Here’s a link to the BBC’s full and frank report on the Bulgarian “bomber”. (Their quotation marks not mine – like there is some question that when a man blows himself up along with innocent people, he is – not to put too fine a point on it – a BOMBER)
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-18909642
But what’s this? The suicide bomber was a former Gitmo prisoner? Could he have lied when he said he had nothing to do with Al Queda? Imagine that! A soldier of God caught in a lie? Heaven forbid!

Is this missing fact from the BBC report again evidence that they have been caught with their pants down defending the indefensible?

According to BBC received wisdom, then, he’d be an innocent lamb who was radicalized by his wrongful and illegal incarceration and torture at Gitmo. It’s Bush’s fault!!!

The Norfolk police have given up on identifying the Climategate hacker, so expect the next set of emails from the University of East Anglia, including emails ordering the BBC not to allow any of the Cosmoclimatology scientists in Denmark or at CERN to have any say on the BBC.

I’m curious how many complaints went in for the BBC to make these changes in their Olympic profiles (see earlier posts in this Open Thread):
Palestine is recognised as a competing country by the IOC but is not recognised as a modern state.
    Key Facts
    Intended seat of government
East Jerusalem. Ramallah serves as administrative capital.

    Israel
    Seat of government
Jerusalem, though most foreign embassies are in Tel Aviv.

Israel complained, apparently. But like a child with Tourette’s, the BBC just had to keep it’s political line in there somewhere – as if we don’t notice. Is it arrogance or plain stupidity that makes them do it?

Britain’s first black community in Elizabethan London

Walk out of Aldgate Tube and stroll around Whitechapel Road in east London today, and you’ll experience the heady sights, smells and sounds of the temples, mosques and curry houses of Brick Lane – so typical of modern multicultural Britain. My first thought was but they are not ‘black’. My second was not everywhere in Britain.

Michael Wood is apparently equally confused. Most of us tend to think that black people came to Britain after the war – Caribbeans on the Empire Windrush in 1948, Bangladeshis after the 1971 war and Ugandan Asians after Idi Amin’s expulsion in 1972.

Doesn’t the BBC usually label them Asians? I guess they are Black, now.

Anyone see the report last night on Newsnight about Yemen, one of the most backward, retarded countries on the planet? I say ‘report’, but it was really an Al Beeb charity appeal for gullible westerners to yet again give money to a starving Muslim country. It’s starving by its own hand because it’s a backward Islamic state, but Al Beeb will never say it. And poor little Abdullah (‘slave of Allah’, but he doesn’t know it yet, poor bast*rd) kept being rolled out to tug on the gullible western heart-strings.

Muslims keep telling us that everything is allah’s will. So leave them to it…it’s what he wants. Who are we to interfere with allah’s will?

    More multi-culti mongrel nation bullshit.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-18903391

The “magazine” features are always riddled with a left-wing agenda, andthe links are always hovering on the “News” page so that presumably you will read their subtle implications as fact.

Some highlights from this piece are…
“Walk out of Aldgate Tube and stroll around Whitechapel Road in east London today, and you’ll experience the heady sights, smells and sounds of the temples, mosques and curry houses of Brick Lane – so typical of modern multicultural Britain. ”

“Sadly, their own story, in their own words, is lacking, but by the time we reach the 18th Century, we have the remarkable works of prose, poetry and music written by black Britons, among whom the likes of Olaudah Equiano, Ottobah Cugoano and Ignatius Sancho deserve their place in any list of Great Britons.”

Be sure to add those names to your list won’t you my dears.

Surprised they never managed to shoehorn Mary Seacole in there somewhere.

I haven’t had time to pay attention the the BBC News Channel today, but has anyone noticed any speculation from the usual Beeboid suspects that the mass murderer in last night’s awful incident in Colorado was a right-winger? Or are they…..*ahem*…..waiting for confirmation of real facts before “reporting”?

No mainstream US news outlet I’ve seen so far has provided proof of any motive yet. Either way, you can bet that Mark Mardell WON’T be trying to dissuade people from jumping to conclusions this time, as he did with the Ft. Hood killings.
