6pm News, the Conservatives received a large donation a month before the Malaysian aircraft had been shot down by a British citizen but the Labour line reported with glee by the BBC News that it should be returned as though the Conservatives can predict future events.

Really? You have the name of the person who pressed the button, and he’s British?

Or is it that a lack of punctuation has led to you typing something you didn’t mean to ?

It’s actually a British citizen (at least as British as all those Britons off to help certain charities in the Levant) who has left Putin’s Russia to come and live to the UK. But why should the BBC let the facts spoil an excuse to attack the Conservatives.

Perhaps it’s worth going back to Monday’s 10am news on Five Live, where the BBC try to have their cake and eat it.

A (much craved for?) split between Osborne and Cameron had emerged, MH17 over sanctions, was what was inferred by the news reader – Cameron had been quite clear; ‘sanctions needed to be toughened and the EU had to change its approach to Russia’. The BBC were equally clear – ‘BUT’ Osborne took a different line implying a depressingly European-style response (France and Germany having one eye on their weapons sales to the Kremlin and their energy supplies from it), Was Osborne’s ‘realpolitik’ at work suggesting that further sanctions would hurt Britain’s economy?

The only problem being that Osborne didn’t quite say what the BBC had reported. Yes, he said that sanctions would hurt Britain, BUT as the report confirmed a little later in the bulletin Osborne went on to suggest that it was a price worth paying…’yes Britain will take an economic hit, but thing of the hit as you put it [NB: he was obviously answering a loaded question]…by allowing international borders to be ignored and plane to be shot down’.

This was another instance of a BBC headline bearing no actual reality to the story…but of course by the time the listener gets to what Osborne actually says, the BBC has misrepresented him and has done its damage.

Deeply cynical, deeply dishonest, deeply corrupt.

Not on the so called impartial BBC due to censorship of climate science, scientists and scientific debate even with politicians and journalists. But on Al Jazeera, Freeview channel 83, 8pm tomorrow, Friday 25th July, Head to Head, presenter Mehdi Hasan challenges leading man-made global warming sceptic and world leading Atmospheric Physicist , Professor Richard Lindzen, at the Oxford Union, on his view that concern about global warming is alarmist nonsense. But alarmism is essential for generating funds and taxpayer money for the left-wing environmental social parasites at the BBC, Green party, Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, Grantham Institute and Tyndall centre, because they want the worlds governments to stop the climate from changing. But Lindzen thinks that this is not scientifically possible, and therefore they are all a waste of space, which is why these social parasites insist that the BBC maintains total censorship.

Pounce how are you any better than any of the left wing Fascists who want to control our thoughts and opinions?

You might not approve of someone who changes their gender, but to try to maintain some lunatic position that it hasn’t happened lessens your point enormously.

Do you not believe in freedom? Freedom to be gay trans whatever you want to be? Or is it that just like the Fascist left you feel that your opinion is so important that it has to be imposed on everyone else?

Fine for you to attack the concept and the process of gender change – and you can also attack the medical evidence, although I think you’ll find that difficult, but attacking the individual is beneath you.

I think the BBC is putting out and repeating all these environmental propaganda programs because it is now hotter than it was last month and the month before that, so we are now experiencing the height of the Global warming season which peaked on St Swithins day. The Global cooling season is now upon us, so the BBC propaganda programs should now gradually fade away.

A live link to St Helena, where they have randomly managed to find a non-white person to chat to about the St Helena team.

OK, nothing wrong with that, per se, however around 25% of St Helenians are white. So how come the BBC did not select a person from the white ethnic minority to interview? That is not very diverse of them, in my opinion.

Well frankly, it doesn’t matter to me what ‘colour’ the Saints actually are (or indeed anyone for that matter), just that the BBC (and indeed a lot of other establishments) never ever seem to pick a white person to represent a ‘random’ person from British society, for interviews, adverts, whatever, even though white people are ~75% of the population.

They always go with the 25%.

Except with when the 75% are not white, which is where the Saint Helena bit came in, so I would expect them to apply their normal rules and go with the minority, but no.

I read the Guardian article by the bBC fav Owen Jones regards the bBC expose last night about British arms sales to Russia. Like most of the left Owen promotes the view that the Uk sold arms to Saddam, really. I’ve been saying since 2003, please point out to me one British made weapons system sold by the Uk used by Saddam. To that end could anybody name me one US made weapons system. Now before the clones get a hard on and point me in the direction of a picture of Rumsfeld, I taught British soldiers going to Iraq what weapons systems they would face. As I did my course in late 2001, I was pretty well clued up and I had access to the entire British military database and guess what I didn’t have to teach them about any UK/US weapons system. Now I was teaching men and women going to war and not as some armchair backseat driver who read that Tony Benn said so. (Funny enough in London at a stand I was on, I was ushered away when it transpired I was going to hit Benn with the Question…”Name me a British weapon system used by Saddam?)
    So…

Much more sinister are the sales to Libya under Gaddafi by one Tony BLiar. Arms sales had been suspended in 1985m but were restarted again 2004. Oddly though there doesn’t appear to be anything about this on the BBC !

I don’t know where you are going with this, so I will get straight to the point:
        1) Those so called weapon sales were made in…1976.

        2) Listed are:
The documents show that, in 1976 and 1977, a variety of equipment was sold to Iraq, including 20 Cymbeline mortar-locating radar – at a cost of £11m – combat support boats, and £7.4m of weapons effects simulators.

        1) None of the above are weapon systems, but rather service support items used by CSS units
Also those arms sales were made in the financial year 76-77. The Combat Support Boat or CSB didn’t come into British service until 1982., I know that for a fact as I am a CSB operator and the only 2 countries which purchased and used the boat (other than us) were the US and the Greeks.

I’m not really going anywhere, as it’s as you said a non story. The ‘arms’ allegedly sold were not offensive in any way.

BAck to Owen expanding on the bBC news that the Tories are selling weapons to Russia. Here is what he has to say:
A glance at the countries the UK’s heavily subsidised weapon industry sells to – Russia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt – should rid you of any illusions about our foreign policy
This was of course brought about the bBC hitting the headlines with:
Cameron to check arms export licences to Russia
David Cameron has vowed to examine licences for the sale of arms to Russia after claims they breached a ban.

It comes after MPs warned that export licences for the sale of arms, including components for anti-aircraft guns, remained in place despite fears Moscow was arming rebels in Ukraine.

No 10 said the UK had not sold arms to Russia’s armed forces since March.

it considers its approved and still extant arms export licences to Russia valued at £132

sights are currently compliant with the following Government’s Arms Export Licencing
Criteria: One, Two, Three, and Four. (See paragraph 474 of Volume II of this Report.)

On 18 March 2014 the Foreign Secretary announced in the House of Commons that the Government was suspending arms exports licences to Russia.[428] The Export Control Organisation (ECO) subsequently issued a Notice to Exporters announcing that it had suspended a number of licences for incorporation in third countries of military and dual-use goods exported from the UK before subsequently being exported to Russia.[429]

The top chart shows direct export licences from the UK to Russia which have been suspended.

The bottom chart shows export licences granted to other countries which use them for their own arms sales to Russia, A different kettle of fish, we have South Africa which runs the only official repair facility for Russian helicopters in in…Africa. so really we aren’t selling to Russia or they to Russia
            http://www.engineeringnews.co.za/article/denel-aviation-launches-new-maintenance-centre-for-russian-helicopters-2013-03-27

Italy with its partnership with Yak to develop the Yakovlev Yak-130, the Italian version is called Alenia Aermacchi M-346 Master, so really again we are not selling to Russia as such with these, However Russia is buying 700 odd Iveco LMV (same as our Panther) and the vast majority of our sales to Italy are used in that sale.

To France, Russia is currently purchasing 2 warships from Paris (Mistral) with an option for 2 more.
£1bn contract for 2, and yet to the bBC, we are guilty of selling arms to Russia direct, rather than honouring a contract to our EU neighbour. which we may not like, but as the ships are 80% complete, we can’t afford to lose our friendship with France over a contract.

The irony here is both countries UK and France had no problem turning away from Israel due to Arab pressure. The UK with the Chieftain tank which Israel helped design and then we sold to Jordan and Iran.
France with the Mirage 5 which Israel designed and then sold onto Egypt, Libya and the UAE. The french tried to stop the IDF getting a number of boats that the ISraeli paid for, but they took them from under the noses of the French navy.

Whilst in the Army I had heard rumours of Chieftains in service with the IDF. I’m a an ex Chieftain crewman myself. Now I know it was true. “During a secret operation in 1966, two British made “Chieftain” MBTs, first in the world with 120mm a main gun, were brought to Israel for a 4 years long evaluation for service with the IDF. The plan was for the IDF not only to purchase the British MBTs, but for IMI (Israeli Military Industries) to buy production rights. After the trials were done Israeli improvement and ideas were implemented by the British manufacturer, but British politicians deceive Israel and the program was shut-down. The knowledge earned during the improvements on the “Chieftain”, together with earlier experiments in tank improvements, gave the last push for the development and production of the “Merkava”(Chariot-S105) Indigenous MBT”

What on earth is all this diversification here by trying to implicate David Vance.
The facts are plain and simple:
Labour were the Government and they got this decision wrong:
      Same as:
      1. The lunatic Benefits culture.
      2. Bank Regulation – They destroyed our economy again – the second time they were in Government in my lifetime.
      3. Labour presided over the slowest growth in 50 years; they produced the fastest decline in British manufacturing since manufacturing began.
      4. They left us mired in the longest recession ever bequeathing us the largest deficit in peacetime history,
      5. The debt so huge our Grandchildren will still be repaying it off.
      6. Blair got rid of most of Thatcher’s EU rebate leaving us a daily bill of 57 million PER DAY, (chortling after-dinner promise from Jacques Chirac that he’d make Tony Blair President of the EU, which he didn’t. A small mercy and big escape – EU encouraged Ukraine trauma without him – imagine what would be the situataion with him).
      7. Immigration – where does one start?
They wanted to rub our noses into it – they certainly did that.
Nearly 4 million net increase, (plus god knows how many illegal’s). More than entered these islands in the preceding 1,000 years combined.
      8. But instead of catering for this deliberate increase with schools, doctors, housing: THEY nearly destroyed the NHS – including avoidable death rates going through the roof – 1,200 died in Mid-Staffordshire alone. Taking us back to medieval times of the Black Death.
      9. Talking of Medieval –
the Wars they got wrong – Afghan & Iraq being there most heinous crimes –
      resulting in ISIS –
radiclising UK Muslims to Syria and Rigby, FMG, Muslim Paedo gangs all over our land.
This is a brewing legacy which we all, (including the vast majority of non-radical decent Muslim population themselves), will have to face up to determinedly when the time comes – in the same way we stood up to Hitler – mark my words!
      10. They built less houses under there reign than since the 20s – notwithstanding this millions increase in the population! They now even question why house prices have no longer become affordable by the upcoming generation, since they made it an area only the rich can enjoy, like their current front bench ‘Millionaires Row’ – not to mention the Blair’s!
      11. They raided 5 billion a year from pensions.
      12. They sold off 400 tons of UK gold at the lowest price possible – yet they want to criticise Royal Mail sell off – totally different league! More neck than a Giraffe!
      13. UK School results slipped from in the world’s top 5 to now in the late 20s. Biggest error was closing Grammar Schools which gave the poor a chance – and allowing Muslims to run Madras’s – another legacy we currently having to unpick!
      16. They failed to build a lot of the other necessary infrastructure such as power stations. ZERO is that total.
      13. Its easy now to forget the Millennium Dome – 800 million pounds lost – it seems insignificant chicken feed now compared with the total overall legacy!
      18. They continually increased fuel duty by over 107% – YES that much – now thankfully escalator dropped.
      19. Brown sneakily, discreetly signed the Lisbon treaty, giving vast amounts of power to the EU – going against their own manifesto in which they specifically said they would give the people a referendum.
      20. Allowing rich people to buy peerages – even Police interviewed the Prime Minister – what sort of Prime Minister is that! Possibly the one currently under-going Maxwellisation under Chilcot!
      21. Started HS2.
      22. PFI – again where does one start – just £50 Billion’s worth is costing us £300 Billion in repayments-genius!
      23. They have given us a radical Muslim problem which sometime in the future the country is going to have to face head on.
      24. They can’t even run their party finances with constant debts – Nor Co-op Bank – relying on Union Barons to call the shots.
      25. Under Labour MPs fiddling/expenses ballooned – same as Pedophile scandals.
Even 5 Labour MPs found guilty of expenses fraud by a court and sent to prison26. Racist Diane Abbott.,
      27. Labour corruption from Eccleston to Qinteq defence service making LABOUR Lord Drayson worth over £542 MILLION
      28. The gap between rich and poor widened vastly under Labour?
      28. They allowed a substantial amount of our 0.7% overseas aid pledge to be corrupted.
      29. Sucked up to crony public sector Unions inflating public pay and pensions way above the private sector.
      30. Imposed postal voting extension open to political corruption – just look at Tower Hamlets recently – tip of an iceberg!
      31. Packed Quangos full of Labour cronies that it is causing huge ongoing problems for the majority of the Nation who do not vote Labour.
      32. Impoverished millions with the Climate Change Act of alternative energy zealotry.
      33. Created the catastrophe of multicultural extremism by damming those RACIST who dared to point out the real issues.
      34. Sent our military to wars under equipped – heinous.
      35. Created welfare as a lifestyle, with the totally dysfunctional tax credit system, and the catastrophe of excessive housing benefit
      36. Labour insisted on 50% of pupils going to university even though degree level jobs for only 20%.

Got a 100 other points – but the blood pressure too much now!

This morning on Radio 4 the BBC spoke of the two Manchester girls in Syria and said that one had learnt to assemble a gun . The report ended saying that “it was probably being used for self defence” So this girl sounds alright then !!! There is no evidence that this is true – it is fabricated to give the idea that these girls are not engaged in killing people . It is an example of pure biased reporting in a news item…

They are also consistently reporting the lowest possible number of ‘British’ people who have travelled to fight there, at 500, when other estimates are as high as 1500.

In a week when the UN has accused Israel of possible war crimes, it’s a bit sickening given the images and comments from these blood thirsty savages that they are not accused of the war crimes they have committed, nor the ‘British’ men who have admitted carrying them out.

Never mind them being prosecuted for ‘terrorism’ offences when they get back, war crimes carry much longer penalties.

The inevitable reporting of the execution of the criminal in the USA and the time it took him to die.
To be fair to the BBC they did report that the cause was the UK and EU ban on exporting the drugs which would have effectively ended his life quickly and humanely, but the blame is squarely apportioned on the Americans, who should have just complied with the bullying socialist EU whose love of criminals and criminality knows no bounds.

The BBC wheel out several witnesses and lefty uman rights activists to make their case and fail to interview anyone in support of the case. In addition they did not report the crimes he was being executed for.

contrast this with the abc news report:

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/arizona-execution-takes-hours-prompts-plea-stay/story?id=24687542

“One thing is certain, however, inmate Wood died in a lawful manner and by eyewitness and medical accounts he did not suffer. This is in stark comparison to the gruesome, vicious suffering that he inflicted on his two victims – and the lifetime of suffering he has caused their family.”

Wood, 55, was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder February 25, 1991, and sentenced to death July 2, 1991.

Wood was involved in an unstable five-year relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Debbie Dietz, during the time of the crime. On August 7, 1989, Wood walked into the local body shop owned by her family and shot Debbie’s 55-year-old father, Gene Dietz, in the chest with a .38 caliber revolver, according to a statement from the AG.

Wood later located Debbie, and shot her once in the abdomen and once in the chest, killing her as well, the document stated.

Jeane Brown, sister of Debbie Dietz, said at the press conference today that “it’s been a long 25 years. Horrible 25 years. What I saw today, with him being executed, is nothing to the day it happened on August 7th, 1989. This was nothing. I don’t believe he was gasping for air, I don’t believe he was suffering. Sounded to me as though he was snoring. Finally it has come to a point in his life, where we can put this behind us, and continue to move forward although I still have to live the rest of my life without my sister and my father.”

An Associated Press reporter who witnessed the execution said: “Mr. Wood was gasping for air in 5-12 second interval for almost two hours. An hour and fifty minutes. It was almost like snoring – it looked like he was yawning almost, that’s how it looked, without sound.”

This is a markedly different report from the BBC, hardly recognisable as the same incident. They certainly didn’t report ‘yawning’ and looking like he was ‘snoring’, as that suggests a much more peaceful passing than the traumatic picture they painted.

If we are going to have executions they should be quick and painless. Vets can kill animals with what appear to be minimal suffering, must be possible to do the same with people.

The suffering of children in Syria or elsewhere is a separate issue and should not influence how executions are carried out.

Obama if he dared criticise Islam would condemn stoning but his own country is using methods of killing that are almost as bad. I would of course acknowledge that at least in America the person being executed is at least likely to be guilty of more than ‘shaming’ their relatives.

Economist Noreena Hertz is busy promoting the paperback release of her book Eyes Wide Open: How to Make Smart Decisions in a Confusing World, courtesy of the BBC. After delivering a lecture on her “deep scepticism about expertise” for Radio 4’s Four Thought, the Professor at the Centre for the Study of Decision-Making Uncertainty at University College London yesterday joined Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 for his What Makes Us Human slot.

Hertz’s husband, Danny Cohen, the BBC’s director of television, must be delighted that the Corporation is giving Noreena such airtime. Surely another Newsnight appearance isn’t out of the question — many a BBC executive may well be packing it in their bag for summer reading.

Oh how the BBC has loved the spurious UN claims that Israel may be committing war crimes. And now can add in Lady Amos of the UN talking about continuing casualties and the pressures on UNRWA.

Sarah Montague was in fine form at 8.10amon the Today programme, her entire tone was gunning for Israel. Nil recognition that most of the genuinely-civilian casualties have been caused by Hamas human-shield tactics. For instance, Montague (and also Paul Adams) seemed blissfully unaware that the Shuji’aya district should have been entirely evacuated after 48 hours of warnings from the IDF. And no recognition that Hamas had ignored repeated ceasefires intended to allow any remaining evacuations to happen. Because Hamas actually wants telegenic piles of bodies.

The BBC line now appears to be : “We can vilify the Israqelis at will, no need to hold Hamas spokesmen’s feet to the fire. And we must have a ceasefire, any kind of ceasefire – and as Hamas wants the border controls relaxed then that must be part of it”.

No mention by the BBC of the furious criticism by Canada of the UN “war crimes” nonsense, and still the underlying failure to explain the threat of the tunnel infrastructure and why it is essential to destroy it before there can be any realistic ceasefire.

Last night The Moral Maze gave a much fairer debate on the issues. One of the speakers was a nutty professor who believes that Hamas terrorism is OK – which seemed to chime well with panellist Rev Giles Fraser, but Melanie Phillips in particular slapped the nutty prof down with real heat.

The latest, nauseating in its sycophancy, was on R4’s Woman’s Hour this morning, in which, against a backwash of giggling children and happy voices (carefully sculpted to appeal to the target audience of course) we were treated to the usual propaganda designed to ‘educate’ us into believing that this religion is an asset to the UK and that its adherents are ‘just like us, really’.

No doubt the ‘sisters’ who produced this tosh were the usual BBC right-on Marxist-feminist-atheists, to which islam is implacably opposed. But never mind, deep thought and resolving impossible contradictions in your beliefs has never been a Left wing strong point, has it?

A Sudanese woman who was spared a death sentence for renouncing Islam has flown to Italy

So reading that, would you get the impression, that actually, she broke the rules and Islam being magnanimous let her leave. Hey is how the leftwing Guardian reports the same story:
Sudanese woman spared death sentence for apostasy arrives in Italy
Meriam Ibrahim, a Christian Sudanese woman spared a death sentence for apostasy after an international outcry, has arrived in Italy…Ibrahim was sentenced to 100 lashes for adultery and to death for apostasy in May, sparking an international campaign to lift the death sentence. More than a million people backed an Amnesty International campaign to get her released, with David Cameron, the British prime minister, and the US civil rights activist Jesse Jackson among world leaders who clamoured for her release

The bBC must be reporting from another planet or perhaps whitewashing intolerant Islam as only they can.

It shows in this instance that because of the exposure it received in the media, unlike the millions who suffer without a mention, that the subsequent political and social pressure was enough to force the Islamic government, in this case the Sudanese, to show some humanity.

The failure by the BBC and mainstream media to report more of these abuses, in an attempt to sanitise or appease these foul regimes or mindset, makes them complicit in all those who have and will continue to suffer as a result.

Also, I think Prof Lindzen is too subtle and nuanced, which could be because he has to temper his views with his academic post in mind. The debate needs some well-argued facts about the scientific evidence, the scientific method, the failure of the IPCC-supported ‘models’ and the warmist propaganda being used to brainwash people. Christopher Monckton is good at it, but he needs a civilised and impartially-chaired debate – as far as you can get from the carefully stage-managed, BBC-style ‘kangaroo court’ type of event where he is outnumbered by a shouty and interrupting opposition which, of course, would include the BBC ‘chair’.

At the end, Honderich stated: “We must engage in mass civil disobedience. It can work. Bring down the real friend of terror.”

The Home Office would not deal with this incitement and redirected the complaint to the police, who rejected it. The following January, the British media watchdog OFCOM said: “We judged that Professor Honderich’s closing statement was meant in a moral sense and not intended to be taken literally.”

    2. A Black Archive-apparently there are not enough Valerie Amos, Dianne Abbotts or Paul Boatengs about…so here`s free puff for another left-liberlal token idea for the BBC to shove in our fat white faces.
Funnily enough-we of Irish descent get no such crawling from Humphrys and his editors…nor do the REAL black men and women who held families together and actually WORKED whilst the likes of Boateng, Umuna and Jaspers were living off the public purse sucking all that Darcus Howe, Stuart Hall or Gus John was spouting for them.
    3. How do we pronounce Glasgow?…is it shit or shite?
Wish I had the BBCs problems if THAT makes an item on the Toady Show.
And all this from a self righteous bunch of fags( in the private school sense, Scott!) and fakes from Winchester and Oxbridge who let paedos camp their ice cream vans in Wood Lane car parks-or let them use the medical room for fingering the nub of youth.
How very DARE the BBC do anything but crawl up and die…if only Mossad did private contracts eh?
And amidst the crap over the police spying-any chance we`ll hear what Labour were up to re Southall, Potters Bar and Selby?…I recall a lot of intimate smearing from the likes of Campbell..and the likes of Byers and Blair surely benefitted from THEIR spying on innocent victims of Labours malice and incompetence.

We are currently in ‘who knows?’ territory still, which given who does, and who controls whose access to finding out in that benighted area, anything that comes out must surely come with an entire Saxa factory at full production.
What surprises, but really should not, is the level of ‘expert’ analysis the BBC seems to have, or seek at such times.
Seldom much, if at all, and certainly rarely objective.
What I have just had, by special rush email, is this:
Shellfire ‘kills 15 in Gaza school’

At least 15 killed and more than 200 injured when UN-run school used as shelter in Gaza is shelled, Gaza health ministry says
I see a BBc headline mostly in ‘quotes’ I tend to assume nothing is what it should be.
I see the last word the BBC uses is [some source] ‘says’ and I consider it next to worthless.
I suppose I should have clicked on to find out more, especially the context they will doubtless claim exonerates their top line propaganda, but really… why bother? I guess it does explain why, when given notice of incoming (from both sides… Hamas seems to get a free pass for friendly fire), hospitals/schools still seemed to be operating in the firezone? Or were they simply seduced by the non-infallible accuracy of modern munitions. It seems the equivalent of popping a Barnados Home in the the middle of no man’s land at the Somme.
There’s what is, and the internet soon informs or educates me upon. And what the BBC would like it to be, which doesn’t.
Trouble is, reading the BBC World News (home of ‘I’m sorry I got caught spewing bile’ ‘journalists’) most of their audience clearly seems to be addicted to their unique form of reportage, and respond to the ‘news’ they share accordingly. There may be a ‘lie like fleas’ analogy there somewhere.

On the ‘Toda’y programme this morning, I heard the unfortunate explosions at the UNWRA school this morning described as a ‘bombardment’. (The thinly-disguised implication, of course, was that this could only have been carried out by Israeli forces)

Hell’s teeth, when will the BBC ever describe the lobbing of thousands of missiles at Israel from among the hospitals, mosques, and civilian neighbourhoods in Gaza as anything but a harmless bit of fun – but somehow two or three shells/missiles (and they aren’t even sure whose shells/missiles did the damage) constitutes an Israeli ‘bombardment’. Biased, much ?

And as for the questioning of the UNWRA prat as to whether he had any information to lead him to suspect it was anything but an Israeli shelling of the UN School…. leading and biased, much ?

What a difference: That report about police survellance, on Sky their police advisor Peter Kirkham has just called the solicitor for the ‘Saintified Lawrence etc’ Sophie Khan a LIAR. When given a chance to reply, she did not mention it. So a solicitor on peak time national news called a LIAR and does not recognise her integrity has been impugned.

Of course the bBC story and slant is very well aligned to that of Khan and the saintified.

On TWATO the BBC had some activist or other on who claimed the police had been ‘spying’ on these families. She used the word a number of times in the lengthy spot she was given to spew her propaganda, despite the police report investigating exactly that accusation and finding no evidence to support it.

Needless to say she wasn’t pulled up on it by our impartial anchor man, Ed Stourton.

Wonder if Stourton asked the woman to put her hand on her heart, to confirm that she was telling the truth?

The BBC provide the dock-Ed the Confessor-and always back those who are sticking it to The Man.

Sudan ‘apostasy’ woman Meriam Yahia Ibrahim meets Pope

Pope meets with Sudanese Christian woman who faced death sentence for apostasy

    Meriam Ibrahim meets Pope Francis

It is clear the most important aspect of this case for the BBC is that she was accused apostasy. Not that she was sentenced to death for this alleged “crime”. In their first sentence they speak of how she was sparred from the death sentence, not the total injustice of not being able to choose your religion.

Chuck Berry, The Kinks, Led Zep, Black Sabbath (fair enough), King Crimson (I’ll take your word for it), The Smiths (ffs), Sonic Youth (unlistenable crapola), Nirvana … yup, it’s the Greatest Guitar Riff (in the history of the whole world) with Kinikie legend Lauren Laverne (aaaaggghhhhhhh, please kill me).
No Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metallica, NWOBHM or Thrash but there was ‘This Charming Man’ (well, you could knock me down with a feather … or a bunch of flowers). Dismissing 80’s Rock as ‘cock rock’, ‘hair rock’, whatever, tends to miss some classic riffs (like ‘Wild Side’ by Motley Crue) … but this was a BBC programme, this was what the beeboids were listening to – Smiths, Sonic Youth, Nirvana – before they settled down to have kids … which is why it ended so abruptly with Nirvana (missing such classics as ‘Snap Your Fingers Snap Your Neck’ by Prong).
The female contribution to the riff is negligible or if we were being a bit kinder, miniscule, but this did not stop the programme from interviewing Runaways’ Lita Ford (looking a bit rough these days) and Joan Jett, presumably for some female contribution to an overwhelmingly male thing. Apparently, the music industry was sexist (boo hoo, never saw that coming) but it didn’t stop them from playing on their sexuality.
If this had been honest it’d been 90% white and 100% male. In fact, the programme seemed like a whinge by the usual suspects – blacks and women – about racism and sexism.

Anyway, here’s my favourite riff (not featured either) –

Got to love the bBC, while the whole world is reporting how the UN is saying that ISIS in Mosul has ordered all women from the age of 11 years to undergo FGM, they instead are pushing the line that it is a ….fake and that somebody is out to discredit ISIS.
Doubts grow over Isis ‘FGM edict’ in Iraq
Doubts are growing about the authenticity of an edict attributed to the Sunni Islamist group Isis controlling the Iraqi city of Mosul about female genital mutilation (FGM).

A top UN official quoted from a statement saying that Isis wanted all females aged between 11 and 46 in the northern city to undergo the procedure.

Jacqueline Badcock said the decree was of grave concern.

But media analysts say the decree seen on social media may be a fake. It has typos and language mistakes and is signed by “The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant”, a name the group no longer uses, instead referring to itself as the Islamic State. Some bloggers suggest that the alleged fatwa, which has been circulated on social media for about two days, may have been aimed at discrediting Isis.

Hummm, I wonder who these Media analysts the bBC quotes are?

The bBC, defending the indefensible, becasue that is what they do.

Funny how the BBC can show signs of forensic levels of investigative reporting when it suits, yet simple facts freely available on the internet and from other news sources elude them at other, less convenient, times. So, for example, what never needs investigating is any report of casualties coming out of Gaza.

      Funny, that.

He was going red in the face shouting down the camera at an Israeli military spokesman, with an onslaught of Left-wing anger and hatred; it was seething out of him. Rudeness and aggressive behaviour the likes of which I’ve rarely seen on the mainstream news screen. I urge you to watch this edition of the channel 4 news and flood twitter to speak out. Today about 7.45 am. Humphrys and co have now come up with more anti female bias, apparently there are more letters to national newspapers from men than women. They had a lady on bemoaning the fact and claiming the usual institutional bias. But never mind it tuns out that women are far too busy doing more useful things than writing letters to papers; thus Humphrys concluded letter writing was of little importance. Just another way of knocking men by the BBC.
Incidentally I have been married to the same lovely wife for 40 years have a daughter who knows her own mind and two little girl grandchildren who can get their granddad to do just about whatever they want….I know my place!
Immediately following this we had Thought for the Day with Professor of Islamic studies at the Scottish University, the well name Mona Sidiqui.
What a chance for Humphrys and the female letter complainant to ask Monalot how many letters from women are published in newspapers in Afghanistan or Pakistan, if they have to be read and approved by husbands.
In fact the whole subjugation of women in those countries could have made an interesting debate with Humphrys demanding answers. Only the night before there was an item about young widows in Afghanistan who could not even leave their own house unless accompanied by their mother and could only marry again if it was someone from her late husbands family.
What a pity the upcoming weather forecast prevented Humphrys and co from challenging Monalot on the subjects with her strict Islamic views it would have been fascinating.
You may remember some years ago Mona said that two charity workers captured by the Taleban in Afghanistan who claimed the pair were Christians and had bibles, deserved their intended fate, execution, because they should not have gone into Afghanistan in the first place.

Do the BBC EVER treat people from ANY other country as rudely as they treat Israelis?? The problem is that words and aggression to one side seen on the TV in the home do make an enormous impact on people even if they are not really interested in the conflict. Prof Irwin Cotler former Canadian Justice Minister (Jerusalem Post 28th September) starkly said “the Holocaust did not begin in the gas chambers –it began with words” There are numerous times that the BBC incite hatred by being aggressive to Israeli point of view. In the past the BBC had been well aware of the direct connection of words of incitement to actual violence in the streets. In the late 1960’s,for example, the BBC gave guidelines to their journalists to be sensitive in their use of words relating to issues surrounding the mass immigration of Ugandan Asians into Britain. .

I agree. There have been numerous occasions in the present Gaza conflict where the BBC has abused Israel – by misdescribing what is really happening, by inaccurate web articles, and by the dismissive sneering tone of some of its interviews. The cumulative effect is very large and is bound to have serious effects – not just in the UK, but around the world on the World Service.

Last night – the sneering blame-casting of Emily Maitles on Newsnight. .On the World Service early this morning, around 5am, there was a long session on Gaza – with major errors of fact or omitted fact, ignorant or malevolent presenters. Later on this morning – the appalling tone and non-realism of John Humphrys. On and on it goes, daily cycles of bias and inaccuracy. Far too many instances for us to record here. Bile against Israel on every channel, every day.
