On the bBC’s follow up to their “We are wrong to look at Islamic suicide bombers as….Terrorists”. article: The man from Martyrs Avenue who became a suicide bomber in Syria
The bBC have opened a comments page (Gee I wonder why so many people are against this faux matyrhood from the bBC) I had a look at some of them and as always looked at both the best and the worse, I wasn’t surprised to come across this on the worse:
It would appear that some people are congenitally self-harmers or stupid or both but wouldn’t it be a refreshing change once in a while for the views of us normal people to be properly represented in the media.
ITMA ( & woman) on breakfast North west. Police arrest of men believed to be involved in….may include the brother of a man “feared” to have been killed in Syria. Odd choice of word “feared”.
The Manchester Evening News part of the left leaning Mirror group, printed a story of a Jihadist from the UK killed in Syria missing out the critical words – Muslim, Islam, Jihad, Radical, or anything else. It was deeply respectful.
All the posts criticising their reporting and said Martyr were removed, and the posters banned. This is of course illegal as thanks to the ECtHR service must be provided to everyone regardless of colour creed or ideology ect, but the intolerant left simply ignore that.
The irony, here is that the cocksuckingarselickingchildrapingterroristfawning leftwing wankers who go from nought to idiot at the mention of UKIP, go well out of their way in which to bend over and take it like a MP when the bigot in front of them is a ….Muslim.
Pounce apart from agreeing wholeheartedly with your sentiments I am loving the particularly long profanity which is actually accurate and to the point.
Interesting article by Paul Dacre in the Grauniad about the bBCs promotion of cultural Marxism, but it’s way back from 2007. He talks about the risk of them triggering a ‘backlash’, well it hasn’t happened yet!
On the BBC news during ‘Toady’, this morning an item which went to great lengths to tell us that a black convict, has had his conviction overturned 25 or so years after an all-white jury had found him guilty….
(Their emphasis, I think, not mine.) Even Madame Goat sat up and took notice when that was broadcast – twice.
“The many flaws in the case against Mr Ford have been listed by the US press:…
…Mr Ford, a black man, was convicted by an all-white jury who recommended the death sentence”
How the f**k is that a “flaw”? Do they have evidence that the decision was on race grounds? Would they accept that a white bloke could object to an all-black jury for fear of racism?
I think the BBC are pointing out that there needs to be racial segregation in the legal services, but only for Blacks.
Which, ironically would effectively segregate Whites as well, which would cause great convulsions of confusion amongst the left-wing morons at the BBC.
The motion filed by assistant district attorneys Dale Cox and Catherine Estopinal states due to “new reliable information, the state now believes whatever the involvement of Glenn Ford in the robbery or murder of Isadore Rozeman, the new information, if known at the time of the trial, would reasonably have resulted in a different outcome. … Indeed, if the information had been within the knowledge of the state, Glenn Ford might not even have been arrested or indicted for this offense.”
He had pawned items stolen from the murder victim’s shop. On the day of the offence, he attempted to sell a .38 calibre handgun, the same calibre as that used in the murder. Neither of these things he told the police when he was first interviewed. Did Toady keep schtum too?
This was news item #1 in the world on the BBC World Service overnight. This of course ticked all the boxes, USA, Black, death penalty, but even so, why are obscure legal matters from the USA always leading the news? We never hear of possible miscarriages of justice in Saudi, Iran, Pakistan, China etc etc
‘Color of jusitce: Ford, an African-American (pictured in booking photos), was tried and convicted of first-degree murder by an all-white jury panel in 1984 and sentenced to death’
Among the many all too typical problems with his prosecution was the composition of the jury. An African American, Ford was sentenced to death by a jury that had been carefully selected by prosecutors to be exclusively white.
Of course, I understand from reading this Blog, that black people have never experienced racism and this is entirely a myth.
I have made a formal complaint to the BBC regarding the comment about an all white jury.
Since this man has been released based on new evidence I have asked them to justify their racist comments concerning the race of the jury. They provided no evidence that the verdict of the jury was based on racial prejudice. I expressed the hope that any jurors still alive would sue them for defamation.
BBC News this morning and a big up for the Commonwealth Games (who cares? – not the top athletes, they have either pulled out or got themselves up the duff)
Olympics, Paralympics, Winter Olympics, Winter Paralympics, Commonweath Games …
don’t tell me…..
Winter Commonweath Games? (what’s that – the British Empire was mostly in hot places)
Commonwealth Paralympics (shouldn’t that be Para-wealth Games?)
‘And with a Winter Paralympics on the horizon, plus World Championships in sports including track cycling, wheelchair basketball and para-dressage, plus a number of European Championships and some para-sport events in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, there are plenty more opportunities to shine’.
So much promotion of hobby sports. Don’t the BBC ever get PUFFED out?
The Winter Commonwealth Games could be held in her Majesties territories of Canada, Scotland, British Antarctic Territory, Australian Antarctic Territory, Ross Dependency, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, Heard Island and McDonald Islands and the Falkland Islands.
If there are lots and lots of frost bit injuries, they could follow it up with a Winter Commonwealth Paralympics.
To round off BBc breakfast a discussion on the new re-vamped I player. Personally I’ve never found the need to use it but never mind. Yes you can watch it without a license and yes it’s free. Ohh and they are putting on content more like you tube, they then show a naff clip of a short film specially made for I player. Despite talking about how it’s free strange that there is no mention of charging for it in the future. So is the idea hyping it up getting as many on board as possible and hope there’s not too much drop off if a charge is subsequently made.
‘Yes you can watch it without a license and yes it’s free”
Guilty as charged, and now feeling more so if it is part of a cunning plan to justify their latest unique funding machinations.
Certainly the ‘First 6 months free (and then charge like a wounded bull in perpetuity having reeled the suckers in)’ technique is not unheard of.
There are about half a dozen shows a week I get seduced in by. Usually consumed in a night.
So last night I was reduced to a new one, ‘The Michael Macintyre Chat Show’.
I recall when he was a desperate bolt-on to Mock the Week, then suddenly blossomed into a fair stand-up A lister.
This was back to desperate.
I never even got as far as the chat show bit, and no loss given who they had dredged up to talk about themselves, which of course cutting edge programming really needs more of.
Had to laugh in his warm up when he alighted upon an audience member called Oliver to tease. Nice young man. Polite. Well spoken. The BBC diversity department must have swooned too.
Speaking of which, that Mike rather harped on about getting him a girlfriend seemed in this day and age a route to dangerous waters.
But I think he got away with it.
Not sure if the bloke sitting next to Olly was too sure what to make of it though.
“A future Labour government would not call an in/out referendum on the UK’s membership of the EU unless it was being asked to transfer more powers to Brussels, Ed Miliband has said”.
Has young Ed just lost the next election? With UKIP still on the rise why has Milliband made such an unpopular statement? Most commenters on the BBC article are very critical of him and his party and simply do not believe him and remember the mess Labour left behind last time.
How long before the BBC close the comments down?
The problem for the country is that most commenters, not only the BBC blog but on most other popular blogs, care about the country, are articulate and able to express a coherent opinion. The comments we see are generally therefore skewed in favour of common sense but unfortunately this is not representative of the overall population. We know that there are those folks with the unrealistic and very often bitter socialist tendencies that would vote for a red rosette even if just pinned on a headless chicken.
Also, we might disagree with the elitists of the Eton and Harrow type of private/public schools but we have to agree that those schools do give the best educations to the children in their care. They get the best teachers, the best equipment, work longer hours and have better discipline than state schools and of course they usually have a more stable family life. And they are not always rich, some parents really do make hard financial sacrifices to send their children to a good private school.
The end result of a good education is that people then usually vote with their minds and not because dad always voted one way or the other or because a militant teacher has indoctrinated them to vote a particular way. That vote is usually Conservative, (or maybe UKIP now) not because that is the party of the elite but because a good education and common sense tells them that if monitored properly capitalism and trading your skills for the best price actually works and makes for successful people and a successful country. A soft socialist benefit culture does not.
It is a fact that successive Labour governments have dumbed down our education system. The result is a dumbed down population that votes Labour. One hundred years ago ordinary young people like my mother and father came out of school being able to read properly, with excellent handwriting and being able to do basic arithmetic. Not now.
The only question is has the education system dumbed down enough of the population to give young Ed a win next year? Sad isn’t it?

What the Left believe is so repellent they have to disguise it by using words in ways that are the opposite of their usual meanings.
When Lenin said that he believed in “Education! Education! Education!” he did not mean giving people the knowledge to become independent of Party thinking, he meant he believed in making sure that everybody adhered to correct Party thinking, no matter how absurd. Indeed the more absurd the better, because that way people would unlearn how to think for themselves.
When Tony Blair said “Education! Education! Education!” he meant giving more money (taken from the taxpayer) to public sector teachers, not because they demonstrated any aptitude or indeed any interest in raising educational standards (rather the opposite) but because they were were members of the Public Sector Party who would ensure that the children under their care would have correct attitudes about (for example) multiculturalism or global warming.
The BBC in this respect is just more of the same. Newsnight does not even pretend to be anything other than a sort of in-house journal for middle class Labour voting public sector workers presented by journalists who write copy which nobody in the commercial sector would want to buy, because there are not enough customers who would (given the choice) pay for that third rate self-serving public sector socialist crap.
‘Has young Ed just lost the next election?’
Not with the BBC and its £4B fighting fund in support.
But he is making it tricky for them to not look totally partisan as they help him out.
Especially as his own MPs struggle to get on message. http://order-order.com/2014/03/12/labour-react-to-referendum-fudge/
(Nice to see another Tulip blossoming on Labourdom, too)
“…‘Has young Ed just lost the next election?’
Not with the BBC and its £4B fighting fund in support.”
Add Channel 4 to that, too. For the longest time CH4 has been little more than a BBC echo chamber, just as leftist, just as anti-UKIP, pro-EU, pro-CGAW, etc, etc.
Whilst I don’t disagree with the thrust of your post there are two glaring factual errors.
Firstly private and public schools do not get the best teachers – there are many highly skilled teachers in the state sector. The private sector may have a proportion of good teachers that is higher than the state sector but there are many, many poor teachers in the private sector. They do not have the same influence as their skills are not the prime force behind the students’ success.
Secondly, if you think that all PBSs vote Tory you are sadly mistaken as many of them are ardent lefties. In fact the majority of the Labour Shadow Cabinet were privately or publicly educated. Why they become Labour fiends is another story all together and I would suggest the main reason is an unweaning lust for wealth and power that is equally found in the Tory camp.
The reasons why the private sector does better are IMHO and in no particular order:
1. They have smaller class sizes
2. The kids are highly motivated on the whole
3. The school ethos is one of success and not managed failure.
4. The parents have a solid interest in their children’s education
5. The children do not come from a culture of education being useless or not for them.
6. The teaching methods are not subject to constant change and political interference.
7. Children are carefully streamed and not put in for exams they will not pass. NB this started to happen in the state sector too as now state schools are concerned about ‘pass’ rates rather than ‘failure’ rates.
If we could have afforded it we would have sent our children to a private school in a flash. Instead we insisted on private tutors where needed and did our level best to make up for the short falls of the, relatively good, school they attended. All of my children are now doing better than I was when I was their age and I have my wife to thank for that as she had the time and devotion to do most of it whilst I was working. Not all can obviously; but far too many don’t even try.
We know that the BBC has declared its own ‘Cold War’ against President Putin. The Corporation had already picked its side prior to whatever conflicts have and might now occur in and around the Ukraine.
Naturally the BBC is busy rallying the opposition to their chosen badguy.
You have to admire the BBC’s use of quote marks here around the word – patriotically ….
‘On 2 March, one day after the Upper Chamber of the Russian parliament passed a motion allowing President Putin to use Russia’s armed forces anywhere on Ukrainian territory, a Muscovite decided to stage a one-man protest. He knew it was a rather risky affair as the streets were full of “patriotically” minded people rejoicing and celebrating the prospect of a quick victorious war against their neighbour.’
Wiki has this to say
In English writing, quotation marks or inverted commas (informally referred to as quotes or speech marks) are punctuation marks surrounding a quotation, direct speech, or a literal title or name. Quotation marks can also be used to indicate a different meaning of a word or phrase other than the one typically associated with it and are often used to express irony.
Russians are patriotic. No ifs or buts. The liberal just cannot handle the notion that a person might really feel this way. And what is the BBC? Nothing but liberal central and a perfect example of illusionary thinking.
The liberal has the same problem with the EDL. Funny they do not with the Scots Nats.
To be a liberal is to despise England and ultimately yourself.
More and more of us are thankfully immune.
The EU-BBC-LABOUR are angry about the Crimean’s having an Inward looking referendum.
The Scot Nats are Socialists “National Socialists” therefore not Right-wing.
Nazi is short for “National Socialist” which is confusing until you discover that in the 1930’s, the Nazis regarded themselves as left-wing socialists.
Apart from Blair, I cant think of any other person that could be called a right-wing Socialist, other than members of the BNP.
The SNP are acceptable to the BBC not only because of their ‘National Socialist’ identity but also because they favour the break up of the United Kingdom and the destruction of anything ‘British’
I actually think the BBC is not pro-SNP, rather the BBC is pro-Socialist and anti-British nationalism which makes for some sympathy. However the BBC ultimately wouldn’t bite the (big British) hand that feeds it.
The so called ‘Scots Nats’ are Globalists, They want foreigners to move to Scotland and they consider them just as Scottish as someone whose ancestors fought at Bannockburn!
This is why the BBC ,love them. They really couldnt care less if they are left wing or right wing.
Similalry they hate Putin even though he’s left wing, but he is actually a Nationalist.
BBC 3, a channel I’ve never watched, I noted in the TV listings that they had a programme called ”The EDL girls, don’t call me waaycist !!!” Love the title, the implication being they are all racist. You know it’s going to be a stitch up.
Can you imagine if they had a programme called ” Rappers, don’t call me a Nike wearing, ebonic babbling, knife wielding yoof.”
I saw the title but can’t bring myself to watch it, especially when you read the first sentence of the BBC’s programme description, it is very clear what their agenda is:
“The English Defence League has gained notoriety as the far-right street movement with racist and extremist members whose protests often end in violence.”
A tripple whammy slur of ‘far-right’, ‘racist’, ‘extremist’ and ‘violence’. Of course, according to the BBC at least, the real villains here are the already-marginalized white working class, who should be happy to live in silent passivity as a minority ethnic group in the shadow of ever-expanding Jihad.
Mind you, how thick were the EDLers who agreed to appear on it?
Just like the dimwits who volunteered to take part in The Poles are Coming for the BBCs ‘White Season’.
It goes to show how the BBC still has the trust off many, so clever and surreptitious is their propaganda – past masters.
Ed Milliband is going to deny the British people a referendum in 3 years time. Meanwhile in the Crimea, they sorted out holding a referendum in ONE week.
And the Western Media says Putins Russia is undemocratic ?? The hypocrisy is staggering.
Putin wants a referendum because he knows what the result will be. Milliband doesn’t want a referendum because he knows what the result will be. They’re not so different 😉
OK we all know that the BBC acts as the PR transmission belt for Labour. For instance, it was not absolutely necessary to impart the relevant information in the Radio 4 8:00 News this morning to get both Robinson’s take on the Labour Party decision not to have an EU referendum and Mandy’s stream of oily hypocrisy on the same subject. Even so, I think we deserve some informative journalism as well.
Immediately after the news on Today Sarah Montague showed her complete ignorance of the Lisbon Treaty when she “spoke” to shadow foreign secretary Douglas Alexander. Alexander, who is manifestly suffering from a serious attack of Aspergers (he couldn’t stop repeating the phrase “cost of living crisis”) spouted the Labour mantra that if and when the EU seeks increased powers (and, as agreed with and by Sarah, that’s as likely as Mandy giving up his EU pension), only then might there be an in/out referendum.
Sarah – had she been a journalist or just vaguely curious – should have asked two questions:
1. Is Alexander aware that the Lisbon Treaty is self-adjustable ie the EU agreements under which the EU operates can be amended under the Lisbon Treaty without reference back to the signatories for a fresh dispensation? Accordingly, there can be no new “increase in powers” because all necessary power has already been passed to the EU or rather, the “governments” of EU members have no need to go back to their parliaments or electorates to get a fresh mandate on change. How then will Labour deal (or, more to the point, not deal) with that?
2. Given the self-adjusting powers granted under the Lisbon Treaty, what example would Labour deem to be a “new power” sufficient to trigger a referendum.
As I wrote at the beginning of this comment, I know that the BBC is institutionally Labour but, really, for £800 million I would hope (but not expect) that the BBC should be able to park rather more than a badly briefed – if spuriously argumentative – echo chamber in front of a Labour (or any other species of) shyster.
Anybody notice her concerned kindergarten voice as used to “press” Douggies flannels?
Such a soft, coaxing matronly prep school sick bay kind of voice…look Doug, I`ve just GOT to get you to answer!
I`m guessing that her normal Steve Nallon/Maggie voice from Spitting Image is granted her only when Tories are let into the building, and placed on old newspapers.
Privileged hypocritical patronising cow…file under Hewitt, Greer, Cooper-Balls, Harman, Jowell…cur glass fakes, one an `all.
Must be sexist maan…
Funny, when these BBC interviewers try to interrupt Tories/UKIP they succeed in doing so and very forcefully at that. Compare and contrast with her faux attempts at interrupting Alexander who succeeded in completing his every (long) answer. A tried and tested BBC ploy.
Her only worthwhile question was ‘Do you believe the British public can’t be trusted with a vote on Europe?’ – but at the same time failing to give it substance by missing out ‘A belief held by Peter Mandelson’.
What is worse is that the liberal despises us.
Not to share the liberal’s views is tantamount to being a very bad person. Not merely deluded but wicked.
This is the real problem with the BBC/liberal axis of fantasy that it can no longer distinguish dissent from wickedness.
All a bit medieval I suppose.
Excellent points, Umbongo, and either beyond the limited understanding of an intellectually-challenged and (for the world’s greatest investigative journalists) remarkably incurious BBC bunch or, more likely in this case, inconvenient truths best left unsaid.
For INBBC’s Casciani and ‘Jihad Newsnight’ on their Islamikaze ‘hero’:-
‘Daily Mail;
‘ a month ago, censored by INBBC:-
“British jihadist who died driving truck full of explosives into Syrian prison is revealed to be former driver for hate cleric Omar Bakri as footage of his suicide assault emerges.
“Banned preacher described Abdul Waheed Majeed, 41, as a ‘dear brother.’
“He gave him lifts at least twice a week, he told the Evening Standard.
“Four-minute clip has emerged of the explosion at jail in Aleppo last week.
“Jihadist shown driving truck at speed before it explodes killing dozens.
“Father-of-three Majeed talked often to his family in Crawley, West Sussex.
“Police also searching a house today in Didsbury, Greater Manchester, over the death of British fighter ‘Abu Layth’ who was prolific on Twitter.”
By CHRIS GREENWOOD and EMINE SINMAZ and INDERDEEP BAINS and DAN BLOOM
The dangerously misleading INBBC’s Casciani, just two examples for now:-
1.)
Casciani wrongly says:-
“Fighters who filmed the attack shouted the customary cry ‘God is Great’. ” NO, they didn’t, Casciani. They shouted: ‘Allahu Akbar’ which means something quite different-
“No John, ‘Allah Akbar’ Does Not Mean “Thank God” and It Matters”
by Daniel Greenfield
2.) Casciani is wrong here and it matters to non-Muslims in Britain:
“Crawley is no stranger to tales of global jihad because some men from the town have been part of the broad network of radical Islamist thinking that advocates that Muslims in the West have a duty to fight for Islamic causes abroad.”
NO. Islamic jihadist believe in overcoming non-Muslims everywhere, as stipulated in the tenets of Islam. For INBBC’s Casciani and ‘Jihad Newsnight’: have you forgotten 7/7, and the horrendous Islamic jihad murder of Lee Rigby?
Well, I have thanks to the BBC already had recalibrate my notion of what constitutes a benediction.
Hence ‘Take that, Mofo!’ as one lies in a heap in a Towered Hamlet as the surrounding Samaritans engage in a laying on of hands, probably means “Here, let me help your solar plexus up with my knuckles unwary traveller through our ‘hood”.
The BBC and its staff are reaching dangerous levels of self-delusion by now.
Paying for them to propag…ate it is simply insult to injury.
The Britons who swap the UK for the poorest part of the EU
Matthew Price By Matthew Price Europe correspondent
This report on the many Brits ‘migrating’ for ‘a better life’ in Bulgaria – yeah right!
‘This migration, back and forth, is made easier by the European Union’s policy on Freedom of Movement, part of the Single Market rules which allow any EU citizen to travel to another EU country to live, study, or look for work.’
Is that the Ode to Joy I hear somewhere in the background?
Mind you the article did alert me to this odd story
‘The English Neighbour was originally a popular book written a few years ago. In the TV version, the Englishman who moves in is played by the former EastEnders actor Leslie Grantham, aka Dirty Den. ‘
I get sick of the idea constantly being promulgated that it was nigh-on impossible to work elsewhere in Europe before the Single European Market act.
I studied German and politics in an Austrian university for a year as part of my degree course (in 1989). Austria wasn’t even a member of the EU at that stage.
Later on, in 1990,I worked in Spain for a year – before the 1992 Single European act. And I also worked in Greece for a few months the following year.
It has always been possible for UK citizens to study and work in other parts of Europe – as long as they have suitable skills to do so.
And there never seems to be any answer to the challenge…..”OK, you admit to bias (EU, immigration, left-wing political parties, etc., etc.,) in the past, but try to tell us that this is all now behind you. Well, that was exactly the same answer you gave the last time you admitted to bias in the same sorts of fields.
So, given that the sort of corporate cultural change you are claiming is a massive undertaking – especially in an organisation of the size and mindset of the BBC – please can you tell us about the change programme you instituted, the calibration mechanisms you installed to measure the success (or lack) of the project, the person within the BBC primarily responsible for the project, and so forth….? And can we speak to some of the key BBC players – programme writers, directors, newwscasters, etc., who have been ‘re-educated’ by this programme ?”
In fact, the BBC always tries to avoid any such challenge being posed or publicised, and in the complete absence of any evidence to support such claims, then we have to believe that the BBC has not changed in the slightest.
‘This migration, back and forth, is made easier by the European Union’s policy on Freedom of Movement, part of the Single Market rules which allow any EU citizen to travel to another EU country to live, study, or look for work.’
What is it about the term NET immigration the BBC don’t understand?
I think so…half their staff may well end up there if Yewtree does its job, and I myself would like them to advocate for prisoners rights, votes etc from the inside.
Prison radio could catch on…and maybe they could learn something about their captive customer base…who are likely to be far mopre moral, far less venal and nasty than most BBC nodding dogs who cream a pay packet from the poor and stupid.
Huhne and Pryce-the Richard and Judy of Prison Radio.
It is not just the EU where the BBC gets it’s facts and bias horribly wrong.
Guido Fawkes Blog has just published a brilliant example of our national public broadcaster allowing blatant labour party lies, spin and propaganda to go unchallenged.
Today on “The World at One”, Martha Kearney interview with Chuka Umunna proves exactly why the Nation’s tax spent on a public broadcast remit should be stopped as soon as possible, or at least until they can have more competent or unbiased staff to match such enormous salaries:
Surely any BBC political interviewer on such a high profile programme, must know that the last labour government built up a huge national deficit from 2002 onwards, (until eventually almost bankrupting the nation), yet Martha Kearney let Chuka Umunna get away with the lie:
“Most of our thirteen years in office we didn’t have a debt, er, a deficit, because we hadn’t had the financial crash.”
There is a questionnaire available on the BBC News website, might I suggest readers go there to fill it in, and pass comment on whether they believe it to be as impartial as it is supposed to be?
Even the BBC itself might now admit that it was just a little too starry-eyed about the so-called Arab Spring’.
And yet… and yet…. the BBC goes on and on with its credulous woolly-minded reporting of world events.
Jon Sopel does a masterclass in BBC foreign reporting today from ‘Mum-Bye’ for the BBC News Channel.
India’s 814 millions are about to vote in the largest General Election ever – and good for them.
The BBC promises it is going to give us the low down.
But what do we get?
A scene that looks so rarefied it might be an outdoor Oxbridge tutorial.
Ever-so liberal Prof Sopel sits note book in hand in the shady confines of the university quad surrounded by a half dozen well-spoken Indians (English speakers natch) quite obviously from good families. Diversity note : all but one a female student.
Our BBC man elicites such gems as :
‘politics is cool’
‘we want to see “real” change from politicians’
‘social media is major factor’
Really?
[Does Obama have any connections to India – this lot would lurve him]
I bow somewhat to others knowledge of Sub-continent politics here but my guess is that the election will be won and lost along regional and sectarian fault lines – graft will be a major factor. In any case as we have seen in Egypt the great weight of votes will be cast (Caste?) in the countyside by a rather less sophisticated electorate that our Jon Sopel seems to expect.
I had to laugh when having given our Jon their enthusiastic opinion about India’s ‘bright future’ and ‘growing economy’ Jon pushed his luck a tad far… ‘In a few years from now where do see yourselves – in India or abroad?’
5 out of 6 of Jon’s bright young things put up their hands to say ‘Mum-Bye’
Its gone a bit quiet on the missing plane. Just for amusement compare the BBC photos of the two missing fake passport holders with another picture that is doing the rounds. Conspiracy theory…? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-26503469
Tuned in to Today at approx. 7.45 halfway through Evan Davis interviewing George Soros. Didn’t find out till the end who he was but by the quiet reverential questioning of Our Evan and the untypical length of the interview, I guessed it was probably The Left’s Most Holy Man on the Planet.
In case you thought Soros was just a ruthless investor who doesn’t care if he crushes whole whole economies in his quest for obscene wealth, think again. He is a major mover/shaker in that shady outfit The Club of Rome who seek to impose ‘sustainable’ world governance on us all through Agenda 21:
“The common enemy of humanity is man.
In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up
with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming,
water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill. All these
dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through
changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome.
The real enemy then, is humanity itself.”
– Club of Rome
With the likes of Al Gore and Bill Clinton in their ranks, not to mention the BBC shaping the totality of its programming output to fit the 28gate Big Green agenda, how can they possibly fail?
As a PS to that, Davis asked what Soros thought of ‘far right groups’ benefiting in the polls from the Eurozone chaos, going on to unequivocally place UKIP firmly in that camp with its ‘bashing of immigrants and the EU institutions’.
Nothing like nailing your colours to the mast, Evan, whilst music to the ears of cuddly George who surely must fear that the likes of UKIP and right-wing parties across Europe have got him and his sinister ‘Club’ well and truly sussed. At least voters get a chance to approve or otherwise of right-wing manifestos – when will they ever get chance to vote for George and his agenda, Evan – didn’t you think of asking that one?
The Telegraph tells me that Soros is against Scotland breaking up the UK and setting out on its currency road to sefdom.
But-no-didn`t hear Evan or the BBC tell me this…why so eh?
Only the BBC -and the likes of Evan Davis-would equate “immigrant bashing” as being just as injurious to feelings as “EU Institution bashing”.
I confidently predict that “bashing the EU” will become a xenophobic hate crime within a few years….and the BBC will self-refer itself to be equally sensate, and deserving of protection from xenophobes who resent their virtue, and the chance to “make a contribution” to the “national conversation” by declining to pay the License fee.
Institutionally hurt feelings…BBC and EU…thank you MacPherson you old Hutton of a fool!
They’ve even created ‘An Ark of Hope’, a rip off of the Ark of the Covenant, to put the UN Earth Charter in. I’m not sure but I think that’s kinda blasphemous.
” Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator.”
Here is a piece of bBC that shows the schizophrenic nature of the bBC beast. The News and popular sections would not normally mention the following. However the radio broadcasts this :- http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03xf0gt
from R4 shows the extent of Pakistani electoral fraud.
BBC Radio 4 Media Show has Steve Hewlett talking to former Question Time executive producer Steve Anderson [19:10]who reveals that the audience is key. This is achieved by their “brilliant database” so that the ‘right’ people are invited to be in the audience. Out of the horses mouth
1st question about … BBC3 ahem …
BBC 3 is most creative, vital, a crucible of talent
real risky tv ???? … 3 words … snog marry avoid
BBC is getting whiter, older, and more middle class …
hmmm, off switch
as an adage,
2nd question according to the programs own most voted for list (20.05), should have been :-
should more be done to protect female genital mutilation victims, and to prosecute those responsible?
well well BBC? … out of the mouth of
babes eh!
oh! BBC … where was it? pray tell?
… free speech?
Yes. The lasting impression I got from the show was that if young people in Britain were not able to watch Family Guy regularly on this BBC3 then they would become depressed, disenfranchised and start self-harming.
Quietly bubbling away on the BBC news is the saga of Rebekah Mary Brooks, you remember the one, friend of David Cameron, lacky of Murdoch?
Surely you didn’t miss it? Wall to wall ‘sleaze’ and corruption, never off the BBC lead item list.
Now we get to the actual trial it appears she was also a pal of that other chappie, Blair something, might have been PM once but can’t think when. Probably a week or so between Thatcher and Cameron’s terms!
2 bits of news about UKIP today – scuttlebutt accusation (that is old news and has always been denied) that Farage has a mistress and employs her in his London office, and Normal Tebbit suggestng that the Tories need to do a seat-sharing deal with UKIP.
Guess which one the BBC has been running in its Radio 4 hourly news slots.
So, Mr Cameron is visiting Israel. You’d think that the BBC, with its sizeable complement of Jerusalem corespondents, might be reporting this in full. But this seems to be all they can manage. See how the emphasis in the report seems to be on him urging the Israelis to agree to the two-state solution, when in fact we all know that it’s the PLO and PA (and Hamas etc.) who are implacably opposed to such a thing. But not oddly enough there’s not even the slightest mention of the 50 missiles launched from Gaza into Israel by way of welcome. I wonder why that could be . . .
One in 20 inmates ‘from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller backgrounds’
This is the sort of report that the bBBC normally ignores or buries so I was surprised to see the news item that gypos are fifty times more likely than normal people to be in a British jail. They don’t actually do the maths for us, but the report does state that they make up 5% of the prison population, and 0.1% of the census population of England and Wales.
Or, to put it another way, 1 in 14 of the ‘travellers’ are not travelling anywhere.
Censored from INBBC online ‘Education & Family’ news page:
“UK Teacher orders boy, 10, to remove Help for Heroes wristband worn in memory of Lee Rigby ‘because it might cause offence’ to Muslims”
[Opening excerpt]:
“Britain is in free fall. It isn’t just the government, which bans counter-jihadists and supporters of Israel like Robert Spencer and me while letting in the most bloodthirsty and hateful Muslim preachers; it’s also people like this teacher, who has so internalized the idea that anything that causes offense to Muslims must be done away with, no matter what it is. This is the mentality of a defeated people, a captive people, anxious to appease its overlords. This is the mentality of a nation in its death throes.”
Of course, BBC-NUJ supports the military disarmers of Labour Party:-
“Enemies of West will exploit reluctance to engage in conflict, head of army warns.
“General Sir Peter Wall warns a ‘moral disarmament’ in a war weary West sends a message to future adversaries.”
One really gets a glimpse of the outright hypocrisy and failed logic by the BBC when the outcome of a particular issue affects themselves.
Here’s James Purnell, BBC’s director of strategy and digital, trying to convince everybody why dodging the licence fee should remain a criminal offence. He starts by saying ‘the move would be a “huge risk” and lead to a rise in the number of people who fail to pay the fee. “Say the rate of evasion was to double from the five per cent it is now – that would be £200 million, or the equivalent of all of BBC Four, CBeebies and CBBC,” Mr Purnell claimed.
“The choice would be either we take those services off or the Government would have to have a higher licence fee.
One has to compare this to how the BBC cover any motion by the government to increase control over who gets unemployment benefit, as an example. Immediately the BBC goes onto full attack mode to show how much they care about the unemployed, and why they should be continued to be financed by taxes, regardless of whether they have the will to work or not. The BBC wants to be seen as the champion of the poor, until it might affect themselves. Who then are the majority of people who want to avoid paying the licence fee – the poor or the rich?
The BBC are quite content for anybody and everybody who doesn’t pay them their blood money to get a criminal record. It will hardly make it easier for these ‘criminals’ to get jobs in the future.
As for the threat of losing BBC4 and CBeebies…..may it be the beginning of many others.
Now look at his logic: The BBC is also arguing that decriminalisation would penalise the poor.
Mr Purnell said: “Potentially, it would be worse for people who do find it hard to pay. Either you have a low penalty – in which case the evasion rates would go up and everyone would have to pay a higher licence fee – or a penalty which is higher and more difficult to pay.
“Penalties under the civil system are higher on average than the ones for the licence fee. Under the current system, the court has the ability to match the fine to the income of the household.
“As I understand it, under a civil system they couldn’t do that.”
Since civil courts have never been involved in fixing penalties for licence fee evasion, he has no basis to make the comparison. Just the fact that maintaining the current system where a poor person receives a criminal record in addition to a fine or imprisonment can possibly be seen as easier than just a fine shows just how ridiculously blinkard and stupid this man and his peers really are. In their eagerness to keep their grubby little hands on public money, makes it all the more imperative that they should be cast adrift to have to earn their money or join the ranks of the unemployed.
Thanks for posting this. I have seldom read such self serving drivel as Purnell’s words. I doubt he believes it himself. Typical lefty apparatchnik.
Russia got rid of them in the end so should we.
Yes I can see how the liberal inquisition would be horrified at thought of losing their cadaverous grip on children’s television . Almost as horrified as I am at the thought of their keeping it.
Or here:
“But a BBC spokesman said: ‘We are satisfied that the programme was fair, balanced and followed our guidelines on impartiality”
The anonymous, smug satisfaction of some probably non-QT pr-drone noted, in what seems the only phrase they seem capable of cutting and pasting in reply… because they simply have nothing to worry about.
In what way does such a ‘it is because the BBC says it is’ reply put an end to such a serious accusation?
Let the BBC dig it’s own grave. I do not want an impartial BBC I want an end to it and a non tax funded plurality of views.
The time has come to put an end to the continuing farce of an impartial state broadcaster. It is liberal has been for donkey’s tears and is about as impartial as I would be. .
It strikes me, and perhaps regular readers of the Daily Mail might be able to confirm, that the Mail is becoming increasingly overt about its accusations of BBC bias.
Sure, it’s a right-wing paper (mostly) and preaching to those on the right, but part of the problem for those of us who see BBC bias is that the Beeb and it’s licence fee still meet with the general approval of the population. If the consensus toward the BBC on the right breaks down, the BBC’s position of “impartial Auntie” becomes unsustainable and the licence fee will follow.
They certainly seem to be prepared to (mashing a few metaphors) stick their heads over the parapet and get toe-to-toe with Aunty.
But while they are massive (esp. online) and influential, they pale in budget and reach to the force-funded national media monopoly.
That said the DM are scoring some hits in middle England, especially when they stick to simple facts, unadorned, on abuse, waste and simple excess of unique exemption on every single aspect of the whole rotten operation.
Where they do get deflected is when such facts can be respun as politically tribal, as with Papa Ed. None of it untrue, but a civilian was targetted and the propaganda value was easy to exploit.
Oddly Savile/Newsnight/McAlpine didn’t really hurt the BBC too much. Savile was always a ‘it was another time, moving on..’ risk, but McAlpine still amazes me with who is still in place and working their magic having seen the licence fee payer dumped with the clean up bill. Hugs all round.
The Future of the BBC has shown less promise than hoped (at least so far) by near ignoring (or suppressing) just how the BBC abuses the money it is handed, and is seemingly more concerned with how it gets handed as much or more ‘in the future’ with less accountability or the public noticing or those disgusted having the option to withdraw their financial support if they have anything more complex in their house than a toaster.
However, with the Telegraph and even some MPs joining in on the subscription talks, and Mr. Purnell talking either utter BS (on the inability to ID users… like every other service does and has for years) or making idiot threats (to Ceebeebies? Really? “Uncle Mark needs his pension soooo much, all mummy and daddy’s licence fee obligation has to go to him rather than you getting spun a revisionist tale from history”) smacks of bunker mode.
I think a new Downfall is called for. “Steiner… Steiner… says that we can’t just round up everyone who’ve cancelled their TVL DD and gas them for also owning a laptop, as it may be less easy to keep the lid on as easily as before…”
Woah… Clear the decks! Seems the BBC has had a press release from a debt charity, this time about council taxes.
And it’s straight to screen with this one.
Guessing the discussion will not immediately focus on sparing those struggling to pay via reductions in staff pay or pensions? Maybe… just guessing… higher rates or fewer services using the Purnell Doctrine: ‘If we don’t get our money we’ll have to sacrifice the kids’ shows first to keep Laura K’s Newsnight salary going’.
Star Date: 13/03/14, time 07.50 and listening to Radio 4. (Why do I do it?) I have just listened to the biggest load of crap ever spouted on the *Thought for the Day* by some Bishop from Leeds. Apparently the Great White shark that is swimming about in the sea is where it is because of climate change and all those that recently suffered in the Somerset Levels because of flooding, suffered because of Climate Change and the hole in the ozone was fixed because of the banning of CFC’s, trouble is BIsh’ the hole has apparently come back. What a Bell End? Unbelievable tosh and pure BBC narrative, what a joke but the joke good listener, is on us. Utter drivel from your BBC.
“One thing we have learnt just in the last year with sharks in the Atlantic is what we used to think was too cold simply is not,” he said.
“Lydia has come over from Nova Scotia [in eastern Canada]… These sharks have the capacity to deal with very cold water temperatures for long periods.”
Rather than choosing the waters off Florida or the Caribbean, this shark chose to cruise the frigid waters off Novia Scotia during November, December and January. If it ever comes to Britain it will find British waters balmy in comparison. It has currently headed north towards Greeenland.
Always had sharks off our coasts. Fishing for them is, or used to be a major sport. Same with Tuna. Big ones at that .I do not know if it is still done but it was popular in the early years of the last century.
The good, although notoriously drunken, Bishop Butler used, for the first time in my hearing, the phrase “catastrophic climate change” since, obviously, “catastrophic global warming” doesn’t cut it any more.
The utter tosh spouted by Tom the Bishop (is he really a bishop – Ye Gods! ) was wrong on every stupid point he made –
1 the Somerset over-flooding was caused by the crackpot green policies adopted by the Environment Agency under its Labour green zealot Chairmen at the behest of the EU. To hell with the farmers.
2 the shortage of water for farms in the central belt of California has been caused by a crazy desire to alter the management of water supplies to protect the smelt – to hell with the farmers,
3 anyone who visits New Zealand knows that there is still severe risk from the hole in the ozone layer
4 the great white shark coming at us is the latest urban myth being peddled by the Warmists
The Bishop’s flock in Yorkshire can suffer enormous and unwanted social change without demur from the Bishop. He is too busy being conned by the faux “science” of the climate catastrophists.
Thought for the Day ? No – total Bilge for the Day
We all know that the cultural Marxists at the bBC are always looking for new ways to damage / destroy the UK and the West in general. This morning it seems that they’ve found a new lever.
Today program at 08:40 runs a piece on the conference about drugs and the treaties concerning that. Certain states Uruguay and Colorado have legalised certain drugs, and it’s clear that the bBC are taking the position that they should be legalised in the UK. After all in just 6 months $2 million was raised in taxes, and what could be better than taxes ? Of course medicine in the US is private and the taxpayer isn’t picking up the tab for the fallout of drug use, unlike the UK where it would actually cost more than it raises.
The effects of legalised drug use would be massively destructive, the bBC knows this, and drags on a pro legalisation interviewee, it does not by way of balance interview a pro illegalist, other than the man leading the conference, and you can tell by the questioning where the bBC is standing.
It’s horrific that an institution which once had moral values has changed to a monster so distorted, and destructive, that it bears little resemblance to its former status.
The environmental “charidees” are wringing their hands over that nasty fracking, again. Their main concerns appear to be the slaughter of bats and birds by fracking installations, having conveniently forgotten the wholesale slaughter of those same species by the wind turbines, which are quite OK, in their view.
They complain of the noise and lights at night from the drilling rigs. The drilling operation is relatively short lived, in reality, and the remaining infrastructure for the control of gas from the wells is minimal – far less noticeable than, say, a wind turbine, of which there are thousands. Poor RSPB, poor Wildlife – if only they could remove their blinkers. But they won’t, will they? Humans are an insignificant species, in their eyes.
Well by their standards i.e a model prediction not real world data! then all airports and military airfields plus all bombing ranges must be completely devoid of wild life and therefore planes are not suffering increases in bird strikes from the sanctuary that invariably exists next door! The R.A.F has real world not fake model problems with wind turbines as their low level flying is being seriously curtailed by the dumping of windy millers all over their routes and the preceding anemometer towers which can be put with no planning and no lights ! there has been numerous near misses including a Puma that only just missed a unmapped unreported one by 20ft !
And now just to round of the today program there’s a homage to Roy Jenkins with other Liebour politicians celebrating that he removed birching from the statute book; homosexuality, and increased taxes massively, which we are told was a good thing, and what this government should have done.
It is said that you can spot the cultural Marxist by their obsession with ‘micro racism’ which they will discuss for hours without any beneficial outcome, whilst ignoring the barefoot shivering starving child dressed in rags. The socialist in theory would of course be the other way around.
So whilst the culturally Marxist BBC has spent all morning discussing micro racism wimmins issues and gay rights, it has completely ignored this story on their own doorstep. It’s a tragic tale of a holiday camp for the poverty stricken kids of Salford, a Liebour council which can manage to fund every manner of ‘diversity’ ”cohesion’ etc etc and fund the bBC to the tune of hundreds of thousands a year, but has withdrawn the funding for this holiday camp for poor kids.
It also turns out, thanks to public sector funding that the camp has been mismanaged for years, but that’s a story of left wing incompetence and financial illiteracy!
Following on from a Migration Watch report saying that immigration has cost us umpteen billions there’s an immigration ‘debate’ on BBC Radio Manchester featuring a Methodist vicar who worked with ‘asylum seekers’ and refugees (a wishy-washy, liberal dipshit in other words) and an ‘asylum seeker’ who travelled from Afghanistan (like it was some sort of heroic deed akin to the Labour’s of Hercules) . Not biased then and a bit underhand conflating ‘asylum seeking’ with general Eastern European immigration which most of the complaints seemed to be about (although hilariously the asylum seeker said we should come out of the EU because it was affecting the jobs market).
So, no balance in the studio but we can always rely on the text-sending, off-message anti-immigration plebs to say it like it is … (We’re mad as hell and we’re not gonna take it anymore!!!) … something the BBC signally fails to convey in it’s broadcasting … unless it’s ridiculing them as racists.
Northern Methodist eh?
Let a thousand Flowers bloom!
And under Labour, they`ve done just that…and if we`re cretinous to let then f**k the country over AGAIN in 2015, we deserve him back as Reichskansellar.
Was it Tracy Logan I heard on Radio 4 news this morning retailing the tissue of lies and misinformation dressed up as a “report” on fracking by the National Trust? Whatever, this crapola was speeded direct from warmist central to the BBC studios and thence on-air: no nuances, no “some say” possible disagreements. This was an unapologetic piece of propaganda from the Harrabin school of faux journalism.
Yes, it was six “charities and conservation groups” I believe who were unhappy about fracking.
Since when did these parasites on the nations pockets become anything but agitprop fundees for the self-loathing liberal elites…and so they`re BOUND to talk such crap just before the new tax year comes in…they do this every year, much like the Giant Hogweed that kills all daffodils and bluebells.
These “charites and conservation groups” are taxis for hire by the EU/UN and their boilerhouse fraudshops like Greenpeace or Friends of the Urff…what else would they say, but arse up towards Mecca and show us the money.
Only the BBC listen to these chuggers…never once seen a charity shop for these sponges…just siphoned taxpayers money that deprives a decent business a chance to create a job or two.
Load of Poly Dollies who crave Islam and the Red Peril to make up their minds for them…burn them off…well worth the carbon footprint I assure you.
“But a BBC spokesman said: ‘We are satisfied that the programme was fair, balanced and followed our guidelines on impartiality.
‘Question Time goes to great lengths to ensure the panel and audience is balanced and reflects a wide range of political views.
‘The programme is a free flowing discussion with David balancing moderating the debate whilst allowing it to naturally develop.’ ”
Well there you have it. The BBC says, ‘We are satisfied that the programme was fair, balanced and followed our guidelines on impartiality.
Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, the BBC are satisfied.
Of course don’t forget Harriet Harman instructing Dimbleby to persistently interrupt Ian Duncan Smith. And when IDS refuses to be cowed by Dimbleby and presses his point, Dimbleby slips in “Harriet says you’re talking rubbish”
As posted above Radio 4 The Media Show revealed that the Question Time team maintain a database of would-be audience members, just to make sure that they get the ‘right’ people there.
“Cult of masculinity – Is macho culture causing young men to take their lives?”
I fully expected this to be another article basically blaming men for everything. The fact that it uses the term ‘cult of masculinity’ when no such thing has existed for many years now (in large part due to how the BBC has so often condemned the simple crime of even being born male) didn’t give me hope.
But, surprisingly, it’s actually a pretty good article that, as someone with long-term clinical depression myself, struck a real chord. Sure, the BBC probably endorsed its publication because of the reaction such a title and premise would generate, but it’s something that men have been saying for ages. Too many people (mostly men but there are women out there as well) think that stress or depression is a sign of weakness and either make others feel reluctant to admit when they’re struggling, or they refuse to admit it themselves. It’s nice and rare to see this actually given some focus on the site.
Of course, this being the BBC site, it will be balanced out by about five or ten articles which promote the tired feminist line of men being rapists and women being the only victims of violence that matter and so forth. But it’s important to point out when something the Beeb publishes manages to say something different and come across as truly impartial independent thought instead of the usual Newspeak bollocks they treat us to.
Feminism in hand with socialism and liberalism has one hell of a lot to answer for the state we find ourselves in today. In truth misandry is far more common in today’s society rather than misogyny which the BBC would prefer we believe.
There was a disgusting article in yesterdays DT by Cathy Newman (‘right on’ CH4 news presenter) suggesting that Nigel Farage was a misogynist for ‘liking’ women.
In every respect men are belittled today from TV adverts to the workplace and also note the BBCs attempts to big up women’s sport, cricket and football in particular.
Its a woman’s world, a world that seems to exclude men and the need for them….
Lol amusing one minute berating us men for being all sexist and useless next writing articles on the duffpost moaning about how they cannot find one to marry ?
“How immigrants ‘have cost Britain £140bn since 1995’:
Study contradicts claims immigration helps to cut taxes.”
[Excerpt]:-
“A new study starkly contradicts Left-wing claims that immigration helps to cut taxes.
“Think-tank MigrationWatch has responded to another study – given substantial coverage by the BBC last year – which purported to show that immigrants made a contribution of £25billion to the public purse between 2001 and 2011.”
Take a mid morning walk around any town center (there is not one anywhere in the country now that hasn’t been hit by immigration) and you will see endless immigrants, they’re easy to spot, even Eastern Europeans. You have to ask yourself what are they contributing? Few seem to be working, yet most can afford have a mobile phone permanently attached to their ear, probably planning their latest scam…..
Our prisons are over flowing with them, programs like Crimewatch and Traffic Cops highlight the completely out of kilter ratio of non indigenous v indigenous law breakers.
Taking into account crime, interpreters, the NHS, housing and benefits etc, etc, etc, not to mention the un-measurable strain on our creaking infrastructure, the £140bn figure is conservative to say the least.
All true except for one point. I am not so sure the crime rate is as out of kilter with numbers as official population figures imply. There are many many more of them here, totally uncounted.
How many actually revealed themselves on the census and how many chose to remain under the radar? I suggest those who declared themselves are mostly the law abiding ones!
Maybe I wasn’t clear, what I meant was that for example if the wall of shame on Crimewatch has 8 neerdowells, 50% on average are of foreign extraction, legal or illegal (as if the BBC would dare allow any more), yet (for now!) the majority of the country is by a long way white and indigenous, 90%?
90% ‘white and indigenous’? No way.
even the census has White British on just 80%.
The number of actual ethnic British is now down to probably some 42/43 million. According to the census ‘white British’ numbers are only some 45 million, and bear in mind any ‘white’ person with British citizenship may choose to so identify, including recently naturalised Poles and Portuguese etc.
If the Tesco population estimate of 80 million is anywhere near accurate then we are already down to no more than around 60% of the population. Sounds about right to me. Most towns are probably about 80% ethnic majority, but when you add in the urban city areas where ethnic Britons are now down to maybe 10-20% then across the country 60% ethnic British seems about right.
The census figures grossly understate the effect of all the immigration – legal and illegal. Census-taking is a fairly loose operation.
What is needed for the next census is a rigorous sample check. Choose specific areas and do a really close follow-up. Choose specific streets, start with the census return list of residents – and then do a house-by-house cross-check. Really strict. Legal authority to check etc, serious penalties for non-compliance.
THEN see how the results of the check compare with the original census data.
The gross up the difference to give a nationwide estimate of the amount of understatement of the true population level.
It is my understanding, possibly flawed, that there may well not be another census at all.
We now have governments of all shades who fear the plebs finding out just how badly they have shit on us.
So, far from wanting a more accurate check, you may well find no check at all.
Bastards.
Yes this is true. They have wanted to abandon the census for some time. Admittedly in its present format i.e. voluntary it is not fit for purpose, but still better than nothing at all.
We will end up with a database but they want to be sure we are outnumbered first.
Two typical instances of unthinking casual Leftism from the instituationally Leftist BBC – not from current affairs or news but in the mainstream of their entertainment broadcasting.
One:
Nick Knowles’s BBC daytime quiz show Perfection where contestants have to answer true or false to various general knowledge questions. And we have the proposition :
“David Cameron is the son of a Duke”
Of course this plays straight into the Left-liberal line of attack that characterises Cameron as a ‘toff’
Would the question : “David and Ed Miliband are the sons of a Marxist?” ever make the cut? I think not.
Two:
I chance on a BBC Radio 4 drama and am reminded why I bacame a cultural and political refugee who had no choice but flee that channel.
Imelda Staunton plays Police Inspector Julie Enfield – and why not?
However the casual Leftism comes up again and again.
The only black character is a victim : a corpse found with his kidneys surgically removed.
And the evil bad guy – inevitably – a Harley Street Doctor.
The Police visit a suspect on a rundown council estate – ‘Beven House’ so the cops remark that it ‘would make Beven turn in his grave’
Obviously Beven is being held up here as an unquestionable hero.
After a hard day of questioning medics the cop remarks ‘I’ve have enough of Private Medicine for one day’
Casual Leftism again and again.
Is this really drama or is it Soft Porn for the Leftist ear?
Instant and mindless self-absorbing abstract gratification for the frustated Leftist : that’s your BBC
This is exactly why I hardly listen to Radio 4 anymore. It seems every time I switch on some leftist agenda or other is either being discussed or reported on or has been inserted into what should be apolitical entertainment.
Your examples are so typical of what has become little more than a bloated Marxist propaganda machine.
Last Tango in Halifax has the self-employed farming woman being very rude about the Tories. In reality she would be a Tory through and through. It’s very unrealistic to portray a person of that type as a Labour supporter. Incidentally I wrote to the woman who writes this programme telling her that the way she had shown an old bloke having a ‘heart attack’ and then being in ICU was dangerously misleading and was not helpful for anyone who might have to go through that experience. She didn’t reply.
Discrimination! .. of a child …
Hmm! BBC! … where are ya!
“Teacher orders boy, 10, to remove Help for Heroes wristband worn in memory of Lee Rigby
… ‘because it might cause offence.
Yes, and I am not defending the BBC, however I imagine few schools allow wristbands just as they dont allow jewellery. I just think this particular story is a bad example of the Mail being silly, which it sometimes is, mores the pity, there are plenty of good examples for them to write about, so why choose a silly one?
Aerfen, you are quite right in what you say about *silly examples* but the reason given for the removal of this wrist band was that it *might cause offense to Muslims”. Now I wonder what would happen if any of the attire that a Muslim wears is asked to be removed, because it might *offend*?
I dont believe we are hearing the whole story. I believe the wristbands were almost certainly banned, and maybe, if the chilkd asked for reasons why they are banned this ‘offence to Muslims’, was given as simply one reason, among others, why they are seen as unsuitable. Political wristbands which can cause arguments are probably generally not a good idea in schools.
Saw the very early morning BBC NewsChannel at 5.30 ish. There was a discussion with a guest who said that he thought that the UK economy was improving well. The two presenters, one of which was Naga Munchetti howled with disbelief. Improving – is that really your view, is that the view of the City? Yes, was the answer, it is, mine and the city’s, he had to emphasise, the UK economy is improving. You could tell from the breathing that the two women did not wish to hear it.

The bBC have opened a comments page (Gee I wonder why so many people are against this faux matyrhood from the bBC) I had a look at some of them and as always looked at both the best and the worse, I wasn’t surprised to come across this on the worse:

The Manchester Evening News part of the left leaning Mirror group, printed a story of a Jihadist from the UK killed in Syria missing out the critical words – Muslim, Islam, Jihad, Radical, or anything else. It was deeply respectful.
All the posts criticising their reporting and said Martyr were removed, and the posters banned. This is of course illegal as thanks to the ECtHR service must be provided to everyone regardless of colour creed or ideology ect, but the intolerant left simply ignore that.

And here’s the web page report on it. Which includes the gem:

Not exactly an innocent either.

I see those Lefties at the Mail also go with:
‘Color of jusitce: Ford, an African-American (pictured in booking photos), was tried and convicted of first-degree murder by an all-white jury panel in 1984 and sentenced to death’
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2578823/Man-spent-decades-La-death-row-freed.html

Commonwealth Paralympics (shouldn’t that be Para-wealth Games?)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/disability-sport/25389653
‘And with a Winter Paralympics on the horizon, plus World Championships in sports including track cycling, wheelchair basketball and para-dressage, plus a number of European Championships and some para-sport events in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, there are plenty more opportunities to shine’.
So much promotion of hobby sports. Don’t the BBC ever get PUFFED out?

To round off BBc breakfast a discussion on the new re-vamped I player. Personally I’ve never found the need to use it but never mind. Yes you can watch it without a license and yes it’s free. Ohh and they are putting on content more like you tube, they then show a naff clip of a short film specially made for I player. Despite talking about how it’s free strange that there is no mention of charging for it in the future. So is the idea hyping it up getting as many on board as possible and hope there’s not too much drop off if a charge is subsequently made.

BBC New Politics.

Naturally the BBC is busy rallying the opposition to their chosen badguy.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-26531310
‘Ukraine crisis: Russians opposed to Putin’
I wonder what the BBC had in mind here?

Russians are patriotic. No ifs or buts. The liberal just cannot handle the notion that a person might really feel this way. And what is the BBC? Nothing but liberal central and a perfect example of illusionary thinking.
The liberal has the same problem with the EDL. Funny they do not with the Scots Nats.
To be a liberal is to despise England and ultimately yourself.
More and more of us are thankfully immune.

Nazi is short for “National Socialist” which is confusing until you discover that in the 1930’s, the Nazis regarded themselves as left-wing socialists.
Apart from Blair, I cant think of any other person that could be called a right-wing Socialist, other than members of the BNP.

I would agree with the morons, as regards the destruction of the ‘British Broadcasting Corporation’
But the destruction of Britain would only mean I would have to base my nationalism on the more ethnically based nationalism of being English.
So the BBC seem to be supporting the EDL on that issue.

I actually think the BBC is not pro-SNP, rather the BBC is pro-Socialist and anti-British nationalism which makes for some sympathy. However the BBC ultimately wouldn’t bite the (big British) hand that feeds it.

Excellent points, Umbongo, and either beyond the limited understanding of an intellectually-challenged and (for the world’s greatest investigative journalists) remarkably incurious BBC bunch or, more likely in this case, inconvenient truths best left unsaid.

For INBBC’s Casciani and ‘Jihad Newsnight’ on their Islamikaze ‘hero’:-
‘Daily Mail;

The dangerously misleading INBBC’s Casciani, just two examples for now:-
1.)
Casciani wrongly says:-
“Fighters who filmed the attack shouted the customary cry ‘God is Great’. ” NO, they didn’t, Casciani. They shouted: ‘Allahu Akbar’ which means something quite different-
“No John, ‘Allah Akbar’ Does Not Mean “Thank God” and It Matters”
by Daniel Greenfield
http://www.frontpagemag.com/2013/dgreenfield/no-john-allah-akbar-does-not-mean-thank-god-and-it-matters/

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2033654/Dirty-Den-takes-Bulgaria-Leslie-Grantham-goes-abroad-star-quality-TV-show.html

‘The BBC has admitted it has been a little unfair in its reporting of the EU debate.’
Sort of! It was the old BBC ‘We used to be biased but not any more’ ploy, which is quite clearly a load of bollocks.
The BBC – they think you’re stupid
18 likes

I confidently predict that “bashing the EU” will become a xenophobic hate crime within a few years….and the BBC will self-refer itself to be equally sensate, and deserving of protection from xenophobes who resent their virtue, and the chance to “make a contribution” to the “national conversation” by declining to pay the License fee.

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator.”

I wonder why that could be . . .

It’s worth reading the following article for several reasons.
BBC: decriminalising licence fee evasion could spell the end of kids’ TV
BBC chief James Purnell says making licence fee evasion a civil offence could force the closure of CBBC and CBeebies
Now look at his logic:
The BBC is also arguing that decriminalisation would penalise the poor.

This is the agenda BHO is pursuing in the USA

A disgraceful example of bias

From the article:
Scrap the pile of shite ASAP.

Of course don’t forget Harriet Harman instructing Dimbleby to persistently interrupt Ian Duncan Smith. And when IDS refuses to be cowed by Dimbleby and presses his point, Dimbleby slips in “Harriet says you’re talking rubbish”
The only rubbish here is the BBC (and Harman)

According to the census ‘white British’ numbers are only some 45 million, and bear in mind any ‘white’ person with British citizenship may choose to so identify, including recently naturalised Poles and Portuguese etc.
http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/census/2011-census/key-statistics-for-local-authorities-in-england-and-wales/rpt-ethnicity.html

Sadly I think we now need a database, if you are not on it no health care no schooling no job no benefits.

Casual Leftism or is it Leftist Porn?

Neither is blaming the non-Muslim victim.

The BBC’s bias is shown again. The BBC is not to be trusted.
