

      • George R says:

        A BBC statement?:

‘It’s not rocket science: BBC-NUJ is left-wing; ‘Newsnight’ is particularly left-wing; ‘The Guardian’ is left-wing, and we think that we’ve got the appointment pretty much right for our political circle.’

I’m not sure someone who wasn’t left wing would have fitted in at Newsnight.

Can you imagine a producer trying to tell Kirsty Wark to stop banging on about feminism?  It wouldn’t be pretty!  LOL!

CommentatorIntl The Commentator Poll results: 68% said they NEVER read the Guardian. 23% said ‘sometimes’ and 9% said they’re regular readers: cmntr.tc/mAusPs
I have often wondered how the process of selecting those who speak to… for the nation works.

Onemore example of the incestuous BBC/Guardian relationship.

On the plus side, at least the BBC has finally ditched it obsession with the whole ‘diversity’ thing, right?

I once destroyed one on the M3. I have never seen a car owner so happy. It was my fault I hit it at about 10mph in the rear with an XJ6. It just folded up -a bit like BL.
I hear they are now cultish. This shows the British have not lost their sense of humour.

    Lovely blog post.

But will this change things much? I remember Paxo having the balls to tell an FT person that they had been wrong about wanting us in the euro, but most of my current memories of newsnight are of the constant liberal/’progressive’ propaganda, and the open contempt for euro-sceptics, particularly the UKIP, and a smug refusal to engage with their arguments.

And that will continue for as long as it’s in the BBC’s interest to promote left-wing values.

Their long-term survival depends on people buying into the license fee model, rather than preferring to leave broadcasting to the free market…
