GOD SAVE THE QUEEN?

I see that thousands of BBC staff are to be balloted for strikes over pay, with unions warning of disruption to coverage of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations if action goes ahead.

Members of unions representing journalists, technicians and other employees will vote in the coming weeks, with the result due on May 21. The unions would have to give seven days’ notice of any action, but they would have time to call strikes over the June weekend of events.

I say let them all go on strike, their perfect right. Then sack them all. Our right as the people who fund them.

Striking BBCers after more money?…..Just like the poor, disadvantage rioters who were forced to loot and burn down buildings by the greed and rampant consumerism that they have been hoodwinked into believing will lead to a more fulfilled life by the dark forces of a corrupting Capitalist society.

Greed…that’s what it is! They just want more STUFF!

Ken Livingstone will be demanding they’re strung up alongside the bankers anytime now…..that’s the tax dodger Ken!

Any chance that they will ensure a blackout for the Olympics?
    I`d vote for that !

This action shows the union and presumably it’s members in a very poor light. Mean spirited they are. I suppose they would dearly love to disrupt coverage of the Jubilee – a bit too elitest and far too British. Remind me again just how rare one is . Hardly an everyday event is it?
World class broadcaster. ? You have to be on acid.
No doubt ITV will make the best of a real opportunity. Not forgetting the hated SKY.
    Let them strike.

I’d rather sack all the useless, incompetent and overpaid bankers who are funded by the taxpayer to recklessly gamble

The trickle down theory has been proven false and tax breaks should no longer be given to the rich.

…just leaving you with a small matter of a large hole to fill for the Exchequer, as no more financial services sector = £34 billion p.a. less taxes available for squandering on public sector pensions and the rest. And, oh, those incontinent spenders who took out 120% mortgages with Northern Rock, where do they fit in to the equation? Greedy bankers, yes, but not without greedy (Labour) government and greedy individuals – all must share the blame.

I seem to recall the news strike a few years ago. I started to listen to LBC. I’m still listening to LBC (and I don’t live in London).

As for the Jubilee coverage I’ll watch sky as I did for the royal wedding. The BBC will not be missed.

Sky News has the superb Alastair Bruce as their Royal commenter for these occasions. He’s unbeatable, as is Sky’s coverage of big events like this.

Sky News isn’t perfect but it makes BBC news look like a childrens program. If you don’t agree then don’t fund it. There is precious little on telly worth watching in anycase! If you want to see how much of your life you are wasting watching TV >> try a little experiment, next time a program such as Horizon is on, try following by listening to the sound without watching the screen you will then realilse how slow the “data” rate is. Radio has no where to hide and is forced to be more honest and no license is needed for Radio so you can’t loose !.

You’ve got to wonder how the BBC are going to cover their Jubilee strike using their Television footage.
Or will it be a case of :
The BBC has learnt that alot of people have gathered in London to see something, which of course is of no consequence to us here in the studio.
Meanwhile, as our brave Republican operatives have refused to film any of it as they are making a stand against having to live on the breadline, we can show you a few “stills” of them in a Wine Bar planning their next move.

I have to admit here that I hope they do disrupt this event. ERII has nothing to celebrate. Her signature is all over the treason that handed over this country to Brussels. Despite this promise

Queen: I solemnly promise so to do.
Archbishop: Will you to your power cause Law and Justice, in Mercy, to be executed in all your judgements?
    Queen: I will.”
