Climate sceptics have been debating the science and the policies of climate change…and Al Jazeera filmed it showing that Sceptics do have valid questions and are perfectly capable of questioning the science and climate policies in a credible manner and should have a place in any discussion about climate change on the BBC:
‘This series of events is a unique chance to be part of the audience of televised events on one of the world’s most influential independent broadcasters.’
Kiss Your World Goodbye
Is climate change fact…. or fiction?
Join Mehdi Hasan this Friday as he challenges the world’s leading climate sceptic, atmospheric physicist and MIT Professor Richard Lindzen. Also joining the discussion is Professor Myles Allen (Oxford)
“One can see no (global) warming since 1997” said Lindzen. “Even if everyone cut emissions in the whole world, it wouldn’t make a lot of difference.”
Agree or disagree?
This event will be televised later on Al-Jazeera English
When you consider the outcome as revealed by Bishop Hill you might think the BBC would not be too keen to report this or engage further with sceptics:
‘There was in fact a great deal of agreement on many aspects of the debate – for example, everyone agreed that Hasan’s “97% of scientists” line was irrelevant (and as Barry Woods explained later isn’t true anyway). Perhaps more importantly, everyone also seemd to agree that current policy choices are foolish, the main differences being over whether emissions reductions are required.’
Meanwhile, British people are paying for subservience to E.U (and BBC-NUJ approved) energy ‘policy’:
” Eco madness and how our future is going up in smoke as we pay billions to switch from burning coal to wood chips at Britain’s biggest power station”
By CHRISTOPHER BOOKER.

Oh goodie!
When Islam gets accused of being Climate Change deniers, this could be great fun!
After all, Mo didn`t say a peep about Carbon Capture!
Therefore it`ll be haram!
Oh goodie!
Fatwa for UEA please Mr Khameini…if you want some signatures for that petition that triggers an official request for suchlike, then I`ll learn my name in Arabic for this one occasion only.
Scorchio…and unlikely to get any “less scorchio” over there anytime soon.
Greenies v Islam…can they both lose?
Let`s hope so!

I was under the impression Al Jazeera was staffed largely by former bBC journalists who had taken the King’s dirham. Having been brought up on a diet of bBC Soylent Green I expect the poor dears no longer know which side they are on. The truth would make a pleasant change from pushing The Narrative.

I’m surprised he didn’t blame it all on the cattle producing methane (i.e. infidels breaking wind)

I’m surprised that this hasn’t happened already. The global caliphate project is only made possible by oil money,I guess that while the AMG scam attacks western capitalism it also has the potential to husband oil reserves ensuring a long term income for the muslim world
So what has changed? The wonder fuel of the21st century,shale-gas I presume.Which as well as reducing Americas CO2 output has made them near fuel self sufficient and could do the same for western Europe if the greens don’t have anything to say about it.
If china finds its own reserves of shale-gas I might reconsider my position on divine intervention.

I’m no fan of the BBC, but Al Jazeera is a very, very dodgy news service.
For one thing it is state controlled by a state which jails people for disagreeing with it – see the case of poet Muhammad Ibn al-Dheeb al-Ajami.

Yes the BBC is quite different .Far from being state controlled the BBC controls the state.

So it’s scary that the BBC even makes Al Jazeera seem moderate.

It’s all a bit reminiscent of when Minister Friedrich von Schrötter [apparently it wasn’t Voltaire] remarked, “Prussia was not a country with an army, but an army with a country.”
