I heard the piece and have to say that it was driven by Webb – he seemed almost peeved when the ‘expert’ refused to confirm his view that the Tony Blair was unrecognizable and was not ridiculing GWB’s efforts as he had clearly been brought on to do. Webb persisted though and left the listener in no doubt as to his own mocking unpleasant patronising character. Contrary to what he and his cohort probably think it made him look like a pathetic name calling bully. Maybe he could replace Mark Lawson ….
The bit that struck me was “For a president long criticised for seeing things only in black and white” – err by whom BBC, by whom? You don’t tell us.
I forgot to say that I thought the pictures of the world leaders were instantly recognisable with the exception of the one of Blair. It looks nothing like a prick!

The Beeb slipped up tonight on the 24 hour news. They brought on an Art expert who said that if Obama had signed them everybody would have agreed they were great. How did they let that one sneak through?
