    Labour’s Open-Door immigration policy, 1997-2010.

BBC-NUJ now trying to presents its Labour Party as pro-control of immigration levels!

“Yvette Cooper: End student visitor visa loopholes”
    [Excerpt]:-
…”Ms Cooper admitted that Labour had not always got it right on the issue while in government and the impact of immigration must be properly managed so it was ‘fair for all’.

Yes, Ms Cooper (Balls) in fact got it WRONG, millions of times: for the number of immigrants Labour got in, to colonise Britain.
And like Tories, Lib Dems (and BBC-NUJ), Labour is still currently campaigning to get 80 million Muslim Turks into the E.U , with no way of controlling the number who come to stay in UK.

If there is anyone in any doubt about bias on the BBC they need look no further than Evan Davis’ interview with Yvette Cooper, then the Coalition minister, on immigration on this morning’s Today at 7.30.

Cooper was treated to the usual cosy chat – Davis’ tone warm (ewww), coaxing, encouraging. Not a single challenge in sight on Labour’s immigration record, how or why net immigration leapt from 40,000 a year to 150,000 a year in the space of 18 months after their election – well before they invited the Eastern European invasion. Funny, too, how they never, ever mention immigration from the Indian and african sub-continents, or the ‘rubbing the Right’s nose in diversity’ (their only success story in 13 years) because – surprise, surprise – Labour don’t want to go there either.

Then switch to the coalition minister; frosty tone, constant interruptions – in fact, you’d think it was the Tories who were responsible for irreversibly changing the face of Britain between 1997 and 2010.

But this is par for the course for Davis. He knows what he is doing and he knows he can get away with it because, folks, he’s one of The Untouchables.

    Biased, Biased Cads*.

    Labour immigration ‘apology’
BBC sponsored satirists on HIGNFY and the Now Show must be sharpening their pencils even as we speak….
    Well… perhaps not.
So let’s give them a few ideas – gratis

Smug lefty comic actor number one – playing the middle aged BBC smug lefty interviewer (think John Bird from Bird & Fortune) : So, shadow minister, tell me, are you apologising for having got your immigration policies wrong?

Second smug lefty comic actor (who else but David Schneider playing some Miliband or other) : No, our immigration policies were correct.

BBC Interviewer : So what is it that you have apologised for?

Miliband : We have apologised for not listening.

BBC Interviewer : So you have apologised for not listening to people who told you that your policy was wrong?

Miliband : Yes that’s right. We were wrong not to have listened.

BBC Interviewer : So if you had listened – you would have changed you policy?

Miliband : No our policy was correct.

BBC Interviewer : So you say your policy was correct – you’re not apologising for that. But if you could turn back the clock you would have listened to people who told you that your policy was wrong – but you would not have changed your policy?

Miliband : Yes. In a nut shell….yes. But it’s certainly not Labour policy to turn back the clock.

Interviewer : So if you could turn back the clock – which you don’t want to do…. you would not change your policy – but you would listen to people warning you not to do what you did – before doing again what did anyway?

Miliband : Yes, but I think we should remember that there is a European aspect to this. You see people may complain about Eastern Europeans claiming child benefit for their families back home – but if British people want to be able to retire to Spain and continue receiving their British pensions and winter fuel allowances… well I’m sure you can see the fairness in that?

Terrible news about the young school girl savagely stabbed on a Birmingham bus in broad daylight… the tragedy is made worse by the BBC’s predictable omission of the perpetrator’s ethnicity. West Midland’s Police are looking for a young black male but you wouldn’t know this from the BBC’s reports. If it were the other way round it would yet another racist attack.

James Landale on the 6 o clock news described the Huhne case as ‘a tragedy’. I’m sorry but it is not. They broke the law and got found out – so it was a CRIME.

Funny, too, how they never, ever mention immigration from the Indian sub-continent and Africa. But then it’s no real surprise as Labour don’t want to talk about that either, just the Eastern Europeans the EU forces us to have (so not their fault, really, eh?).

Then switch to the coalition minister; frosty tone, constant interruptions – in fact, you’d think it was the Tories who were responsible for irreversibly changing the face of Britain between 1997 and 2013.

This blatant contrast in the two different interviewing styles adopted by Davis – soft for Labour and harsh for the Tories – is now the norm for him. He tested the water a few times, got away with it and now carries on with impunity because, folks, no-one’s going to stop him.

Two images of a suspected child murder in Birmingham. Whilst quite rightly protecting the man’s privacy for now, the Daily Mail image still shows us that he’s a “youth” On the other hand the BBC deliberately chose a useless photo with his head bowed which would make such identification difficult. They then completely obliterate the few remaining parts of the photo that might show skin tone thus hiding any link to the wonders of diversity.

    Guido,

I think this article in the guardian proves that the BBC is not independant from the guardian as it should be under its charter and shows it bias”
Followed by brief account of Guardian article about torture in Iraq under Petraeus’ watch, with accompanying documentary vid seems to be a joint Guardian / BBC Arabic exercise, containing such lines as:
“The allegations, made by US and Iraqi witnesses in the Guardian/BBC documentary, implicate US advisers for the first time in the human rights abuses committed by the commandos. ”
“The Guardian/BBC Arabic investigation was sparked by the release of classified US military logs on WikiLeaks…”

Is this the same BBC whose ‘comedians’, HIGNFY etc are constantly slagging off The Mail?

      Where’s the ‘impartiality’ then?

    What BBC QT bias?

    From The POV messageboard:

“I notice the applicants to be in the audience for Question Time have to confirm if they are members of a political party and wonder how many normally are? I ask this because someone involved in John O’Farrell’s Eastleigh by-election campaign proudly condemned UKIP as “disgusting”. This lady is South East Regional Policy Co-ordinator at The Labour Party… which is not going to be reflected in the application, but the lengthy opportunity she was given to express her views and that Dimbleby insisted her point be directly addressed, made me curious as to quite how the audience invitations are decided.”
