No wonder John Humphrys is so grumpy in the morning…he obviously doesn’t feel able to have any breakfast from the staff canteen when at work:
Standards have sunk to a new low at the BBC as workers in the News Department are knee deep in battling a hygiene crisis.
Health and safety experts have stepped in to check everyone is toeing the line, putting up a sign in the new Broadcasting House offices’ kitchen warning staff not to wash their feet in the sink.
How dare the BBC lecture hospitals etc etc….
Who the f**k have they got working for them or do they just let tramps in off the street to use the facilities? I wonder if they have another sign saying “this drinking fountain is not as bidet’?

I suspect that the followers of a “certain religion” do it before they pray. I suppose they could always stick their feet down the bog and flush it!

Oh dear. So Muslims think that it’s unhygienic to touch a dog but washing your feet in the sink is OK ?
It seems Muslims also have an interesting way of dealing with the problem of touching a wet dog…
“2 – The ruling on touching a dog
If you touch it when it is not wet, then your hand does not become impure, but if you touch it when it is wet, this means that the hand becomes impure, according to the opinion of many scholars, and the hand must be washed seven times, one of which should be with earth. ”
I hope they check that the neighbor’s cat hasn’t just crapped in the area of the garden from where they grab the earth.

If you think that’s bad, you should go into the kitchen of muslim restaurants. And look out for the little bottles of water lined up on the worktops. What are they for? Washing their hand after having a crap. Yes, next to the food they are preparing for you.

If anyone is dumb enough to use their restaurants they deserve everything they catch!

They probably won’t know what meat they’re being served:

Perhaps that might explain this?

That doesn’t seem to have been reported by the BBC either.

I’ve just reread the sign…they actually supply foot wash facilities, who the hell comes to work to wash their feet? If their feet are that dirty, surely it’s about time for a bath.

BBC staff like to wash their feet on the odd occasion that they’re not in their mouth.

I imagine a lot of their artistic staff do a bit of barefooting (dancers and the like) and need/want to wash their feet afterwards. Perfectly normal.
I have worked in places where they have full shower facilities and none of the staff did any job that got them the least bit dirty.
Someplaces even have fully furnished flats …
