The BBC has a lengthy report on the ex-cop in LA who’s been on a minor killing spree. The BBC says this at the end:
The suspect’s rambling manifesto extends for more than 11,000 words and contains a number of allegations against former colleagues, together with reflections on his childhood.
The profanity-peppered rant finishes with praise for a range of public figures and celebrities, from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie to the actor Bill Cosby.
Well, I’ve just read some of it, and it’s far from rambling. It may not have much coherent structure overall, and mostly just moves from ground axe to ground axe, but it’s not like the guy sat down and wrote an outline before plunging into the essay, and handed in to an editor for review before publishing. There’s actually some very moving stuff in there, and some thoughts well worth considering; it’s not the typical nutbag rant.
But all that’s besides the point. What I’m here to focus on is what the BBC left out in that list of public figures and celebrities the killer praised. Here are some highlights:
Mia Farrow said it best. “Gun control is no longer debatable, it’s not a conversation, its a moral mandate.”
****
Sen. Feinstein, you are doing the right thing in leading the re-institution of a national AWB. Never again should any public official state that their prayers and thoughts are with the family. That has become cliche’ and meaningless.
*****
You disrespect the office of the POTUS/Presidency and Commander in Chief. You call him Kenyan, mongroid, halfrican, muslim, and FBHO when in essence you are to address him as simply, President. The same as you did to President George W. Bush and all those in the highest ranking position of our land before him. Just as I always have.
*****
You never questioned the fact that his former opponent, the honorable Senator John McCain, was not born in the CONUS or that Bush had a C average in his undergrad.
*****
You call his wife a Wookie. Off the record, I love your new bangs, Mrs. Obama. A woman whose professional and educational accomplishments are second to none when compared to recent First wives. You call his supporters, whether black, brown, yellow, or white, leeches, FSA, welfare recipients, and ni$&er lovers. You say this openly without any discretion. Before you start with your argument that you believe I would vote for Obama because he has the same skin color as me, fuck you. I didn’t vote in this last election as my choice of candidate, John Huntsman, didn’t win the primary candidacy for his party.
Huntsman was a pet candidate for Mark Mardell and few Beeboids, by the way. Hey, I wonder why the BBC isn’t labeling the killer a Republican, then? Here’s your chance, Beeboids.
He also has some kind words for Hillary Clinton and even abjures the President to stick to promises about transparency. I wonder why the BBC decided to ignore all this in favor of Gov. Christie and Bill Cosby? The content of his praise is the real point, not just the names. Bizarre, unless the Beeboids who put this together didn’t read it and just quoted off wire services or similar. Perhaps that’s also why they missed a good opportunity to suggest that he was driven to murder by what he clearly believes is the institutional racism at the LAPD.
Oh, and there’s a big section about how we desperately need stricter gun control. In fact, he even informs reports and police (his intended audience for this, I suppose) that they’ll find in his cache the same guns used in Sandy Hook. In other words, his murders are in part making a point about the need for more gun control. That’s also a very important part of his message the BBC simply doesn’t want you to know about.
Funny how there’s no astute analysis by the BBC about that. His rant may have been “peppered” with profanity, but no more so than your average BBC comedy panel. I guess they saw the photo of him right away, so no Beeboids had the chance to speculate on air that he was a white supremacist or Tea Partier or whatever.
In short, the BBC is definitely not trumpeting the fact that a pro-Obamessiah, gun control advocate went on a little killing spree.
The BBC love for all things Taleban extends to drama to, in tonight’s Silent Witness show, our heroes travel to Afghanistan and uncover abuse of sweet Taleban “militants” by nasty British contractors….follows on from Sunday’s Ripper Street exposing dodgy dealings in the Government War on Terror (in the 19th Century of course so no unintended parallels to now)!!
After years of politically lionising him, when will BBC-NUJ turn against him?:-
“‘Julian Assange thinks he’s above the law and tolerates only disciples who show unwavering devotion’: Jemima Khan turns against Wikileaks founder who cost her £20,000.
“Becomes first celebrity backer to criticise Wikileaks founder for jumping bail.
“Said she had gone from ‘admiration to demoralisation’ regarding the site.
“Miss Khan said its supporters were expected to follow in ‘cultish devotion’.
Likened Assange to Hubbard, the founder of the Church of Scientology.”
‘They’ should do something about Nicky Campbell
I have listened to a fair sample of this BBC presenter’s Radio 5 topical debate phone-ins. God help me. Sadly, I am also aware of his Sunday morning TV floor show. However, I can’t say that I have ever persisted with watching more than a quick gobbet of an episode of Campbell’s The Big Question. Just can’t stomach it with the pictures. I find his tanned preening self-righteous right-on Bambi-Blair-like appearance to be overwhelmingly too appalling for comfortable viewing.
I have previously highlighted Campbell’s irritating brand of feminism. Giggling along with the girls in the office his earnest arch feminist utterances come over like a desperate virgin newly arrived fresher attempting to score at a trendy left-wing university. I need only cite his appalling outbursts over the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year short list last time round. Dripping with agenda it was an embarrassingly awful low point for this sloganeering badge-wearing individual.
I am not particularly interested in his personal biographical details. However, I do know enough to notice when he pursues a line of argument motivated by self-interest. One example will suffice. During many debates around social, sexual and religious ideas he will – as something of a non sequitur – shoe-horn into the discourse his own heartfelt references to divorced couples.
But this is serious. Even a cursory observation of the debates chaired by this BBC man leave one in little doubt as to with which side of any issue he sides. That is invariably what one might reasonably term the LEFT side of every argument. And this within a BBC editorial structure which is supposed to be balanced and to reflect views fairly. But there is a malaise that runs deeper than the personality of the front man. Not only is it always obvious on which side Campbell sides but the editorial selection of callers put to air, the choice of expert contributors and the intermittent interjections blithely described as ‘texts we have received’ together enable the skewing of all debates – to the LEFT.
I hardly need detail how BBC phone-ins time and time again pit articulate left-leaning time-on-their-hands public service employed voices (given only the very vaguest of provenance by the BBC) against stumbling ill-educated visceral ranters. People very easily – and, as it happens, very often – summarily dismissed as bigots. It seems the only conservative voices available (or allowed) are typically from cab drivers apparently impatiently awaiting a change of traffic lights; duelling with an opponent (who has worked with…and knows… these kids) meanwhile comfy on her sofa enjoying a quiet inset day.
So the game is stacked against the right. So much we know. The game is now becoming sinister. Yesterday morning Campbell was luxuriating in the reflected glory of the Commons vote on same sex marriage. He casually referred to a side light on the news: ‘They have done some analysis of those Tory backbenchers who voted against….’ (I paraphrase only slightly). I didn’t catch who this mysterious ‘They’ might have been. Perhaps someone can help me out here?
Anyway I heard it as the sort of ‘they’ usually invoked by those very same impatient bigoted cab drivers on the wrong side of Campbell’s debates who might very likely exclaim ‘Oh yeah, and “they”’ should bloody well do something about it!’ Maybe Campbell’s BBC editors got their information from the Guardian or some other left-leaning source. He either did or didn’t attribute his source – I can’t say for sure not having heard the entire programme. The point is that he went on to inform his listeners that the nay sayers in Parliament (only the Tory ones, mind you) fitted a profile. They were male and they were older.
It may not be a progressive idea but historically after a victory in battle, the winning side often have not been content with the capitulation of their opponents – a slaughter followed.
I found Campbell’s comments here sinister and indicative of an onset of persecution aimed at those who have had the audacity to oppose this measure of which the BBC, Campbell and the left approved. I expect this pressure on opponents is also intended to serve as a warning to those considering whether to stand up to the next progressive equality measure. You may oppose but you will be profiled. Sadly I fear the wider battle is now lost. I fear the slaughter of the vanquished is now beginning.
