It is interesting to look at the BBC news web site to see what is happening around Britain. I’m bored with the lack of news from one particular northern city.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-16977072
‘Sir Paul McCartney gets star on Hollywood Walk of Fame’

In fact one more Beatles story this week and I’m likely to start to twist and shout. Give peace a chance.

Bring back the Twitter cat and the people lost in the fog.

Court cases can be fascinating. Today BBC Devon covers……
    ‘Joss Stone: ‘Murder plot’ trial’

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-16658478

The Beeb probably have to be a little careful since certain aspects of the story would be sub judice.

And there should certainly be some sensitivity toward the accused.

‘Exeter Crown Court heard both men have mental health issues.’

Still, I know we don’t live in some totalitarian state where secret trials take place.

So the Beeb cover the Joss Stone story….

‘Both men are charged with conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to commit robbery.’

You’ll never guess the name of one the accused…… ‘Kevin Liverpool, 34′.

How the bBC plays the violin of pity for Murdering scumbags.
Brian Shivers sentenced to 25 years’ jail for soldiers’ murders
A terminally ill man convicted of murdering two soldiers at Massereene Barracks, Antrim, has been told he must serve a minimum of 25 years in jail. Brian Shivers, 46, from Magherafelt was convicted last month of the murders of Mark Quinsey, 23, and Patrick Azimkar, 21. They were shot dead by the Real IRA as they collected pizza in March 2009.
The court heard that Shivers has cystic fibrosis and doctors believe he has only a few years to live.

Yet again the bBC defends its terrorist murderers by playing the victicm card for them, in this case describing IRA gunman Shivers as ‘A Terminally ill man who must serve 25 years behind bars’ I mean how dare they, the injustice and I am sure the bBC will go out of its way in which to ensure this poor ill man is released to spend the rest of his life with his loved ones. (Around 25 years on past accounts)
According to the bBC this poor man has only a few years left, the Irish independent reports he has around 5 years left and according to the facts anybody who is terminally ill has less than 6 months left.
6 months but the bbC says this man is terminally ill

Yup, a real victim, anybody want to take bets this scum bag is still alive in 25 years time. I suppose his new medical treatment of  receiving hot protein injections in the prison showers will do wonders for his health.

Apologies if this has been covered already (I haven’t visited often enough recently to be up to speed…) but here’s a recent, glaring example of the BBC suppressing vital information so as not to harm its program for gradual revolution

    Compare this –

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-16964808

    with this –

    http://mancunianmatters.co.uk/content/09022320-man-charged-race-hate-attack-against-hyde-teenager

The latter still fails to explicitly identify the accused’s origins but does at least mention the Race Hate angle which in other circumstances the BBC would lead with very very prominently

Schools closed, roads in chaos and why? Because of a maximum of 3 inches of snow on the ground

    Unbelieavble.

I was particularly alarmed by the recent Met Office ‘yellow snow warning’.

As I recall it was Frank Zappa who first raised concerns about this.

Presumably the latterday vogue for keeping Huskies and similar Dogs as pets in the UK is occasioning this in the present cold snap. If a street-vendor offers you lemon slush at a too-cheap-to-pass price, walk on by.

So saying prayers before council meetings is illegal. Does this mean that Giles Fraser will have to give up some of his Thought For The Day slots to Clive Bone?

Only the brave would bet against it.

Mark Thomson, Director General of the BBC to the Leveson Inquiry:

In answer to a question concerning the concept of public interest….

‘I would say that the exposure of a single crime meets my test of  – I mean, in a sense, any crime potentially…’

Our Mark is about as concise as very thick thesaurus which is trying not to be caught out, but I think we know what he meant to say. Pity the BBC don’t seem to stand by that definition of the public interest.

Dear Mark, please fix it for me to hear about events in Liverpool.
