‘The extremists are the media, the BBC…who have bandied about the word ‘racist’ in an attempt to suppress any opposition to the Third World colonisation of Britain, in effect creating a society whose every second thought is now race…Things like the increasing imposition of multicultural totalitarianism & the Woolwich atrocity that it pathetically failed to stop are not accidents. They are the symptoms of a deep disease of the political system. This disease is extremism, but not as the mass media uses the term.’

There was a lot of discussion on the BBC yesterday about how difficult it would be to stop hate preachers and how banning them and their organisations would be a blow against an open society.
It is staggering that the people spouting this are exactly those who have succeeded in making it impossible to discuss the problems we have in Britain with Islam and with immigration, without being called a racist and visited by the police. So much for free speech!
There is no doubt that many white people in Britain are inhibited from saying what they think because they fear the law. A law which doesn’t seem to apply to Muslims.
If we had a respectable Front Nationale Party, as they have in France, I think it would sweep the board. Even UKIP , let alone the Tories, are too timid to really tackle immigration and the problems caused by Islam. But of course the BBC and the liberal left elite would do everything necessary to bury any attempt to form such a party. So a huge section of the British people are not represented on the most important issue affecting them , in fact they are not even allowed to express a view, and their License Fee is used to distort or cover up the truth and to provide apologies for terrorists and preachers of hate.
I wish some one from the liberal left or the BBC could explain why this is? Mind you, it is interesting because you don’t often see a nation commit mass suicide.

that preachers use, the internets uses all over the world – there is the fascism – there is the hate – there is the imperative.
When dregs of scum like him, or the islamic nutter who has just come back from Mecca and perpetrated another attack in France, yep after the soldier was stabbed in the neck, after the murder in Woolwich.

Did she really speak with someone who sent jihadis to Bosnia way back when? If so, that puts the lie to the whole “US/UK foreign policy is the root cause” Narrative. We were saving Mohammedan lives by the tens of thousands there. We got attacked anyway.

Over the last few days I have listened to many BBC interviews with people of the Islamic faith who insist that violence is incompatible with their religion. Fair enough. I would suggest that the interviewers then press them with the question: do you renounce those specific passages in Islamic texts which call for violence against non believers? A simple question which resolve many misundestandings.

One might get the retort that similar verses exist in the bible. This would no doubt be considered an adequate response by the questioner. The fact that such passages exist in the OLD Testament and not the teachings of Christ always seem to be ignored.

There is only one verse that is common to both the Bible and the Koran.
The Muslims pinched it, and it`s relatively safe.
Unless , being a Muslim YOU think that YOU`RE the Righteous ones referred to!
        Unsurprisingly, Muslims do just that.
        So -more trouble I`m afraid.
And only a fool would dare to equate Sura 5, 8 and(especially in current times) Sura 9 with anything to be found in the Bible.
A few semitic verses you`ll need a fine toothcomb for in one Book…as opposed to whole screeds and diatribes of blood-curdling vengeance and threats to the untermenschen in the other.
As if that`ll stop the BBC from saying they`re just as bad!
Anybody heard from Shami, Trevor, Lee or George yet?….or is it one of their times for cool reflections?

There are no similar verses which are in the Old Testament so far as I’m aware. I’d love to see references to such verses, because the lefties love to trot this out.

My usual response is imagine that we have a Muslim prisoner I’m prosecuting & you’re defending. I stand up and say that the Muslim prisoner is accused of doing some bad things, you then stand up and say ‘yes he has your honour but Christians have done bad things too!’ It simply doesn’t work as a defence, the old two wrongs don’t make a right.

Here are a few for you:

          Exodus XXII: 18-20

Do not allow a sorceress to live.

Anyone who has sexual relations with an animal is to be put to death.

Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the Lord must be destroyed.

          Exodus XXXI: 14

          Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it is to be put to death;

There are several instances in various books of blasphemers being stoned to death, as God commanded. And that’s without citing the usual Deuteronomy bits the Beeboids love to throw out. There’s also plenty of stuff about God ordering and empowering the Israelites to kill all their enemies – man, woman, and child – on the way to conquering Canaan.

Nothing whatsoever to do with Christianity, of course. And no Jews have wanted to do this stuff for a couple thousand years and more, either. It’s a fatuous argument because the context is completely different. That won’t stop the Beeboids from pushing it again, though.

          • thoughtful says:

The Jews are unable to stone anyone to death since the Temple was destroyed 2000 years ago, and will not be able to again until a new one is built – and there’s a rather large mosque in the way.

But none of the Exodus quotes are as specific or far reaching as the Jihadist quotes from the Qur’an. Also remember that the Israelites escaped from the Egyptians and that was around 3500 years ago!

This is truly an “alien wedge” with too many fellow-travellers / condoners of terrorism even here in their adopted country. Too many people with a dual loyalty. No nation can work like that, it is simple logic that integration is going backwards rather than forwards.

Great article by Mark Steyn. He deals with the horrific and rapid apology by Nick Robinson about using the term “Islamic appearance” to describe the murderers who were shouting Moslem slogans and thus appeared Islamic to anyone within earshot or knife range.

    3. MI5/6 were supposed to know?…police slowness to act.
    4. No intervention, lack of co-ordination from Kenya?…trauma of Kenyan community payback sentencing?
    5. Lack of a snoopers charter that John Reid would have done when he was letting Muslims howl him down in 2006?
    But he didn`t
There may be many more….but there`s only one reason for it.
Sura 9 ordains it so-and our good Muslim Nigerian just carried it out for us…the living sword of the Koran comes to Woolwich.

Not able to dispute the logic, but bothered it may seem somewhat too authoritarian for some, and sincerely hope that our Pounce continues to post his experience led wisdom here about the ROP.
(Thinks, need to get a mention of bbc bias in every post? )

Seriously, It is truly difficult to lay down hard and fast rules, having previously seen appeals by mods against what they saw as a preoccupation with the ROP, only to have that appeal self ignored the very next day, and then excused by the phrase ” events dear boy, events”
I have for some time recommended this blog to anyone and everyone I am able to, via twitter or whatever means available, and would hope to continue to do so.

I have to accept the gospel, as written above, and would accept the mods decisions of course ( is there any choice? )
But all must remember, not one of us is perfect, and whether anyone thinks of me as a one trick pony, well that’s of no consequence to me.

Can anybody enlighten me on the BBC policy for webpage headlines? From today’s UK web page (I can’t be bothered to link)

    1) In relation to the murder of Lee Rigby “Woolwich police release three men”. Scanning this headline I thought that the police had released three men without charge etc – I got the impression thet the police had made a mistake.

    2) “Women bailed over fatal dog attack”. I understood this headline instantly as it included the word “bailed”.

    3) My proposal “Woolwich police bail three” has seven fewer characters and accurately reflects the story

I find that BBC headlines and stories now largely resemble a random collection of web key words that make no sense or are wildly misleading – the BBC insisted that their “EDL Bomb Plot” headline was accurate and informative.

Personally I think they need to replace a few sub editors (at least!) with people who have at least a GSCE grade C pass in English, who understand what words mean and how to construct meaningful, grammatical sentences and to hell with net presence – the point is we need to be informed accurately; the objective is not to accumulate web hits -if this was the case why not just go to the logical conclusuion and add in porn related key words into headlines too.

Already posted this on another thread, sorry for doubling up, but it’s a good read…

Good article here from Quentin Letts about the BBC, who are more than willing to give an open mike to Islamic extremist radicalisers, yet consider it appropriate to effectively ‘no-platform’ other proponents of views that are far less ‘controversial’, or even mainstream…

Defenders of the BBC will say it is important that we know such violent sympathies bubble under society’s facade. Society has, in its darkest pockets, men and women who believe in all sorts of Satanic misdeeds.

But liberals, rightly, would never contemplate giving them a platform on prime-time network television.

Indeed, I find it more difficult to feel disquiet about Channel 4, whose news reporting has long been testing and rigorous, even if it often dresses to the Left. It is harder to give the BBC the benefit of the doubt. This is a Corporation which for years has promoted political correctness at the expense of journalistic truth.

This is a Corporation whose news editors have been bullied into silencing criticism of working-class views about multiculturalism and immigration.

You agreed with Enoch? Your voice went unheard. The middle-class snoots of the BBC hierarchy would not hear of such intolerance.

You support the death penalty, English nationalism, a flat tax rate, an end to the welfare system? No airtime for you.

Would Anjem Choudary have been given such a comfortable ride on primetime telly if he had been attacking wind farms; if he had been calling for Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union; if he had been questioning the MMR vaccine?

      • Reed says:

Precisely. Because Mr. Choudary is not a recognisable part of that most dangerous of groups – ‘the far right’ – he’s considered to be less serious a threat to the nation than Mr. Griffin and his unpleasant mob. This in itself is a dangerous form of denial, enthusiastically propagated by the BBC.

Anjem Choudary himself may not be a danger to anyone, but the products of his life’s work most certainly are.

There is nothing the BBC and the liberal left enjoy so much as national (English, that is) self-loathing, which explains their support for mass immigration – in their eyes the sooner our culture is destroyed, the better. Orwell wrote some wonderful pieces on this theme.

Every other kind of nationalism though (leaving aside the US and Israel, obviously), gets their full approval even when – bizarrely – it is expressed so openly and aggressively on our own streets (and I’m not referring to terrorist acts – just the way they choose to report, or not report, certain incidents amounts to a kind of approval or support).

That BBC report has a number of problems, doesn’t it? The Scotsman mentioned that those involved were thought to be “Somalis” and gang members as well as the color of their skin, while the BBC merely mentioned the color of their skin. Which aspect is more important, BBC? I suppose people should at least be grateful that BBC journalists have at last learned that the BBC’s commitment to diversity doesn’t mean they can’t report that ethnic minorities commit crimes.

Plus the BBC said that the police wouldn’t say whether or not either the victims were actually shot, or if a gun caused the fatality. Yet the BBC sub editor ran with “firearms death” in the headline anyway, and not even with attribution quotes. Defenders of the indefensible have taken us to task for less.

The Scotsman report left me a little confused about Abdi’s involvement, as it spoke only of the six Somali men being from rival gangs and not about how he was connected to any of it. But reading the BBC report and noticing the glaring omissions about what they were probably up to pretty much answered that for me. The Scotsman version even did a better job by adding the obligatory sympathy/ “our hearts go out to the family” stuff, while all the BBC did was reiterate the police statement that this was a rare occurrence, followed by the “we’re on the case”, routine. They also left out the thank you to the community from the chief inspector.

It seems that the BBC website staff could easily be replaced by a news aggregator when it comes to local stories as well.

The BBC reporter on their News Channel states that the BBC are prevented from giving more details of the prison hostage story yet certain facts have been widely disseminated. The Telegraph can quote from an email sent to prison staff. Perhaps the BBC are hoping the story goes away before they have to utter the M word

An email sent to all staff in the prison service says the warden was chosen by the three Muslim prisoners because of his links to the Armed Forces.

It said: “Three Muslim prisoners took an officer hostage in an office.

“Their demands indicated they supported radical Islamist extremism.
“The officer taken was an ex-serviceman and, throughout the incident, threats were made to kill him.

“All staff are reminded to remain vigilant to the increased risk of potential attacks on prison officers inspired by these and last Wednesday’s events.”

I was partially listening to the Quisling Today programme at about 8.50 this morning when Evan&Justine ‘addressed’ this issue. Obviously, 8.50 is a non-serious slot so the pair merely noted that 2 newspapers (which) had conflicting reports. So no Quisling Broadcasting Corporation [sic] journalist was able to ring the prison, or POA, or look at respective websites. Evan&Justine shilly-shallied as to whether or not there may or may not have been an enriched, and what sort, element to the incident. Curiously, unlike their initial speculation about Boston and how it all pointed toward a white-Redneck-far-right-tea-party-and-definitely-not-Religion-of-Peas perpetrator.

Since information had been out on Monday then they could have made a direct quote from both papers, so the particular enriched segment of our happy-klappy may have been mentioned directly. Though not judged. Heaven forbid.

This struck me as not merely the usual ‘please, please don’t let it be the Religion of Peas’ but a deliberate attempt by them to kick the can down the road. Let someone else at the Quisling Corporation first use the ‘M’ word and risk their career. But not Evan&Justine.

Any news out there BBC? Or when things are slow do you simply hand over to the Diversity Unit?

Put this stuff on a subscription channel and give us the option – please!

Or at least give it a separate channel and we can check how many viewers it gets.

If kids shows have to be on CBBies then I can’t see why we can’t relegate these diversity puff pieces.

Pannell can say “human rights activists” (practically a meaningless term these days), but I agree “opposition activists” is pretty questionable at this point, seeing as how we know at least one main group has declared allegiance to Al Qaeda. The BBC knows it as well.

It must be very difficult for the BBC to find where to draw the line between dutiful reporting of civilian casualties and appearing to make the case for regime change, which in turn can appear to be support for, in this case, jihadi opposition. But they could at least be more honest about who is who here. Pannell spoke of regular troops and the NDF doing the killing, but then further down described it as Alawite militias massacring the local Sunnis. Be more clear about the connection, BBC.

Pannell also spoke of a “leaked video”, possibly from a Syrian soldier, showing some of what happened. If it’s so revealing, why hasn’t he done a Donnison with it, I wonder? A sudden need for verification before publishing?

The President may have lifted His moratorium on sending Yemeni Guantanamo POWTs back home, but it looks like nobody’s leaving any time soon and it was a gesture for show and not much else. Fortunately, the BBC is on the case for the defense.

Guantanamo Bay: Why are so many inmates from Yemen?

US President Barack Obama has lifted a moratorium on the transfer of Yemeni prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay as part of a renewed push to close the detention camp.

Nearly 800 detainees have passed through the centre since it was set up under the Bush administration in 2002 to hold “enemy combatants” from the war in Afghanistan – and 166 are still being held there.

More than half of these inmates – 89 men – come from Yemen.

They were largely picked up around in Afghanistan or border areas 11 years ago on suspicion of involvement with al-Qaeda.

But of the 86 men in Guantanamo who have been cleared for transfer or release, 56 are Yemeni. They are no longer considered enemy combatants or a threat to US security.

So why are they still there? It’s not His fault, you see. The Yemen government wasn’t an effective advocate for them the way European and other governments were on behalf of their own countrymen/residents, so the Yemeni POWTs never stood a chance. Plus, there was the Underpants Bomber, and critics were ready to attack Him on the whole security issue anyway. The BBC found an expert to tell you it was a wise move to forget about releasing them. Can’t remember Bush getting an assist like that. After that, the political situation in Yemen got worse, and there was a concern that the agni innocenti would stir up trouble once sent back there. Oddly.

Now the President is doing the same thing Bush did: saying He wants to release them all and close down Gitmo (yes, Bush actually did say that). Yet the BBC curiously offers less critical remarks about how the world is scowling at us for this human rights violation, or how it undermines the fight against terrorism. The recent hunger strike is mentioned as a bad PR issue, but no quotes from any actual critics.

Remember when the BBC used to offer more critical reporting and less water-carrying for a US President on this issue? Good times, good times……

Can’t imagine why there are no quotes to be found from Euro leaders or human rights advocates this time around.

Took a holiday in Provence a couple of years ago and the food was boringly repetitive – pasta, steaks, omelettes and fish (if you were lucky), all cooked to a very average standard. Spot the missing facts about the physical assault which prompted the shooting in this BBC News Online breaking story about character evidence being prohibited from opening remarks in the upcoming trial over the death of Trayvon Martin:

Mr Zimmerman had been sitting in his vehicle watching a neighbourhood street when he saw Martin and deemed him suspicious. He telephoned authorities, then left his vehicle to pursue Martin.

Florida police did not arrest Mr Zimmerman for six weeks after the shooting.

He has denied he intended to shoot Martin, claiming the teenager became aggressive and threatened him and that he drew his legally carried gun and shot in self-defence.

The case drew national attention because the state’s controversial “stand your ground” law grants individuals wide latitude to use deadly force if they feel seriously in danger.

There is police report evidence of assault, an eyewitness to back up Zimmeran’s claim that he was assaulted, as well as photo and video evidence of his injuries. ABC initially doctored the video to hide the evidence, until getting called out on it.

The BBC censored all news of this evidence at the time, and censored all news of the surrounding controversy over NBC doctoring audio of Zimmerman’s call to the dispatcher with the intent to make him sound racist. As far as the BBC audience knows, the kid was shot from a distance in cold blood. The BBC has form on misrepresenting and hiding key facts about the reality of this story.

This is one of the more pernicious of political biases in the media and it is busily at work within those twin pillars of our Left-leaning established mind-set : Twitter and the BBC.

Part of the problem has been apparent since Leftism ceased to be a working class movement.

It is the concept : Left = clever, Right = dumb.

This may be a UK centric explanation but I am sure something similar has happened in the US. Labour politics was once conducted in Fred Kite’s back parlor (ref : Peter Sellers). But now Labour politics are plotted in the likes of Prof Miliband’s missus’s Islington salon.

And there’s another thing: the huge influence that exposure to Left-leaning Ner-ner Ner-ner-ner anti-establishment alternative comedy has had over mainstream news and current affairs broadcast presenters.

Every BBC Nicky Campbell and Richard Bacon now thinks he’s a budding Ben Elton or Graham Chapman.

The BBC ought to be rebalanced to flush out some of the ‘national treasures’ – we all know who they are. Lift them off the public teat and let them make their own way out on the roads of the nation of which they are supposed treasures.

Nalanda was ransacked and destroyed by an army under Bakhtiyar Khilji in 1193. The great library of Nalanda University was so vast that it is reported to have burned for three months after the invaders set fire to it, ransacked and destroyed the monasteries, and drove the monks from the site’

Some guy, who was ex BNP in his youth, now a member of an anti fascist group called ” Help not Hate ” or is it ”Hope not Help,” can’t remember the title, was on Radio 5 this morning, talking about the BNP, EDL, NF, etc etc.

It was like all his Christmases had come early for Nicki Campbell or should that be Ramadan since they all detest Christianity at the BBC.

Campbell went into full Roland Freisler mode and squealed ”What’s so British about aggressive Englishmen of the EDL throwing bottles at police officers ? ( Unlike say, muslims beheading people in the street ?) note no euphemisms here, no ”men, suspect, alleged ” but Englishmen.

I’ve never met a member of the EDL, BNP, KKK or th SS, but the mindset of Nicki Campbell was that Britain was crawling with Neo Nazis and waaycists, from John O’Groats to Lands End, just itching to establish the Fourth Reich and hoist the swastika over Buckingham Palace by lunchtime, and install Nick Griffin as Prime Minister !!

Nicky Campbell’s ‘Your Call’ segment yesterday asked the question ‘should we be arming anyone in Syria?’. Nicky opens up with ” In the past ,of course ,we know about the history of this country and the West arming the Saddam Hussein in Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war…”. Yes Nicky, whatever you do, don’t tell your listeners that Iraq was armed overwhelmingly by the Soviet Union and her allies.

Or that Saddam used chemical weapons against Iran – you know, the weapons of mass destruction you BBC lefties were keen make it appear he never had – ever.

Josie Long is a BBC nurtured and sponsored comedian.

    http://www.comedycentral.co.uk/comedians/josie-long

‘Josie Long spent her early life in Orpington, South East London and began performing stand-up comedy at the ridiculously young age of 14. At 17 she won the BBC New Comedy Awards’

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josie_Long

‘She contributed sketches and one-liners to BBC Radio One’s 2004/05 comedy show, The Milk Run with Andrew O’Neill. One edition of the show was entirely given over to a script she co-wrote with her friend Dan Harkin’

‘Her radio series Josie Long: All of the Planet’s Wonders was broadcast on BBC Radio 4’

‘She has also been involved in BBC Switch, on a weekly mini-feature called Josie Long’s Confuse the Teacher Feature’

Pretty much a BBC comedy apprenticeship.

It would be unfair to attempt to judge her talent for comedy – but I think it is safe to say that she has hardly had to build a career in a traditional sense. Fringe awards and regular BBC Radio 4 gigs are certainly not the way that Les Dawson or Ken Dodd flourished.

And as so often with the modern BBC and its so-called comedy it really isn’t (Josie) long before we come to politics. Our Josie joined the HIGNFY team recently.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b021454x/Have_I_Got_a_Bit_More_News_for_You_Series_45_Episode_8/

(Series 45 episode 8! Goodness me. Time for a rest perhaps? I digress)

At 1.47 our Josie is introduced in this way ‘A comedian who says she wishes she knew more about politics but knows she doesn’t like Conservatives’

    Oh dear. Where to begin?

    http://www.josielong.com/alternative_reality_tour.htm

Our Josie does do her fair share of political comedy. She does Trade Union sponsored activist shows telling the young (and vulnerable?) that the evil Tories are busy closing their youth centres.

Is our Josie an honest child of the humble toilers?

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/profiles/my-secret-life-josie-long-comedian-28-2037464.html

She would have us believe so….

‘My parents are … My mum just retired and moved to Tenerife. She’s obsessed with Tenerife and her dog, it’s very cute. When he worked, my dad had something to do with the Dartford Tunnel. Now he’s just obsessed with Facebook.’

‘The house I grew up in … Until I was 12, it was a semi-detached on an estate – half council, half owned – in the dreary suburbs of Orpington, south London. There was a mix of people – one girl on our road had a pet pig; we did stuff like carol singing and collecting for charity.’

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josie_Long

Is that the whole story Josie?

‘Long spent her early life in Orpington, Kent, where she attended Newstead Wood School for Girls in Swift House. She also attended GIFT Ltd. summer schools’

‘At 18 she gave up stand-up whilst attending Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford’ ‘She read English Language and Literature’

Posh single sex girl’s school and English at Oxbridge – how uncool!

‘My house is … My boyfriend and I rent half a terraced house; it’s untidy but full of love.’

Something tells me she’s slumming it considering all the BBC fees she must have banked.

‘My secret crush … is [the rapper] Mos Def..’

Ah… he sounds well cooool! (On several counts) Suffice to say I hade to look him up.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mos_Def#Social_and_political_views

‘In 2000, Mos Def performed a benefit concert for death row inmate Mumia Abu-Jamal’

(Mumia Abu-Jamal was once a Black Panther)

‘Mos Def said that he did not listen to any of Osama Bin Laden’s messages because he did not trust the translations’

    Right on Man! (Wo-man!?)

I can’t help but feel the BBC is forcing the likes of Josie Long on the British public. Consequently they are helping her to spread her views.
