Ah, will the BBC ever get over the death of ol’ Yasser – that Jew hating terrorist loving piece of Palestinian slime? …sorry, I meant that much loved and sadly missed Leader of the most oppressed people ever. I mean when BBC reporter Barbara Plett openly wept at his funeral, those were our tears she expressed, right?
Anyhoo….the issue of Arafat’s death has been a tad tricky for the BBC. The fact that he died from Aids — or so his doctor said — seemed unsatisfactory for the comrades so far better to fantasise on those conspiracy tales that those evil Jooos had poisoned him with polonium.
..or ‘may’ have.
It’s enough for those wonderful people who brought you Savile/McAlpine./BIJ/Newsnight.
Still.

Indeed. No eulogy for St. Saville, though.

Cant they dig him up ( again…..savile that is) and check in case he was poisoned too by Mossad? Wouldn’t that excuse all the filthy deeds he got up to? Maybe it was polonium, or an intra venous dose of the AIDS virus?

dont know alot about this arafat guy so i think the term called militant could be a politacaly correct way to describe him.in fact the word militant seems to be the codeword these days down at bbc hq for the term terrorist, the other day on radio 5 live i counted 9 times on the breakfast show rachel burden describe that leader of the pakistani taliban who got killed by a precision drone as a mililtant, now here is my problem,i want to be educated by radio 5 live and the bbc what is the difference betreen a terrorist and a militant because i am so confused by that term.

A terrorist is a member of an organisation to whom the BBC is unsympathetic. A militant is a member of an organisation to whom the BBC IS sympathetic. (I was going to add (or an Islamist) – but that would be a tautology.)
Pay attention as there will be a short quiz in May 2015 – unless events overtake us.

The BBC has eliminated the work terrorist from the vocabulary because to use it is to make a value judgement and the BBC never makes those. I think the BBC should be pushed to adopt Prof. Boaz Ganor’s simple definition of terrorism: Terrorism is the deliberate use of violence aimed at civilians or civilian targets aimed to achieve political goals.
The issue is not how someone else defines terrorism but how the BBC defines it.

An interesting, concise, definition.
Applying it, and if one includes ‘threat of imprisonment’ .as a ‘deliberate use of violence’ one could perhaps describe the BBC itself as a terrorist organisation.

I would have thought the Mossad would have got Arafat in the seventies if they were going to.
If he was bumped off perhaps it was by others in the PLO who wondered, like many others, how the old crook became a billionaire?

Why on earth would Mossad want Arafat dead? He was one of their best, if unintentional, assets.

From DV’s al-Beeb link page –
“Lausanne scientists, working with an al-Jazeera documentary crew, found traces of polonium-210 on Arafat’s personal effects. His widow had objected to a post-mortem at the time of his death, but asked the Palestinian Authority to permit the exhumation “to reveal the truth”.”
Well, if al-Jazeera found polonium, then the science is settled. His widow must be a scientist too, as she knew all along. Transfer these people to the IPCC immediately.

Mass murderer, butcher of women and children, multi billionaire and father of modern terrorism Arafat had a lot of enemies even within Philistine circles and as Milverton says Mossad could have bumped him off discretely at any time if they wanted to.
Listening to Barbara Pletts wailing and howling at his demise one would have thought she was ordered to unclothe the cadaver as apparently he stank like a camel with the trots when he was alive.
But the world is now a better and safer place since this murderer is safely tucked up in hell.

Of course there’s no way he could have died from natural causes

I. M. Pacepa has detailed accounts about Arafat’s homosexuality and bisexual parties involving his bodyguards. Arafat’s own wife has denied an autopsy when he died, but now it seems the money are running out and blaming ‘da Joos is a profitable business in her corner of the planet. Of course al-beeb is all over the story.

‘but now it seems the money are running out’
He had a personal fortune of $2.4 Billion when he croaked so unless she signed up to a UK energy company for her gas and electricity It would be quite difficult for her to squander that in that space of time.
$2.4 billion yet he was liberal with the gobshit about ‘starving’ Philistines and how ‘oppressed’ they were. Useful for the propaganda machine at Al beeb though.

She inherited none of it. St Yassir was so paranoid he didn’t tell his own wife the accounts and passwords of his accounts. After his death he was rushed back at the hospital he died in the hope he’ll be revived and spill out account numbers. Didn’t happen.
Sure thing Suha has access to some money pumped by EU and US but she is now at the mercy of the “palestinian” cleptocracy who themselves are not doing very well in the current economic circumstances. “Blame the Joo” however might work. At least for a while.

Where were you when you heard about these baseless old regurgitated allegations? Have you been personally affected by them? Send us your photographs and stories and we’ll print them without checking. Plus coming soon: Mandela – is he being poisoned by die-hard apartheid supporters time travelling from the 1960s? (Hey, that would be a good anniversary episode for Dr Who!)

He got married ( to a woman ) purely for PR purposes as he needed an image if he was to be seen on the world stage. Who fathered the child ? I doubt it was him. His wife then scuttled off to a palace in Paris paid for by western taxpayers and extortion rackets in the Pally territorys. After the camp david bullshit Bill Clinton found out the definition of “taqiyya”. Arafat agreed to everything in front of Clinton’s face then when back home and stuck up the proverbial two fingers. As a previous poster has already said “the murderer Arafat is now safely tucked up in hell”

Yes, a total non story, move a long now, nothing to see here right? Ha!
Seems a few disagree with you though:

Could it be…oh I dunno…that you’re biased!?!? Or maybe you got it about right.
Also worth mentioning that there have been no suspects named as his wife ‘acknowledged that her husband had had many enemies’.

So I must be a Nazi/PLO supporter because I think its a story worth covering? Flawless logic there.
I presume the same applies to:
Sky
The Daily Mail
The Independent
The Telegraph
Even the Hindustand Times are in on it too.

Absolutely. In exactly the same way that people who criticise the BBC’s
reporting of Islamic terrorism are racists and bigots

Eh, no.
Most people are able to put aside their own personal views about Yasser Arafat when deciding if its a story worth covering.
Unless of course, you’re not interested in impartiality.
Point proven I think.

Wild guess, but on a thread about Mr. Arafat, on a blog about BBC Bias, what the DM deals in with a political story from NI may not, or need to be front of mind?
I can also see we are in for a loooong set of treats from der Borg Recyclingbehälter yet.

Mr Vance hasn’t mentioned it on this Blog anywhere, nor on his other Blog. Seems odd when everyone in NI is talking about it.
The DM story is just one I linked to, there’s plenty of other coverage, its based on a BBC NI programme.
But then its not odd at all is it? because it doesn’t fit with his agenda. Hence no mention.

Not forgetting Orla Guerin’s confession on “From Our Own Correspondent” that she wept as “the frail old man” was flown away to France for treatment.
How extreme left do you have to be to disqualify yourself as a BBC journo?

Orla was moved on from reporting on Palestine after the Balen Report. One wonders what that report said about Orla’s impartiality that she was shifted to other destinations rather swiftly. Oh of course, no one is allowed to read the Balen Report. The BBC spent around £300 000 of our money stopping us from reading a report we paid for so we wouldn’t know if our broadcasting service, which we pay for, was biased in the Israel/Palestine conflict.

Orla moved from covering Israel for lack of impartiality vis a vis Israel and the Muslims, so she now reports to us from……Pakistan! Go figure.

Orla Guerin was removed from reporting in Israel in 2004 by Mark Thompson himself after repeated accusations of bias. Balen Report 2004? No connection there obviously.

sorry Klaus, it was Orla Guerin as well as Barbara Plett. The BBC just can’t find unbiased staff can they. she’s also a failed Labour politician as well (irish labour, but still part of the trade union movement)

I bet you can’t, because you are mistaken:

Recognise anyone Dyke is talking about in this article?
Of course, if what you say is true, then the BBC removed her at the behest of Israel, which would be…er……bias in favour of Israel?
