A snippet from ‘Morning Reports’ (5 mins 20 secs) on 5Live which seems to be the BBC creche for young communists finding their feet and proving themselves loyal fellow travellers.
The talk is about the Hillsborough Inquiry findings to be published today…..the BBC interviewer decides it’s all a conspiracy by government and police to hide the truth:
‘One hope is they find evidence of a cover up by police and government to divert attention from what went wrong…do you think it realistic that information like that will be released or could someone have got to it and prevented it coming out?’
We now know the police certainly were covering things up but that there is no evidence of government doing so. The BBC seem quite happy pre-empting the inquiry and coming up with their own version…could it be because the Government of the day was lead by Mrs Thatcher?…and then go on to suggest that the inquiry itself is a white wash or has been nobbled by ‘someone’.
Nice when the BBC invents news and rewrites history to suit itself.
Those of us who live in northwest England have had this sort of propaganda in local bBBC ‘news’ for the last 23 years as they act as the unquestioning mouthpiece of Hillsborough campaign groups.
They’ll never whinge alone.

As I`ve said elsewhere….let`s hope that the likes of Blunkett and Heffer get hauled up before enquiries as Labour toadies on the make back in the late 80s.
If they had no knowledge of the police , the local press or those well-stuffed Labour councils fighting the poll tax at the time…I`d be surprised.
Or will it all be Thatcher fault for diverting much-needed ambulances, so she could get her side of salmon suitable chilled?
I`d like to see that the BBC were saying about Liverpool fans back then…any clips or transcripts yet from Tony Gubba and the like?…again, I doubt that they`ll be getting broadcast…

The BBC’s headline said it all: “Cameron apology over Hillsborough”
Because, as we all know, the present government was directly responsible for both the disaster and its cover-up, er, wasn’t it?
Even the vile Independent had the integrity to go with the headline: “The truth at last”, choosing not to slur Cameron and the ‘evil coalition’ by implication and association.

A meaningless apology by a self-serving politician for an event which occurred while he was still in short trousers. I’d like to see him apologise for events that *were* his responsibility: eg. the riots, uncontrolled immigration, the murder of Gadaffi and the UN ambassador, the ongoing pointless deaths of our boys in Afgan ett… Instead he prefers to apologize for things which had nothing to do with him, the slimy fat shit.

No way should the government not say sorry, what ever is done by organisations paid for by the tax payer, the government of the day does need to express the sentiments that are required. Shame this never is extended to good ol’ auntie…

As Liverpool fans are now officially perfect this probably didn’t happen-http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/news/uk/article1914866.ece.

From the Times.
23 May 2007-Liverpool fans clash with police outside ground.
25 May 2007-Uefa blames Liverpool fans after Athens chaos and teargas – ‘unfortunately (fans without tickets) went to the stadium and they went earlier than people with valid tickets.’ Recommended reading for those of us who don’t buy the ‘all Liverpool fans are innocent’ line.

Doyle, not only that but even all this new evidence of police and everyone else to blame is all AFTER the event (ambulances etc). The big problem I have is that the whining scousers still refuse to accept ANY BLAME AT ALL for what happened; until they do I have no sympathy except for the people they helped kill and their families.

Can’t read it, it’s a paywall. Will say though, those people did not crush themselves, nor did the police crush them. The police did not shut gates early enough, Liverpool ‘fans’ were rushing in, packing in from behind. Result, crush deaths, Liverpool ‘fans’ caused those deaths, didn’t mean to, but they did, fact.

I sense this sad story being turned into a daily 2 minute hate against the then Thatcher government and Police authorities – egged on by the BBC PC thought police. Any attempt to suggest the tiniest degree of culpability among the drunken yobs pushing at the back of the crowd is being ruthlessly expunged from the comments on all DT articles. It seems the only politically acceptable thought is that it was all 100% the fault of the Police – a line which the gutless Tories are happy to surrender to the left.

“A snippet from ‘Morning Reports’ …”, on 5Live radio at 5 o’clock in the morning! Do you hear the sound of scraping?
“the BBC interviewer decides it’s all a conspiracy by government and police to hide the truth: ‘‘One hope is they find evidence of a cover up by police and government…’ ”
“The BBC seem quite happy pre-empting the inquiry and coming up with their own version…”
Total garbage.
The interviewer was clearly referring to the hopes of the Hillsborough Campaigners.
Now we find that their concerns have been proved to be entirely correct – in contrast to David Vance who, on the 20th anniversary of the disaster, complained that;
“the relentless MOPERY emanating from Liverpool and the BBC’s slavish coverage of it was over the top.” [his emphasis]
Utterly, and depressingly, predictable that B-BBC should try and turn this into a story about the BBC.
Despite the revelation that police falsified witness statements and purposefully circulated lies about what actually happened; still, as I write this, various posters (Doyle et al.) would rather believe in the lies.
Yet another low point for this blog.

Quite right. Bias at 5 in the morning isn’t really bias.

Dez, stop it if I were you. You are looking more ridiculous with every rant.
You are looking particularly silly since you let slip that those anti-Israel posters were a deliberate plan to indoctrinate children with lefty evil.
What ‘anti-Israel posters’? I missed that one.

Somebody, in a different thread, had pointed out that his children had been shown left-wing posters in school, one was an Obama election poster and the other an anti-Israel one apparently showing those nasty Joos attacking children or whatever.
The poster did not supply any link but Dez immediately did (unbidden) whilst defending the “artwork” of the vile propaganda. By his intimate knowledge of the particular posters he accidentally proved that there is a deliberate campaign to indoctrinate schoolchildren. A real own goal by Dezzie.

To avoid confusion, the “poster” second word in the second para was referring to the person who made the original comment.

Demon, you are an idiot.
Even you could of guessed the Obama poster. Want to know how I found the Gaza poster? Here, try this:

Idiot? 🙂 I wouldn’t put “could of” into a sentence. That would be stupidity.
No, I couldn’t have guessed which Obama poster as I’m not interested in the pillock. As far as finding the other, evil, poster that you admire so much – it is irrelevant what site you got it from. More important that you knew which poster was being referred to – it completely validates my point that there is an orchestrated campaign to spread malicious lies and propaganda to young people. And that you are aware of this!

A few words of advice Dezzie old son:
You dug your hole in the other thread – best that you now lay down the spade.

Had to like your rant Dezzy as the more you do it the stupider you sound !
Th enquiry is a rewrite of history to exonerate another minority who won’t stop shouting yes 41 live could have been saved if this this and this happened but cause and effect if the idiots hadn’t acted the way the did then everyone of the 96 would have gone home that night they know that! and that is why the city is in possibly one of the most protracted episodes of denial in history !

Dez. Answer this simple question if you can.
How do 96 people get crushed to death in a football stand?
To make it easier I’ll give you a muliple choice.
A. Thatcher did it
B. The Police forcibly pushed the fans outside into the ground.
C. Fans outside the ground pushed their way into an already full stand.
D. Sheffield Wednesday sold too many tickets causing too many people to be in the stand.
E. Thatcher did it.

Well done for your post. A very, very hesitant and embarrassed Jack Straw was at again this morning, 7.15am on the Today programme. It was all Mrs. Thatcher’s fault. he said, by letting the Police think they were invincible and untouchable (not sure those were his exact words but it was what he meant) because the Conservative Government needed them to crush the miners. I suppose on that basis you might as well blame Arthur Scargill for forcing the Police to quell what was, effectively, insurrection. I’m afraid what we need now is another enquiry into how the Taylor and Stewart-Smith enquiries failed to get to the truth.

If I’m correct Straw even managed to pronouce Margaret Thatcher’s name in the Ben Eltonesque manner ‘Faaaatcher’. The assertion was unchallenged but was then incorporated into the immediate headlines at 8.00 am?
Also listening to the post-8.00 am discussion between the lefty-lawyers about police cover up, and state secretiveness I was wondering why no one suggested the need to investigate the police, CPS, social services, education services, and more importantly the BBC!!!! around the inept investigation and slovenly prosecution of the Muslim rape gangs of England? However, I’m sure deaths in police custody was mentioned.

The same Jack Straw who refused an enquiry?
Unchallenged smokescreen tactics combined with BBC Thatcher-bashing opportunism.
Shameful, cheap, biased broadcasting. In other words, business as usual.

Can somebody please explain to me why nobody is asking why football fans had to be contained within barriers in the first place?
And what happened at Heysel exactly?
I think you will find that if you look in your new and updated history books that Heysel was caused by South Yorkshire Police and Thatcher. In addition football fans were contained like that to protect them from South Yorkshire Police.
Now stop asking awkward questions and relax by watching “The One Show” and other mind numbing cr*p from your trusted state broadcaster.

Thanks.
So I suppose it was Thatcher who turned up in Bradford with a box of matches?
I’m getting the hang of it now.

Have you read the report? Might you do so before repeating the canard that it was the fans’ fault.
The evidence is unequivocal and your anger should be directed elsewhere
3 likes
So it was in a report? You mean a “report” like the Macpherson Report? That sort of report?
OK, three simple questions for you:
1. Who did the pushing?
2. Why were the fans caged in?
2. Why doesn’t it happen at cricket or rugby matches?

The bBBC is publishing more of the Hillsborough ‘justice’ campaigners’ propaganda.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-19592455 says Campaigners had called for Sir Norman (Bettinson), who has insisted the behaviour of some fans in the stadium made the job of the police “harder than it needed to be”, to stand down.
Actually, his statement says
Taylor was right in saying that the disaster was caused, mainly, through a lack of police control. Fans behaviour, to the extent that it was relevant at all, made the job of the police, in the crush outside Leppings Lane turnstiles, harder than it needed to be. But it didn’t cause the disaster any more than the sunny day that encouraged people to linger outside the stadium as kick off approached.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/9541008/Hillsborough-Sir-Norman-Bettisons-statement-in-full.html
Contrary to the bBBC report, Bettinson says nothing about fans in the stadium. He merely points out (not ‘insists’) that what happened outside the stadium (some fans turning up late and agitating to get in quickly) made the Police job harder. The bBBC is just repeating the campaigners’ lies.

This sounds like a very straightforward case of somebody lying and the BBC backing it up.
As there is no evidence provided to the contrary by our eagle-eyed cherry-pickers from Beebworld – especially Jim who has an encyclopaedic knowledge of every BBC utterance and claims to have read the report – we’ll take it as lies, and therefore clear evidence of bias.
