BBC Smears David Cameron

I put this at the bottom of the last post but thinking about it it deserves its own post.

The BBC has put this headline on its frontpage:

David Cameron follows ‘high-class escorts’ on Twitter

Carltons of London on Twitter

and look….way, way down at the bottom after the BBC has headlined the story:

The site speculated that the Prime Minister – or more likely, an aide – might have been looking for the Carlton Club, a private members club for supporters of the Conservative Party…..’which bills itself as the “oldest and most important of all Conservative clubs”.

So a complete non-story….but too good a chance not to smear the PM on the frontpage of one of the world’s biggest news broadcasters.

What were they thinking?  Is it student rag week at the BBC?

Compare though the curious lack of BBC interest in this from Guido about a Labour MP (Thanks Uncle bup):

Jack Dromey’s Porn Favourites

This is Santiago Rodriguez  preforming a sex act on porn star Daemon Sadi. On the 14 November @blackgaycocks tweeted a link to their “pumped raw and creamed” photoshoot on specialist publication website BigBlackGayCocks.net. Intriguingly this tweet was ‘favourited’ by the Shadow Minister of State for Policing, Labour MP Jack Dromey who is better known as Mr Harriet Harman.

OK, I suggested an average age of 13 before. They seem to be hiring from remedial kindergardens… and hiring a lot more daily (are they trying for a ‘too big to make redundant’ for the Charter Review?).
Of course any complaint will be met by the ‘It was clarified within the body of the story’ weasel, but they may be struggling to keep it together without blinking on the ‘no space for accuracy’, ODoS “quote” front on this one across the twitter RT’s & mobile screens.
Maybe A. Lawyer has a view on what people will see and infer mostly?
I see in headline a direct tribally-motivated accusation (tongue in cheek? Don’t care. This is the news, not HIGNFY) based on zero confirmed substantiation and a ton of titteryelots speculation.
Lucky Ed Richards & OFCOM are there to ensure this can’t happen in the same way Leveson/#HackedOff /Labour/BBC are nailing down elsewhere on print.

This is how it works in Beeboid land….Guido Fawkes runs with a story aimed at their beloved masters of the Labour party, and the BBC retaliate using thousands of pounds in public funding to run a non story against their most detested anathemas…..

I.E., anyone that doesn’t live and breath Socialism…..

Mel hammer to crack a nut…..

A similar strategy is regularly carried out via the loathsome Comrades of UAF/HNH, once again using thousands of pounds of public monies given to them by the Communist unions….

It’s a Socialist trait that runs close to the bone, but can only be carried out by using taxes from suckers..

Guido can do what the law, his market, and his conscience, lets him get away with. He is private and does not charge.
What the uniquely-funded, most trusted national broadcaster of Great Britain decides to do tribally ‘in retaliation’ (especially against some minor blog), however, is quite another matter.
Popcorn now well and truly grabbed.

To be honest Mr Dromey’s twitter account name was probably scraped off a website by malware, added automatically to a mailshot database and then tweeted automatically.

Be very careful in ascribing to humans the nefarious actions of automata.

Maybe so, however, someone connected to Mr Dromey’s twitter account, or Mr Dromey himself had to Like, or “Favour” it. 🙂

    To quote from the article
    —————————————-
In relation to the escort agency, Number 10 told the BBC the following was unintentional.

“Prior to 2010, an auto-follow process was used, meaning that @Number10gov automatically followed anyone who followed the account.

“This was common practice at the time for many corporate accounts, but was discontinued in 2009.

Does this suggest that Gordon Brown or Tony Blair was the original follower?

Much of the article, including the headline, has now been rewritten. Newssniffer shows 35 minutes between first and second versions.

Obviously some BBC journalist just couldn’t resist smearing Cameron and simply dived in with a misleading report.

Reminds me of the BBC smear against Lord McAlpine. Anything that reflects badly on the Tories tickles the BBC in all the right places and sometimes they just can’t resist publishing it irrespective of how true or not.

There would appear to be a BBC ‘story’, and now, uniquely almost, there is… are… the BBC evolving stories.
‘News’ with changing headlines and copy. Sounds more like their guess is as good as any… ah well… who really cares, they can make it up like they usually do.

Span Ows suggested on the other thread that the BBC rushed to get this up as a counter to the Jack Dromey story. So maybe they know this is a technical mishap and not really real, and are using it to imply that Dromey’s is as well?

Thanks David. Yes I do, you’ll note there is no date on the screen shot (not even on the original at the Register). Usually you’d have comments etc below with dates. Can one of you clever twitterers find out if this really was today/recent…or maybe something they’ve had up their sleeve.

The Beeb won’t run the story because……..can you imagine them using the phrase “big black gay cock” on the Six O Clock News?

So the bBC feels to report how the PMs twitter account (Not David Camerons account) was following a high class Escort agency.

    The same bBC which:
    1) Remained silent on Jimmy Saville’s habit of rape
    2) Which has seen so many of its workers in the dock for rape
    3) Has defended Islamic terrorism every chance it gets
    4) Been found guilty of sexism
    5) Been found guilty of Ageism
    6) Has a culture of hard drug taking.
    7) Is guilty of racism (Ask the jews)

Yet instead of reporting the facts, reports crap which makes the DM look like a broadsheet.
