Labour are demanding that bankers be prosecuted under criminal law for their actions…..unfortunately because of a failure to impose and implement sufficiently rigorous regulations on banks by Ed Balls when he was in charge of this sector the banks cannot be charged under criminal law….because the laws don’t exist, as admitted by one of Labour’s very own Lord’s…..and, as yet, completely ignored by the BBC.
The BBC does ask:
‘Who was responsible?’ for the Banks actions. The answer……
Mr Cameron said “the whole management team have got some serious questions to answer. Let them answer those questions first.
“Who was responsible? Who was going to take responsibility? How are they being held accountable?”
Labour party leader, Ed Miliband, said: “This cannot be about a slap on the wrist.
“The people that have done the wrong thing in this case should face the full force of the law… including criminal prosecutions.”
No sign of this part of the story on the BBC for some reason:
Barclays Libor scandal: Ed Balls ‘failed to regulate banks’
Ed Balls has been accused of failing to regulate banks effectively at the time of the Barclays rate rigging scandal as a senior Labour politician admitted: “It’s our fault”.
In the House of Lords, Labour’s deputy chief whip, Lord Tunnicliffe, admitted his party was responsible for gaps in the law.
Lord Tunnicliffe said: “Criminal sanctions are extraordinarily difficult to bring about because of the burden of criminal law.
“It is fair to say though that you can’t find them in the current legislation. And, yes, OK, it’s our fault.” He added quickly: “I hope my leaders don’t hear me say that.”
BALLS, MILIBAND and BBC try to censor that Barclays Bank’s chicanery and deceit took place between 2005-2009, under their LABOUR government.

Yes, just read it…puts a different perspective on things…if Barclays hadn’t lied about their situation they would have gone belly up with all the other banks…and then needed a huge bailout.
Which possibly puts a different light on all those accusations of how much ‘we’ have lost from their market manipulation.
Suspect no where near what could have lost.

ITV and C4 report the failings occurred under Labour, but on the BBC Labour spokesman demand action and are allowed free rein to create the impression that the Tory government is to blame. No challenge from the BBC. Anyone watching the BBC who did not have some background knowledge would come away with the false impression of Tory blame. The BBC cannot be unaware of this.

The BBC sleight of hand – now you see it, now you don’t. Or, in the case of Labour malpractice, you never see it in the first place. Thank God for this website and its vigilant contributors.

‘The BBC cannot be unaware of this.’
Maybe the cherry vulture flock can show differently? Or are they on another lack of awareness session..
‘See this? No… full marks, Jeremy’

There needs to be some mechanism to bring the main players in an administration to account in the courts. We all know that the blair/brown years (1997-2010) rank among the most ignoble in our country’s history. And yet, rather than the perpetrators of the wickedness (financial, educational, immigrational, EUpolitical, etc) being punished for what they have done, the majority of them are allowed to proceed as though nothing wrong has been done. We see Mr Blair in the press saying he’d like to be PM again. We see Mr Campbell being interviewed on the (sodding) bbc as though he is a normal person with no history of lies, bullying and deceit. We see Gordon Brown and Mr Mandelson and Mr Balls and Ms Cooper-Balls and all the other odious entities who conspired to ruin our wonderful country still parading themselves before us at every turn and nothing has been done to them. In normal, olden, times, they’d have had a red hot poke shoved up their collective arses and the normal peoples of our country would have declared a national holiday to celebrate their inglorious demise.

There must be some upside to England crashing out of the Euro football.
One positive note is that Beeboid Nicky Campbell’s sojourn to Eastern Europe has been cut short. Back in Salford this morning and to cheer himself up he sings along to that old Labour refrain : ‘Let’s all sing about David Cameron’s support for light touch regulation’. (repeat 4 times).
Then Nicky and playmate Rachel Burden get hot under the collar about Balotelli whiping his shirt off – but what about those Sky commentators who got the bullet for sexist remarks? Ah but you see it’s different for girls. Haven’t you heard BBC Wimbledon coverage?

Is Nicky suffering from dementia; should it not be ‘Brown and Balls support for light touch regulation’
