Obama Picks El-Erian to Lead Global Development Council
Wonder why Katty Kay picks a column by Obama man El-Erian to talk about the effects of Sequestration on US foreign policy….

El Erian on the sequester’s negative impact on American foreign policy, among other things http://t.co/NWXgzieBn1 via @FortuneMagazine
She could have chosen this revealing report on Obama’s foreign policy effectiveness…
Barack Obama a ‘dithering, controlling, risk-averse’ US president
Barack Obama is a “dithering” president whose controlling tendencies and extreme risk-averse attitude to foreign policy has damaged US interests in the Middle East, according to a new book by a senior former State Department adviser.
But she didn’t….which is why we get to read a piece praising Obama…‘The answers lie more in the political than economic domain……urgently anchored by a medium-term growth and job vision, such as the one the President has proposed to Congress.’ and condemning the Republicans blaming them for the political impasse.
Mardell also seems to have given the story about Obama a miss. Can’t imagine him being so slow off the mark with a similar tale about Bush.

Maoists and Obama?
Do you remember Anita Dunn. She’s the former White House staffer who said this to a group of high schoolers in June 2009:
‘The third lesson and tip actually come from two of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Zedong and Mother Teresa — not often coupled with each together, but the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is, you’re going to make choices. You’re going to challenge. You’re going to say, “Why not?” You’re going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before. But here’s the deal: These are your choices. They are no one else’s.
In 1947, when Mao Zedong was being challenged within his own party on his plan to basically take China over, Chiang Kai-shek and the Nationalist Chinese held the cities, they had the army, they had the air force, they had everything on their side. And people said, “How can you win? How can you do this? How can you do this against all of the odds against you?” And Mao Zedong said, you know, “You fight your war, and I’ll fight mine.” And think about that for a second.
You know, you don’t have to accept the definition of how to do things, and you don’t have to follow other people’s choices and paths, OK? It is about your choices and your path. You fight your own war. You lay out your own path. You figure out what’s right for you. You don’t let external definition define how good you are internally. You fight your war. You let them fight theirs. Everybody has their own path….’
Yes, she said that Mao Zedong – Chinese communist dictator, murderer of at least 45 million of his own people during the Great Leap Forward and at least 65 million people overall, the man behind the creation of the giant gulag that is North Korea, the evil monster behind the wipeout of his nation’s intelligentsia, the disgusting creature who passed 50 million Chinese through Soviet-style gulags – is one of her two “favorite political philosophers.” Not Aristotle. Not Plato. Not John Locke. Not Thomas Jefferson. Not even Bill Clinton or Karl Marx – Mao Zedong.
This was the person Obama chose to train him for his foreign policy debate.
Anita Dunn was the White House communications director at the beginning of Obama’s first term. She attacked Fox News as “opinion journalism masquerading as news” while appearing on CNN. She dismissed both Bill Ayers and ACORN as non-stories. After Glenn Beck ran the video of Dunn talking about Mao in an October 2009 broadcast, she left the White House in November 2009. But she returned to walk Obama through his answers on foreign policy.

Politicians and their aides say stupid things. If they are Republicans these statements are repeated to be ridiculed or to demand their resignation. but if they’re Democrats there is usually ‘nothing to see here’.

The BBC reports Kerry’s talks with Morsi as candid and the Obama administration is ready to provide finance for the Egyptian economy.

But not all of the Egyptians appreciate Kerry’s support for the Brotherhood.

Have to wonder what the BBC Photo Editors would do if such a photo was offered to them, especially given their ‘reaction’ to the underage marriage story initially featuring a brunette Britney from Essex (estimate only).

A black man with a white mother – so as white as he is black – neither view affects the fact that he isn’t a very good President and positively harmful for the whole world.

Obama prefers to describe himself as black. It ensures an almost 100% vote for him from black voters, gains a guilt vote from white liberals and protects him from the serious accusation that as he was brought up by his mother’s white parents and in Indonesia and received education at Hawaii’s most prestigious private school that he really has nothing in common with America’s black experience except some extra melonin.

One can only wonder what PR to BBC ‘reporter’ flunky call scored this… ‘story’.
Or, indeed, if the PR was actually not also employed by teh BBC. They seem to have a fair few.

Islamic persecution of Christians in Egypt continues. INBBC censors it.
Is it necessary to turn to Russian sources for this report?:-

As always, the trolls are unable to debate, so resort to defamation. Good thing you created a new email and moniker specifically to smear us, eh? So brave, so intelligent, such class….

Careful David, you are straying into more than one sentence and words in excess of two syllables.
The new, well, mayfly ones don’t like that either.
Interesting to wonder where those likes come from, though.

Just a little light relief to the general genuflecting by Al beeb on the ‘sad’ demise of another tin pot dictator Chavez, how about this comedy gold moment on Radio 4’s ‘Just a minute’:-

Only Marxist Brigstocke tried to deflect the obvious truism spouted out by mistake with the standard ‘Tea party’ joke. Pathetic!
By the way I see the ‘Now show’ has resorted to canned laughter because they have finally been found out; there is no actual humour in it’s content!

The BBC’s US President editor won’t like this at all. He’s told us more than once that the President does not “dither”, but is actually very thoughtful and deliberate, considering all the fact and angles before making decisions. He’s far more intelligent than opponents can grasp, you see.
Here’s Mardell defending the President against charges of dithering on Libya. One assumes that he’s simply unaware of all the goings on Nasr writes about. The only alternative is that he’s spinning for the White House. He has form on defending his beloved Obamessiah against these vicious charges, claiming that it wasn’t dithering, but merely His “pragmatism” people didn’t grasp.
Matt Frei (ex-BBC, former anchor of BBC World News America) once called Him a reluctant warrior.
Ex-Beeboid Katie Connolly (who has since made the lateral transition to working for a Democrat strategy think tank) once proclaimed that The Obamessiah was a cerebral centrist with a deep interest in world affairs. Two falsehoods in the same sentence.
And let’s hope that Nasr isn’t simply getting distracted by all the details from noticing the nuances of His finely-tuned brain.
The BBC isn’t going to acknowledge the existence of Nasr’s book any more than they acknowledged the existence of this one or this one.
Hillary Clinton said a while back that one of the reasons she didn’t want to endure a second term as His Sec. of State was because of the dithering.
There’s been loads more evidence detailed on this blog over the years, plenty of proof that the BBC keeps getting this horribly wrong.
